Food was ok (it tastes different than the Hwy 7 location and we prefer Hwy 7). Service was nothing special - the place was not busy yet the service was slow. They also do not take allergies seriously. We mentioned a sesame allergy and were told there is no sesame, but when he asked if sesame oil is used (like in the other location) we were told that they might. At the end.... we got sesame as decoration on our food (which we had to send back).

This Ten Ren's location is not just for the bubble tea. They have great food so make sure you grab some food with your drink. The bento sets and noodles are both stand out items. I particularly enjoy the Taiwanese Basil Chicken which is flavourful fall apart chicken with thai basil, whole cooked down and soft garlic cloves, and some veggies to pair. It's hearty and comforting. The bento sets come paired with rice, 2 kinds of veggies, and an egg. You will be full with an order. This restaurant is vegetarian friendly with veggie chicken, veggie fish, and veggie meat options. It's too bad they are only to be ordered as side orders and not in a bento set or combo. This means you need to order the rice and any sauce separately. I recommend pairing with their curry sauce. Kids menu is plentiful for a child and there are a few options to choose from. Drinks are always high quality here. I like the hot ginger milk black tea. Staff is friendly and accommodate on menu changes. Always enjoy my time here.

Went here with a girl I like and my card declined and a trainee said something along the lines of “oh sorry the machines old” “did the machine not work” and instead I payed with cash. Really kind instead of going “oh sorry your card was declined.” Also I got the taro bubble tea and it was really good. But great service

The food quality is below average. Very small amount of minced pork and tastes so dry. Luckily this was the only food I ordered. Won’t go back again.

I like to bring my kids here for their kids meal. Their noodles in thick soup is also very yummy. However, I probably got confused between slight sugar and less sugar. Not sure which one is the less sweet one? I probably chose the wrong one cause it was super sweet lol. Be sure to ask just to make sure next time.

Food is decent but service is… undesirable. Asked for water when we ordered, but it was never brought to us - when we reminded the server he seemed ?unhappy about it, certainly not apologetic… Also asked for soy sauce but had to wait + remind as well - was also given some attitude. Finally, asked for the bill with another waitress but waited another 10min… when asked again she seemed to not have understood that I had asked for the bill the first time. Oh well, maybe my bad for this one.

This location has lots of families and younger children, so it's good if you got kids. The food and drinks are better than other locations, and their menu is different and in my opinion better. I give them 8/10!

Everything related to Foods & Services was top notch to its price, but the WASHROOM will make all the food & drink you just enjoyed throwing out from stomach! Disgusting hygiene standard!!! Just boiled water & vinegar can clean out all those smells, but the store never does something about it. Very disappointed in the management level. The smell is worse than the Summer Public Park Washroom!! Strongly suggest not to use their washroom if you want to leave with wonderful food & beverage experience!!

We always ordered these three items: the Beef noodles soup, King ribs and Taiwanese Chicken. We like this location as their foods are better compared to others. We had been coming and eating there for so many years. Prices went up and getting more expensive but once in a while I guess it is fine

We normally eat at the Langham Sq location. That location is great. This location is not great. Here are reasons: 1. The food has no seasoning. If you like bland food, this is the place to go. If you like seasoned food, I suggest you drive a bit further and try a different Ten Ren. We had the two meals we almost always have. The Pu Erh Braised Beef Brisket with green noodles, as well as the Taiwanese Sausage rice thing. Neither one had any kind of salt whatsoever. It was almost a shock to us because it's something we've ordered a dozen times and know exactly how it should taste. At this location, unless you've had covid and lost your sense of smell/taste, do not eat here or bring some salt. 2. This is a very busy location because of the highschool nearby. There are tons of teens and they're hanging around the entrance of the restaurant. Teens aren't very self aware so they'll just stand anywhere they think is convenient, take selfies and doomscroll on their phones while blocking the only path to get in or out of the restaurant. All Ten Rens' Tea shops have the best tea because Ten Ren's tea is still amongst the best of the best. Feel free to order tea here. Just avoid food if possible. Drive to a different Ten Ren.

Below average service, the waitress saw us dining in with a baby, yet still let us sit at the table where you could not place a highchair without blocking the way, of course they never asked us if we needed a highchair. The service was slow, we waved and waved before we could get someone over. They didn’t know how to smile, or how to use polite words, maybe all staff was having a rough day. After eating there, my older daughter came home with rashes covering her entire body. She was super itchy and scratching non-stop. She was definitely allergic to something she ate there. We had no clue because she had never been allergic to anything she ate from any restaurants… Anyway, we do not recommend this place

What an absolutely horrible place. I would give this place negative 5 stars if I could. This place has poor food, poor service, outrageously high prices and will lie about the price of the dishes, up charging you after you’ve already eaten. Do not give this place any money under any circumstances, it’s not worth a single penny. The food is average or below average quality. Yet the prices are very high, outrageous for the quality and quantity of what you’re getting. And the service is very poor, even if you try to get a server’s attention, you’ll be stuck waiting. And lastly, I got printed a receipt before later having the receipt taken from me right before I’m about to pay, then I get handed a new price that’s completely off the menu after being told the previous price was a “mistake.” Like, what? Then update your menu! I’m getting up charged and forced to pay prices that I’ve never seen before until I had to ask for the bill from a server that acted like they didn’t want to serve me. Never ever come here unless you’re looking for a horrible time.

Pretty good tea spot for long time chat. Love the toast! But the cake is just okay.

  • 3/5 Bruce 7 months ago on Google
Frequently visit the place during lunch, food is decent. Prices are unreasonable and much more than they should be. Food usually comes reasonably quickly. Main issue with this restaurant is the forced tipping. For some strange reason, servers will force a 13-15% tip if you dine in (with or without large group). Servers become evidently angry when not provided such a tip and sometimes go as far as redoing the purchase to add the tip themselves.

Although I am not a fan of Ten Ren's drinks, the food is pretty good! Our favourite is the Beef Noodle Soup. They serve it with green tea noodles and it just makes the dish more unique and flavourful. Highly recommend.

We recently had dinner here. We ordered the classic Pu-Erh beef with green tea noodle soup and a hot pot with rice noodles. Both dishes were delicious though the beef in the Pu-Erh noodle soup could be more tender. The bubble tea drinks were pretty good as well.

Highly recommended 👌 Varied menu incredible Ramen soups and a lot of special tea and light drink.

Never been impressed with the quality of their drinks. I figured I'd try the place out again - their food was decent, but their milk tea tastes watered down and bland, even though I requested it to be sweeter,

We got there on Saturday night and asked if they were still serving food. The hostess told us yes so we sat down. We filled the order form and handed it to her. 1 min later she comes back and says they don’t serve food after 11pm but are open til midnight. It was 11:02 and it was her that told us we could still order. You made the mistake. You should have made it right. How long does it take to make a bento box? Another 5 min? Don’t go to Ten Ren.

I always buy bubble tea in the summer and I've tried numerous spots. Ten Ren's is one of my favorite spots. Mango passion fruit tea is my fave and my husband loves their slush options with tapioca.

Taiwanese fried chicken is amazing! Large portions, clean environment, good service, delicious food! A bit pricey, especially for the boba.

Been going to Ten Ren’s for bubble tea for many years now. The atmosphere is nice and service is good, never too busy there so you can talk to your friend and hear them easily. I personally find they have the best and most variety of bubble tea flavours, especially slush flavours which are my favourite. They have mixed flavours too and whatever this was called that I posted in the picture. It tasted amazing like everything else they have. And let’s not forget their tapioca, which is the perfect consistency of chewiness and flavour. 5/5 bubble tea

I got a coconut milk tea with tapioca and the drink tasted too watery, just a hint of coconut milk taste. very meh and expensive for no reason? Hopefully I can find better places near me for boba tea.

The prices were high but the cheesecake I ordered was not good at all. The classic hot tea was alright but sweetened tea tasted awful as well. The staff were unfriendly - motioned me to a table without greeting me, didn’t thank me.

love this Ten Ren location. easy to find patking. I like the lunch set and the way they make the drinks. I always like the Macha green tea red beans slushy and hot Tangerine tea. good price and very comfortable restaurant

Not bad to be there for bubble tea or just tea. This time we had dinner at this place and ordered noodles. Both tasted good but quite thirsty after eating, probably there was lots of msg inside that’s why it tasted fine. No doubt price went up just like every other restaurants. I think it’s fine if you are out of options for food and this is not a bad place to come if you live around here.. at least I think food tastes better than Green Grotto which is a block northeast of here.

Great place for conversation and to relax. Service is timely, some of the staff are very friendly. Food quality is satisfactory depending on your selection, but menu has good variety and the portions are good. The bubble tea is decent as well but also depends on the selection.

TenRen's new galaxy series drinks are so pretty and all of the colours are naturally derived from the butterfly pea - magical, colour changing and super instagramable! Starry Fantasy is a citrus-y honey lemon drink and Aurora Dream is a green tea based drink. Both also have a jelly topping as well and were so refreshing. Personally, I enjoyed the Starry Fantasy one more.

My kids go here for the drinks, they used to be busy but all these other bbt shop keeps popping up so there's a lot of competition now a day. Food taste are for teens you can clearly see no real gourmet kitchen and older teens and young or early 20 something in the kitchen making food... it mostly cater to the teens taste bud. It is on the pricy side but their teas are still very good and sometimes they will let you tried some tea for promotions or a combo when you dine in... I haven't had any bad tasting tea yet. But the food you can skip

Authentic and tasty Taiwanese food and drinks. Friendly service. I think they need to hire more service staff during busy hours.

So for the first time I decided to Try out one of the bubble teas with the little black balls in them called Tapioca. I had ordered strawberry Pineapple and honestly I will Never step a foot in another Asian tea place let alone Ten Ren's especially this Location on Major Mackenzie. First of all they tried to kick me out as I had ordered a "to go" container than when the bubble tea came it was literally disgusting. I'm a food connoisseur and honestly. The Taste was completely off. Mind I know how pineapple and strawberry tastes. it was completely off like something nasty was added I took a picture and I believe there room to sue them and just deciding that. The whole experience as a whole was terrrrrible. Ruined my appetite. It was completely off taste and super foul to the look and taste so I would be very carefully there so don't get sick. Not recommending it to No one ever!!!! When asking for refund I was replied with mean gestures and ridiculous explanations.

i ordered here and the workers are incredibly passive aggressive and the service is really slow. i noticed recently they got a new worker and this worker does not know how to do her job. i ordered a daily special meal which was originally 16.50 dollars but with a student id card, its 14.50. i also had a vip card which was around 10-15% off. i told the worker many times i had these two cards and i trusted that she knew what to do. she nodded yes and got me the machine. she still forced me to pay over 17 dollars which is not right because my friend who ate with me payed the same but she had none of the two cards. i asked her about it and she said “no its correct” and forced me to pay anyways so in the end i did. they have also kicked many people out for doing absolutely nothing. i used to like this place as a kid but the new employees made it worse.
