Oak Ridges Trail

Hiking area

πŸ‘ A very nice hike around Bond Lake. You can also choose to loop around the lake which is great. There's not a lot of trees for shade but since we went on a cloudy day it was a great way to get some breeze. A majority of the trail was crushed pebbles so it wasn't too muddy or wet even after it rained... People often mention trail, lake, parking, hike,

A very nice hike around Bond Lake. You can also choose to loop around the lake which is great. There's not a lot of trees for shade but since we went on a cloudy day it was a great way to get some breeze. A majority of the trail was crushed pebbles so it wasn't too muddy or wet even after it rained the night before. We saw dogs and kids of all ages and is an excellent hike for the entire family. Parking is very limited and may be a challenging if the Yonge Street lot is full. On the day we were there, park officers were stationed at the lot to enforce parking since the lot is shared with a privately owned property that was taped off. Will definitely be back to walk the trail on the west side of Yonge next time.

Great spot for a few hours of hiking not suitable for wheelchair. Amazing views and beautiful lake.

Not a whole lot to see and not much wildlife spotted at all when I visited. Look for the designated parking spots on the map from the picture I posted. You may get ticketed if you find your own non-designated parking. Quite an easy walk. Air is really nice when you go further in the trails and further away from the main roads.

This trail has all the charm in every season. We visit the trail almost every weekend to enjoy the changing beauty. We are so happy to have this trail closing to home.

Beautiful forest trail around Bond Lake, it can be not easy for seniors and small kids. Looks like a fun trail for mountain biking as well. There are not public washrooms, parking is limited

An amazing trail, well kept, well marked, 2 to 3 hours to complete the loop about 12km. If you can get around Bond lake for amazing views. Weekdays are best, limited parking, so if you can walk there, do it, my round trip was 20km from home and back, approximately 4.5 hours. Enjoy this wonderful place.

I love this place for walking and running. Dont recommend biking near the water but it had pretty good trails, and the view was really nice.

Great not hard trail! Beautiful nice little spots. Came here in the winter too and walked all the way around on the lake.

Beautiful hike around the lake. Going clockwise is easier to start but gradually gets more hilly and tree roots a plenty. The trail is very clean and rarely bumped into anyone. You can still hear the road noises unfortunately, even from the complete opposite end of the lake. Parking is limited.

Went for a hike with my little girl and my dog. It was great long enough to get a good hike in and enough interesting things to see beside the outdoors. There some ruins from and old house and a small barn, Great for pictures.

One of the beautiful hiking trails located in GTA. The hiking trail level is easy as it is around the lake and simple to navigate. The best thing about this place is very few people know this amazing trail and it is like a hidden gem located in Richmond Hill, so it doesn't get crowded. The trail is surrounded by a beautiful lake where you can enjoy your time with friends and family by camping, kayaking, and bbq. This place is easy to reach by car. Furthermore, after a good hike, there are various restaurants and takeout options available within 2 mins of your reach. Lastly, the only drawback of this place is the parking space is too limited for a certain number of cars.

A beautiful trail at the end of the escarpment. Lovely views. Do not swim, many whirlpools in the water. Many enjoy fishing here

Great path to walk on but I don't know why they don't expand the parking lot. The parking lot is insane and lots of people are just parking in random places on the side of the road or away from the entrance. Please, just expand the parking lot, or let people park on the grass, no big deal.

Beautiful quiet lake to spend an afternoon. The hike is fun but quite challenging cuz lots of fallen trees lately that blocked the trail in multiple places. City should really clean them up.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ I can’t describe what an amazing place this is. Early in the mornings it is heaven in the middle of the city! I was reading somewhere that this lake used to be a major tourist attraction in the early 1900 but is now just home to a lot of local neighborhoods and and natural flora and fauna. The bond...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ One of the best hikes in GTA! So beautiful, with actually large trees, natural forest trails - plenty of hiking and mountain biking trails, so cool. Glad we found this place. Plenty of parking in all different locations of this interconnected trails system. Also very safe as there's people, but at t...
