Hands down one of the best places for Korean food in Richmond Hill, offering both delicious food and excellent service! The Spicy Naengmyun was a perfect mix of hot and sweet and sour. The Soon Tofu Jigae was spicy and loaded with tofu, the perfect comfort food for a cold day. The portion size for the Jeyeuk Bulgogi was huge, I don't think my picture does it justice. The service was excellent as well, providing hot tea and offering to refill the free side dishes of glass noodles, kimchi, squash, and seaweed. All in all, I would highly recommend!

Clean and cozy Korean restaurant. Excellent customer service. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food served hot and fast. We ordered their sweet & soy pork back ribs and signature pork bone soup. They did not disappoint. The ribs were full of flavor and very appealing serving in a hot plate. It couldn’t go wrong with a bottle of beer. The pork bone soup was also very delicious and had right amount of spices. Just too bad there was only one potato in the soup. The side dishes were fresh. I really loved their spicy radishes and they were crunchy & marinated perfectly. My daughter and I enjoyed our dinner very much. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend to friends and family.

Seen this restaurant a hundred times but never ventured to go in till this evening. First time I have eaten Korean food and I left the ordering to my colleague who is more familiar with the cuisine. Was pleasantly surprised. Chicken strips in a wonderful tangy sauce with noodles in a hot soup bowl. The Khimchi, sweet potatoes picked cucumber set the tone for a wonderful meal. Great smiling staff and pleasant ambience. Must try some more dishes soon. After all its just next door to me.

First time here. What a great experience. Everything was delicious. The short ribs were our favourite.

this restaurant is one the greatest gems for Korean food, from their sides to their mains everything was amazing. They provide immaculate service and their pricing is fairly decent. Ordered their dumpling rice cake soup which i could drink every day and their bulgogi soup which is to die for. As well as their spicy pork that they slathered in Gochujang which i love (that mixed with rice 🤝🕺🏻✨). Their sides make the experience that much better as it is a staple in the perfect Korean cuisine in my opinion. Overall it was great and will be coming back many more times!

A great little spot for Korean food. The pork bone soup was a very decent portion and the soup was delicious. The restaurant inside was big and clean and most importantly, without a long wait. The staff are super friendly even when they look swamped. Definitely will return!

Good food good service! The appetizers are so good. Big portion of pork bone soup, personally I like soft potato more. Soft tofu soup is okay, will be better if it has clams. Just one thing is needed for improvement, few flies are flying around our table. I understand that kimchi and some small dishes are fermented food which attracts flies, but as a restaurant, it’s an issue.

Instagram @chopstixinthesix Follow Us!! We got Bulgogi Jeongol and Spicy Cheese Pork Back Ribs. The Bulgogi Jeongol came loaded with toppings, it had Dumplings, Beef Slices, Glass Noodles, and a variety of Mushrooms. The broth was on the sweet side, but it was so perfect to go with rice! The Spicy Cheese Pork Back Ribs was our first try but won’t be our last! The ribs were seasoned perfectly, slightly spicy, and be sure to indulge that deliciousness in CHEESE. Super evil, but it’s just SO GOOD!!

The food is AMAZINGGG!!! Side dishes 10/10, kimchi 11/10, soondubu 12/10. I honestly like their soondubu more than bukchangs, it’s so tasty and just spicy enough with lots of seafood flavour. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly, sweet, spicy and savoury. All the great reviews about this place were right ❤️❤️. The staff were wonderful and super tentative, will definitely be coming back!

When the Korean food craving hits, Bueokae is a great option! The space isn't huge so there may be a short wait during peak times, but not too long and well worth it. What we got: - Bibimbap - Bulgogi Hot Pot - Mandu - Soon Tofu Jjigae - Takoyaki - Jjajangmyun - Naengmyun - LA Galbi My Favs: The LA Galbi was very tender and any of the classic dishes such as soondubu jjigae or bibimbap are sure to hit the spot! Final Thoughts: This far north in Richmond Hill there aren't as many Korean restaurants to pick from without having to drive closer to Thornhill or Markham. Having a solid option at closer proximity is great and all the food has been consistently great! I'll continue to visit when I get a craving!

Bueokae is located in a cozy corner of a tiny plaza in Richmond Hill. The staff there was attentive, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about ensuring our satisfaction. The Sujebi Gamja Tang was a true highlight. It offered a comforting and hearty taste. The hand-pulled dough noodles were soft and chewy, adding a wonderful texture to the dish. The Hotpot Bulgogi was equally impressive. If you're in Richmond Hill and craving authentic Korean food, Bueokae is definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious and came out promptly. The servers were attentive and friendly too. We brought in a car seat and was able to place our baby on the bench seat. Definitely recommend for Korean food! Was $135 after tax and tip for five items.

Mid March, 2022. The recipe are fusion of Korean and Chinese cuisine with deliberate portion of cheese in some dishes. Tasty anyhow and nice looking as well. Young lady staff are attentive and helping. Clients are decent and quite many Mandarin speaking youngsters. They might be residents nearby. Genuine and original Korean cooking offerings might have to be sought in North York Korean Town between Sheppard and Steeles along Yonge.

As a Korean, this is the one of my favourite Korean restaurants. I ordered the pork soup(Gamja Tang) and my husband did Soon Tofu Jjigae with appetizer Donkatsu. Foods came so quickly with some small side dishes and they are so so good. Price is reasonable and their portion is also good. If you are a non-Korean, I highly recommend here to try Korean food. Also the servers are very kind.

Ordered 2 pork bone soup and 1 tofu soup. Didn't taste like there was msg as we weren't thirsty afterwards. Also, the pork bone meat was very tender and falls right off the bone. Side dishes were plentiful and they offered refills. Prices were reasonable with no signs of shrinkflation. Excellent and very prompt customer service, would go back

I only had their take-out orders, which more or leas affected the taste and texture; nonetheless, it remains one of my to-go Korean restaurants. The only problem with this place is that sometimes they get too busy and become inpatient quite often.

Great attentive service compared to many other popular Korean restaurants in North York/Richmond Hill/Markham. Walked in and knew it would be amazing: very authentic homey vibe and the food was reasonably priced and delicious!! The waitress saw we finished our banchans and asked if we wanted refills, a rarity in my experience with Korean restaurants, so I was very impressed! The washrooms even had mouthwash, toothpicks, qtips and feminine hygiene products!

Great spot for tasty and authentic Korean food in Richmond Hill! Comparable to what you’d get at the Korean restaurants closer to Yonge/Finch! I had the pork bone soup and the portions were really good. Service was also attentive and super friendly.

(We are ok with spicy) but really everything so good. I will leave some pictures but I would return to try other things I saw in other tables

A quaint little Korean restaurant tucked in the corner plaza of a busy intersection was our destination on this day. The servers were very nice and greeted us before we even opened the door. Although the place was small, it didn't feel claustrophobic or tight when we were seated. We ordered the soft tofu stew (which comes with rice) and the black bean noodles. The stew tasted a bit watery compared to others that I've had before, but it was still tasty nonetheless. The black bean noodles were a decent portion, but my only complaint was that the ratio of noodles to sauce were a bit off. The sauce was also too salty in my opinion and it was hard to enjoy the chewiness of the noodles which I'm sure were delicious. The employee that we told this too was very nice though and even offered to give us a bowl of rice to mix up with the sauce so it wouldn't be too salty, but we were too full for another bowl. At the end, however, she did discount our meal by a small percent which I am forever grateful for her kind attitude and sincerity.

Didn't expect much before visiting but the chef here know what he does. All of us 4 ppl were satisfied what we ordered and service was good as well. Strongly recommend the chicken stew (Samgye-tang) and the King Galbi-tang.

My new favourite authentic Korean spot. Homey, delicious food and great service. Price is very reasonable with sensible portions, seasoning is well balanced - not too spicy, not too spicy nor too sweet - just right! We go here a few times a week because it’s been so pleasant and easy to throw into our weekly dinner rotation.

I've been here a few times with my buddy. We usually go for some good Korean spots for lunch/dinner. Definitely coming back here. The food is delicious and super fresh. Had the same waitress so far and is very kind. Relatively small spot and busy for lunch, so get here early!

Enjoy the food! The tteokbokki was average.. such a big dish but not enough fish cakes/tteokbokki. Katsu were delicious! Love the pumpkin salad side dish. Overall 4 star

My favorite Korean restaurant for pork bone soup! Meat is tender, no excess oil and flavor is just perfect, and each time it's consistent.

Authentic Korean food! Best in Richmond Hill. I’ve been living uptown for decades and never knew this place existed. My family ordered takeout over the Thanksgiving weekend and every one of us enjoyed our meal. My gamjatang was packed with pork meat and potatoes! Worth the price because they don’t cheap out on ingredients. Note: do not order the bibimbap for take out, it needs to be served on hot stone bowl to be delicious.

Craving some mouthwatering Korean flavors? Well, you're in for a treat at Bueokae! Picture this: a steaming bowl of their authentic Korean Beef Bone Soup, simmered with love for hours to create a rich, nourishing broth that's packed with tender beef slices and slurp-worthy glass noodles. And let's not forget about their Fried Crispy Seaweed Rolls, golden and crispy on the outside, with a savory filling that will have you hooked from the first bite. It's a culinary adventure you don't want to miss! So gather your foodie friends and head over to Bueokae for a delightful experience of bold flavors and irresistible aromas. Trust me, you'll be tagging them in no time! ** Please note that their location is not very spacious, so during busy times, you might need to queue. 설렁탕 Seolleong Tang (Beef-bone soup with sliced beef and wheat noodle served with steamed rice) $15.99 김말이튀김 Gimmari Twigim (Deep fried glass noodle wrap with seaweed) (5pc) $9.99

Great Korean grub with generous sides and served by a friendly and diligent staff. The Gamja Tang is nice and spicy, with lots of pork bones to munch on. The washrooms are clean and have a cute stand with mouthwash, q tips, and anything else A+ for hospitality!

What a great find! The food is fantastic and the staff are very attractive and helpful. Large portions of very tasty food will leave you satisfied and content. And I'm thrilled that it's close to my house. Definitely coming back. I have no photos... We were to busy eating it all!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Pork bone soup and banchan is absolutely top tier. My favourite one is the mashed squash. Food and corn tea comes out piping hot. Portion sizes are generous. The restaurant itself is small (<15 tables) and quaint. Service is fast, friendly and efficient - the head waitress is a pro. Today we came around 5:30PM (Sunday), and the restaurant was full by 6PM. I would recommend booking ahead during peak dinner hours to avoid a wait.

The food is soooooo delicious . Best Korean restaurant I've been to. Besides the delicious food, the service is very friendly and attentive to customers. I came for the first time and I want to come many more times. I live a bit far but because the restaurant is very good, I will come back. One more thing, when I was checking out, I forgot I didn't leave a lot of tip, because I made a mistake, so I hope the service guys don't be sad.🥺 I will visit many more times.💯💖
