My stay at Holiday Inn Express was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The lobby was clean, modern, and had a cozy atmosphere. The room itself was comfortable and well-appointed. The bed was incredibly cozy, and I had a great night's sleep. The amenities provided were top-notch, and I appreciated the little touches like the complimentary toiletries and the coffee maker in the room. One thing that really stood out to me was the breakfast. The selection was impressive, with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. Whether you wanted a hearty breakfast or something lighter, there was something for everyone. It was the perfect way to start the day! 👍🙂

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Holiday Inn! The hotel's location right by the roadside was incredibly convenient, making it easy to access the highway and explore the area. The ample free parking was a huge plus, allowing me to park my car without any hassle. I loved how there were gas stations nearby, and the fact that there were numerous Asian restaurants within walking distance added a delightful culinary variety to my trip. The inclusion of complimentary parking and breakfast was a real highlight. I started each day with a delicious breakfast spread that gave me the energy I needed to embark on my adventures. The convenience of having a coin-operated laundry on-site was also a great feature that helped me keep my clothes fresh and clean throughout my stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the free gym and pool facilities available at the hotel. Being able to maintain my fitness routine and take a refreshing dip in the pool made my stay even more enjoyable. The friendly staff were always ready to assist with any questions or needs I had, contributing to the overall welcoming atmosphere. In summary, my experience at Holiday Inn was outstanding. From the convenient location and ample amenities to the welcoming staff, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my stay. I highly recommend Holiday Inn to anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

I waited for a week to get a reply from the general manager to rectify the issues I faced during my stay at the holiday inn before writing this review and have yet to hear anything. My stay with this hotel was very disappointing experience, however did wanted to mention that the front desk agent Arthur was pleasant and tried to help out. The duration of my stay I had to change room twice after check-in. The first room was not cleaned properly. There was hair on the bathroom counter, the garbage was not changed and the table had crumbs on it. The second room was right beside the elevator which I specified that I was not comfortable with. At that point, I was forced to switch to a suite which I paid for because the front desk could not change or upgrade our reservation due to booking through priceline. The room itself was great but I was not happy with the cleaning standard of the bathroom. There was a used toothbrush in the shower behind the shampoo and conditioner and the sink was not draining properly. I was too tired and irritated to even complain or think about changing to yet another room. I had asked the front desk agent if I can get a late check out which I got but got ruined with the housekeeping knocking on the door at noon. I stay at hotels quite often and I can tell you by far this has been my worst experience for the lack of customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We spent 3 nights here and had a good stay. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. They need to do some maintenance to tidy up some things though. This is a 10 floor hotel with two elevators. One of them was out of service the entire time we were there. This meant we'd have to wait 5 minutes or longer for the ekenatir at busy times like breakfast. Location is great if you need to be up around Markham. Hotel staff were friendly and I would stay here again.

Terrible hotel What is good: 1. Friendly front desk staff 2. Great cleanliness 3. Has a “pool” 4. More local restaurants within 700m than you could possibly want, (but none in the hotel) What is not good: 1. Breakfast served on paper plates with plastic cutlery and plastic cup. I am sorry, but covid measures which save money don’t cut it any longer, we know what you are doing and it is not acceptable 2. Noisiest room heater I have ever encountered 3. Room blinds broken 4. 11 switches to turn on all room lights, why no master switch? 5. All room USBs were broken 6. Thinnest toilet paper ever seen, high “poke through” factor 7. Low and angled shower head with poor pressure 8. “Pool” is more like a hot tub XL I could go on, this hotel is terrible, but clean,.

This hotel is not one I'd reccomend. Conference rooms have no windows, poor lighting, poor air flow and poor temperature control. Breakfast is risky on the bowels, don't eat the pork sausages unless you're trying to lose a few pounds. And their cancellation policy is just ridiculous. If I wasn't forced to stay here for courses I'd never attend again. Do better

We booked 5 rooms for my daughter’s wedding weekend. I had family come down from Ottawa and LA. We were very excited to spend time together and celebrate. The night before the wedding, I had planned a birthday surprise for my son in the lobby with family members also staying at the hotel. When I was coming down, I got stuck in the elevator for an hour. My son came and I missed the surprise that I had planned. The whole family was so concerned for me and were not able to enjoy their time. I was traumatized to the point where I had to book a different hotel as I was afraid to get in the elevator again. As this seems to be a common issue. My daughter called the general manager who said he cannot compensate my room. Everyone else paid for their room and we were asking for compensation for the one room for the horrible experience and he said he cannot do anything about it as its out of their control. It’s the general manager’s job to ensure all parts of the hotel are working and that guests feel safe. He did NOTHING to compensate and was extremely rude when speaking to my daughter.

I stayed here for my wedding weekend. The night before the wedding my mom got stuck in the elevator for an hour. She was traumatized to the point where she had to stay at a different hotel because she was scared. We had a suprise for my brother in the hotel lobby and she missed it due to being stuck in the elevator. The GM (Aejaz Kheraj) at this hotel was extremely rude when asked for compensation for the bad experience and he told me he is sorry and he cannot do anything about it and told me I do not make sense when I was sharing my concern. This GM has 0 understanding of guest experience. No compensation whatsoever. Just a sorry.

The service is alright and the room is decent. They clean well and with things you need The gym is very basic and if you expect to have a good workout it is not the place. The breakfast is alright. Love that they offer coffee 24/7

Nice spacious room! We got a king bed suite. The room has double sink vanity, microwave and fridge and ample countertop space, sofa and desk. We were able to check in early around 1pm. Good experience

The hotel itself is really nice and clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast bar is decent but I was shocked to find it only had dairy milk and yogurt options. Non-dairy options should be mandatory with the rate of lactose intolerance and veganism. They should have more vegan options in general for breakfast.

Great location for Markham area, quiet enough but still close to main Hwys. 2 Qn Suites were nice for 4 people, the extra sofa and table helps! Beds clean and breakfast options are adequate. Although one elevator was broken, was fixed during the stay. Recommend TV channels expand, was much less than Hilton Garden Inn, and parking lot potholes galore.

We had a meeting the past month here and Director of Sales Karima was excessively rude to our team while planning. From observing the communication, it felt like we were an inconvenience by asking questions. When you have guest and in the service industry it is your responsibility to ensure guest are feeling heard. Making people feel incompetent when they need clarity is quite rude. Additionally, the Friday before the long weekend the staff was playing loud music which could be heard from the meeting room. The way the staff was carrying on was also very unprofessional. The service and the behavior of the staff not the best!

I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Toronto - Markham a few times. This time is the worst. The room has become dated, has a weird smell (smell like poop) when you first entered the room, I had to ask to change room and the level of services has deteriorated. It feels more like a Holiday Inn Motel definitely not a 3 stae hotel. Besides its location, I do not recommend this hotel.

First of all, they immediately recognized me as a platinum member and upgraded me to a suite. It has been a while since that happened to me at an ihg hotel. Most of the time I have to ask for it with a no as an answer. Second of all, the room itself was really clean, the beds were nice and everything just matched for me. I regret only staying here one night, but I'll remember this hotel for a next time.

Stayed at this hotel for my cousins wedding. To begin with the night before my aunt got stuck in the elevator for an hour and the maintenance guy showed up 30 mins-45 mins after she got stuck which my aunt missed the surprise party not even that but completely scared. Secondly, there was a hockey tournament and there was a lot of young kids playing around with the elevator - playing with the buttons which could be the main cause of my aunt being stuck. When we checked out, the front desk knew about it but they didn't take action? Thirdly, trying to find parking was a nightmare. Half of the vans were service vans and there was no parking to find after 10pm, a total nightmare. We had to park at another location which led to a 5-10 min walk in the cold. I wouldn't recommended this hotel for anyone. Service was not good and my aunt should've received compensation with what she's went through.

I book hotels quite frequently for my job, and this morning I had to book a hotel for 2 of my colleagues at this hotel and it was probably the most pleasant interaction I've had booking at a Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Arthur was an absolute delight to deal with, he made booking SO easy & effortless. Thank you again to Arthur for all his help this morning!

It's an amazing 3-star hotel that makes you feel like you are in a 5-star one. The bed was super comfortable! We had an amazing sleep even with our baby between us. Sheets are wonderfully soft and pleasant to touch. The room was very clean and spacious. I got lucky and had a king size room with a sofa and jacuzzi for the price of a regular room, so we had a chance to enjoy the bubbles as well. My only dislike was that they gave us 3 towels only, so if you want to use the jacuzzi again or go to the shower in the morning - you'd have to reuse the cold wet towel. Also, the water there is pretty hard so the skin gets very dry. Grab some extra moisturizer as they give you only one small bottle. Breakfast was included in the price and was fantastic. Two types of scrambled eggs, sausages, cereal, bagels, yoghurt and fruits. There's also a machine to make your own pancakes but I didn't try it. Another amazing thing - they have complementary coffee in the lobby. I'm an avid coffee drinker, so it's important :) But on the other hand the room has only decaf k-cups. The location is perfect - right in between two major highways and is right on Hwy 7, so you can go out and enjoy some Asian cuisine.

Overall property was clean and well kept. Staff overall were friendly and attentive but a couple of front desk staff could have taken lessons on customer service and being friendly. The breakfast was very decent. The indoor pool was small but nice and clean. The laundry facility had only 1 washer and 1 dryer. Overall a very decent hotel.

Came here for one night. Needed to attend a funeral and other related events. The downstairs lobby/lounge area was great for visiting with family and friends. We ordered pizza and played games. The gym was small however it was good enough since we weren’t staying long. Staff were professional and helpful. They seemed to have a shortage of towels when we were there. Didn’t get enough wash cloths. We managed. Room had plenty of space for our large group. Would recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area.

Location was great, hotel very clean, rooms were perfect. One of the best breakfast buffets for those offering free breakfast. Keep my energized all day will definitely try to stay here again on my next trip through the area.

If I could give 6 stars I would, They were able to get us in last minute, they were so friendly and easy to work with because we were trying to get a hotel without a credit card. The rooms are so clean the bathrooms are super nice. Also, the breakfast can’t be beat. They had everything you could think of. 100% 5 stars isn’t even enough!

Well, if I could give less then 1 star I would. We booked for 3 nights, to explore Toronto Vaughan area with our 2 little kids. When we checked in, they already told us there will not be room cleaning service during my stay. Which means no clean towels for us after all day of activities with two kids and pool visits. So I asked if they could change out the towels for us at least. They only did once during our whole stay after we asking every morning before we leaving for the day. Plus, there were yellow Stings on the bed. Tub was not cleanest either. And there were a cleanness promise sign at front desk what a joke. So if u like a clean hotel this isn’t it.

The hotel facilities were generally clean including the workout facility and the rooms were serviced only upon request. The daily breakfast served was decent with real eggs, omlette, pork sausages, tea biscuit, pancakes via machine, etc. The major warning/reminder is to be careful where you park your vehicle as they have had frequent issues (according to the front desk person about 4x in the last month) of catalytic converters being stolen from parked vehicles in their parking lot. Park your vehicle in an area with direct video monitoring and well lit.

Hotel was good. The staff was helpful and friendly, although the check in and out was a bit slow. The location is not ideal, with Toronto traffic it was hard to get anywhere. Good for staying overnight when traveling on Hwy401

A Heaven for Escorts. Lots of rooms are rented by beautiful escorts on a regular basis. Management is fully aware. Not a place for families though. Also be careful as lots of clients have also been robbed.

Hotel was fairly good, could be better in term of cleanliness but staff are super friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Alin at the front desk who was an amazing person with a beautiful smile offering you all the help you need.

Room: upgraded with brand new tip top settings. Top notch fittings. Clean. No indication of Ice vending machine on each floor which you can get to know by asking gust service. Guest service: Mostly great. Eventually at midnight also it was available for any needs. Price: Got great deal through 3rd party booking site. It was value for money. However was charged a very small fee as tax which was never mentioned by any bidy during check in & check out & it's not legal to charge anything even a penny without sending the invoice or receipt. I had contacted upon finding this charge & there was no follow up on that. Location: great settings with nearby areas.

No control over AC but at least it’s there. Only slept ok because I brought a fan with me. Gym is solid, has more free weights that I’ve seen. Has mini fridge which is a must. Clean though it stinks in the hallway. They got us a crib which was nice, though no sheet.

Not bad for the price. I stayed for 6 nights by accident on a business trip (someone booked the wrong hotel). The rooms were clean and the free breakfast was decent. A little crowded at times. The worst part was a lack of a business centre. I had some printing and faxing to do and had to go off site unless I wanted to share the contents with the staff. Being that the documents were of a sensitive nature, I couldn't do that. The staff was very helpful and professional outside of that issue. Especially the beautiful young lady working the front desk. She was very courteous and has the patience of a Saint. I watched her handle long queues (while I was in the queue myself I wasn't being a creep lol) very professionally without being short with any guest. If her managers are reading this...you might want to consider giving her a raise. I stay at quite a lot of hotels around the country due to the nature of my work and I have rarely seen someone as composed as her. If I ran a hotel I'd be trying to steal her... just saying. Overall I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

Ros are very nice and clean. The large shower as opposed to the typical tub with shower in it was a welcome change that I would like more hotels to adopt. Room rate was on par with the quality of the room but I still feel it is a little high.

Hotel is updated and attractive. Staff are professional but not particularly friendly. The television was on auto dimming which meant that the screen was so dim, it was difficult to see. Staff had no idea what I was talking about when I inquired about it. Breakfast is set up with no seating area and patrons must line up to get take away bags. All other hotels have at least seating areas for vaccinated people. Elevators are scary. They sound like they are going to stop working all the time and the doors scrape open. Overall it was a decent stay, would stay again.

We had 3 rooms the night before our daughter's wedding and were very happy with our rooms and the staff. This hotel is clean, up to date and the beds were awesome. The breakfast was great and well stocked. We had one glitch with one of our rooms, but the man at the desk dealt with it quickly and efficiently.. We will definitely stay here again.
