The Pho here was amazing. Very authentic tasting. We ordered beef brisket and beef balls. The serving of meat was more than we would get downtown and the cost was also a lot cheaper than downtowns 18$+ for pho these days. The bean sprouts were also very fresh and crunchy. We also ordered rice with 2 meats. That was a small portion, would not feed an adult. Would not order that again.

First time here today with the wife, had the Pho Tai, Hu Tieu and A12 Chicken wings.. Being Vietnamese myself I can attest the menu and dishes we ordered so far is authentic to the taste buds 👌 Pho = soup clear and savory, not powered mix, noodles soft and vegetables fresh 👍 soup could be served a bit hotter 🔥 Hu Tieu = soup was pretty good, ingredients are fresh, wife enjoyed it but missing the signature shrimp cracker/pancake A12 Wings batter was crispy, well seasoned and could use a bit more sauce in the mix but overall we enjoyed our lunch there and had a pleasant experience to come back for round 2 dinner courses next time. Place was clean and covid protocols in effect. The menu and ordering system is quite intuitive, anything extra you need you can just ask the friendly waitresses to get

Went here with my 15yr old between his basketball games this past Sat. for the first time. We were waiting for the menu to be brought to us as we weren't aware and our watiress failed to take a few seconds to explain that we had to Scan the QR at the table there to place our orders (maybe waitress assumed we were aware and this wasn't our first time...???). My son and I were literally the 1st 2pple to sit down when they opened at 11am...so I'm not sure what happened there. Anyhow, when we finally scanned the QR, my son ordered his dish no problem but the dish I wanted wasn't in the displayed option and had to be taken the old fashion way by the waitress (paper&pen) . I had the Chicken Pad Thai and son had lemon grass pork/rice dish. Food was delicious, service could've been a bit better. Don't assume that your customers knows your ordering process (especially if it is their first time there) , it just takes a few seconds to explain 😉.

Ordered their house special pho. The broth was delicious, the thirsty after the meal indicated their excessive MSG usage. The brisket, the tendon, tripe and the beef balls were fine, the rare beef was not. Basil was missing in the herb plate, that is a minus. The service was average. The place was clean. The food, the service and the environment, did not justify their higher price.

I got food poisoning from this restaurant! I had a bowl of beef pho. The meat was fully cooked so I am sure I wasn't sick due to raw meat. The meat were not fresh and it's definitely not a place to visit... Especially during COVID.

Came here during weekdays lunch and dinner within a week. They are very busy during my visits. Parking lot is small but I manage to find a parking spot without any problems. They have a self serve system to line up when the restaurant is full. You register with your phone number and when a table is ready for you, they will text you. Food quality is above average in my opinion. I ordered their raw beef salad (first time trying a raw beef salad) and it was great. Price is fair and portion is above average. Services is great but they are too busy to give you 100% attention. It worth a try!

We went here for dinner and for the price that I'm paying I expect the food to be of great quality. We ordered spring rolls, build your own Pho, BBH and Bo Kho. Spring rolls were great. Soup bases for all soups tasted like there was quite a bit of MSG in it. I'm super thirsty as I'm writing this. My husband rates their BBH 6/10. I rate all the noodles that we ordered 6/10 also. Before we got our food, I told one of the servers that I didn't want bean sprouts in any of our noodles. He said there are no bean sprouts in any of their phos. I assume this is where the disconnect happened. When I ate my Bo Kho, I found bean sprouts inside. He made no effort to check. I spoke to another server and the manager gave us a 10% discount on the bill. This may help a bit but still discontent with my meal and service. In the build your own Pho, I got rare beef, beef balls and brisket. I got a bit of something I'm not sure exactly what to call it. But I'm assuming it's supposed to be the brisket part. Photos attached. I'm a bit picky with my pho places and don't like to leave bad reviews. But I will not be returning to this restaurant. I didn't feel they were very authentic as most of our noodles were subpar at best. If you're in the area of this restaurant and want to eat pho, go to Pho Time.

It's good. Nothing particularly bad on the dishes we ordered, but nothing particularly stands out either. Prices are on the high side but if you are craving for Vietnamese food when around the area, there's no better choice. Oh you can skip the red bean with jelly drink, whilst it taste ok, there no much "drink" in there, mostly ice.

Great place for Vietnamese cuisine & Pho, fragrant tasty broth, nice firm Vietnamese rice noodles, also great fried chicken wings. Very busy at meal times. Join the waitlist on Yelp and time your arrival to avoid lengthy wait times. Each table has a QR code that you need to scan and order from the online menu. Efficient and friendly service.

Service was good, owner came check around and tried to do best. Servers kept removing our bowls and chopsticks but we had lots of appy that came after our noodles (?) yet to be finished... perhaps can provide us some side plates then? - Appy platter was good, the beef wrapped with herb was great - Grilled pork with shrimp crackers was good Quite a lot of msg in both - Pho is one size (small) but lots of toppings = pricy $18

Good Vietnamese-style restaurant with good-sized portions. Noodle bowls are served with lots of meat. Tables have lots of condiments/sauces available. This restaurant gets busy, being located across from First Markham Place, so expect to wait. They offer 5% cash discount.

I like this place because you can build your own pho with different soup, meat, noodle options. It is a little pricy I think but the soup is good and flavourful. You can join waitlist from Yelp so you don’t need to go in the restaurant which is great!

We visited this new location moved from the old place. The restaurant was super clean and roomy. The Owner was very friendly and welcoming as usual. We started off with the appetizer plater. It had great presentation and it tastes as good as it looks. Our group order different things and all was freshly prepared and it was hot. I recommend that you put your name in line on the Yelp app a head of time because it is very busy. A 5 star experience.

The taste is absolutely excellent as it's always been. But this wouldn't be a 3 star review if there was nothing wrong. For the prices they're charging I am expecting the quality to continue being good. My photos below, I got a (XL) which was the bowl with the red soup which was $5 EXTRA. My wife got a (L) and it was $2 extra. As you can see, my bowl is basically the same size as hers. I even double checked with the waitress if this was an XL. I've been here multiple multiple times and I used to love this place but they've gotten cheaper and cheaper. Their XL was way bigger and this XL is a shadow of its past. The previous time we came here, we ordered a rice dish which was a complete rip off, small portion and it was just mediocre. As much as I love the food here, it's no longer worth the $30 (after tax and tips) for one bowl of XL Bun soup base pho. I'm so disappointed with this place and will not be coming back.

Great restaurant! I had the pho soup regular size and it was so filling. I normally have it with vermicelli noodles so this time I tried it for the first time with fresh noodles and it was pretty good. The shrimp spring roll was refreshing! The restaurant was packed but the service was quick and efficient.

It was alright, doesn’t justice the higher price. I liked the broth, not mindblowing, but still a solid Pho place. Fresh Noodles were more rice noodles so wider, but maybe Vietnamese Rice Noodles is the solution for thinner. Meat was good. What lost this place stars was the lack of training for wait staff, as TWICE they put the food in front of the BABY without saying a warning first. Coming behind baby with large hot soup and a sharp knife is unacceptable. Utterly dangerous lawsuit waiting to happen. Other places are more children friendly and mindful, as they would bring high chair and separate bowl and utensils without having to ask. Don’t think we’d be back.

I ordered beef brisket noodle with tomato sauce. Took very long time to come to the table. The bowl looks amazing. It was simmering hot and smelled wonderful. The only complaint is too chewy for the brisket. Looks like the kitchen only cooked it for 20 minutes. The portion was good but consider that it costs $17.50. With tips and tax it's more than 20 bucks just for a Vietnamese noodle. Give and take. Because of the brisket, I only rated 3 stars.

My new favourite spot for Pho in the GTA. Excellent portion size for the price and incredibly flavourful. The ability to build your own bowl is something I haven't seen at other Vietnamese restaurants which makes the ordering process incredibly easy. Apps are on the pricier side but offer good portion sizes. One thing that I was impressed with was the complimentary tea which had a lovely flavour to it - almost like coconut? Quite different from the tea I've had at other establishments. I look forward to returning!

My second favourite Pho spot in the GTA. Ambiance: 3/5 - Nothing special, but nothing wrong with it either. The tables seem a little close together, but again, nothing wrong with it and similar to other Pho restaurants. Service: 3.5/5 - Mostly good service, but the place is very busy, so can’t blame them for not giving everyone special attention. Only had one server who wasn’t the friendliest, but again, don’t blame them because it’s a hectic environment. Food: 4/5 The Pho - I normally get the fresh noodles (but they run out a lot at the end of the day) and that is a 4.5/5. The fresh noodles are what make it stand out compared to other Pho spots. With the normal rice noodles. I’d say it’s a 4/5. Fresh Rolls with Beef - 4.5/5. I love the flavour of these and it’s so fresh and not overpowering. Overall, 4/5 - great spot!

Being visited this restaurant on Father's day, it was surprising as this restaurant has not that full overall. The restaurant do have its electronic queue system, so do Remember to take a number first. The food, I must honestly to say, just average, and not the best. We ordered three BYOB Pho noodles and the spring rolls. The total bill was 61.30 CAD (tax included), added 15% tips.... The pho broth have had strong of star anise and tasteless beef broth. The first thing that you will recognize that even you ordered all beef and chicken toppings, the meat were fairly tough and the tripe was nowhere to be found. The spring roll is broiled over and dried, it was pricy and expensive (i.e. CAD 9.25 for 3 piece of spring rolls cut into half). For a restaurant, I was disappointed and should not consider as the "best in Markham". The complexity and balance of flavors needed in the broth just wasn't there.

We tried The Pho Restaurant over the weekend and overall really enjoyed the food. The interior is very basic, cozy but clean. There's also a iPad in the front where you can join the waitlist, as this place is often quite busy. We ordered the Pho Dac Biet (house special pho) and the Bun (which comes with up to 3 choices of meats). Portions were quite generous and authentic, pho broth was very flavourful and quality of ingredients were excellent. The Bun was huge the lemongrass pork and beef were delicious. Pricing is on the higher end, but quality and value were worth it in our opinion. Overall we would return; definitely in our top 3 Vietnamese restaurants

  • 4/5 Chuong N. 9 months ago on Google
The pho was good, just not mind-blowing like some other Vietnamese places. The broth was good, the rice noodles were fresh and there was a good amount of meat. The My Thap Cam was enormous and does come with a soup with fish balls on the side. Fresh egg noodles with a nice amount of meat and shrimp. It's a little bit on the pricey side for what you get. Come early if you don't want to wait for too long, the place gets full really fast.

Not too busy when I got here, comfortable environment and lots of sauces to help yourself to. We ended up ordering extra large portions, and they were so massive that we could barely finish one portion. It’s very worth the price, as it’s delicious and the portions that they give you are just simply enormous. The sausage was good, and the banh was slightly sweet yet flavourful. The staff were quick to our requests, although the joint was nearly empty. I’ll definitely be coming here again to eat.

The broth is so good! Very fragrant and aromatic. The beef is tender with marbling fat, I have never had such good quality meet for pho! I also had the fried spring rolls (forgot to take a picture) and they were very good too! The owner really takes care of their customers and always create a good vibe!

Great local spot in Markham! A little pricier than your typical Vietnamese restaurant however the quality is so worth it. Got the PAD THAI & COM (rice) Plate with Lemongrass Chicken & Pork. Didn’t love the Pad Thai but the rice and meat were delicious. COCONUT SMOOTHIE & SPRING ROLLS are also always part of our order!

  • 5/5 Stephen T. 11 months ago on Google
First time here and I’m impressed by their food and service. Price is on expensive side compare to other pho but portion is big. Surprisingly pad Thai is very good here.

The broth at The Pho Restaurant is very flavourful and hits the spot on a chilly day. This is my first time back to the restaurant after they moved locations and it’s just as good as I remember it. The staff are attentive and helpful. The free tea was also really good, it tasted and smelled like tapioca. I waited about 60 minutes using the Yelp Wait List and was surprised by how many people were waiting on a Sunday night, right before close. Ordering at the restaurant is also done via scanning a QR code and ordering online. Overall, great restaurant with great food.

Visited here on a weekend to dine in during covid at lunch. This place is popular and there was a wait. Use the yelp waitlist app to reserve your spot in line. They will call you or the app will tell you that your table is ready. Your temperature will be checked upon arrival. Tables are clean and distanced and masks are worn.

Amazing Pho!!! Best I have ever tried in the city and throughout Toronto. This place is popular for a reason! Most of the time there is a line for dine in, especially now with Covid but not to worry because it moves pretty fast. Inside everything is spotless clean, tables are well spaced, everyone customers and staff included abide by covid guidelines as well. Staff is very nice and welcoming. The pho is a great portion with fresh ingredients and a good price. They have a lot of different variety on the menu to fit your palette!

Hands down the best! I cannot praise this place enough. I promote and recommend this place at all times possible (ig, word or mouth, etc.) You will not want pho from anywhere else after this place. High quality ingredients, great cuts of meat, appealing fusion (for those who want that - I love their traditional pho). Can't wait until you guys open back up after renos. Anyone I have introduced this place to entirely agrees this is the best pho Place.

This is our time here at the restaurant. The place seems to be very popular. So, the parking could be tricky. There was a line up for the customers waiting to get their tables too. Note that CASH or debit cards only! No credit cards accepted! The food is good as we expected. The wait time was not too bad on the food but for the table, it will be varied! I will come back and try different menu next time.

Really like the food here. My favourite is the BBH which is full of flavour and warming too, especially on cold days where you’re craving for something warm. They fried chicken is my favourite appetizer. It’s buttery so it feels quite unhealthy, but on your cheat day (if it’s not every day), you’ve gotta try it out! It’s so moist and juicy and delicious.

Clean place for Vietnamese noodles, a variety of soup base, in different size and two different types of noodles. Lots of people, if you are in a hurry, don’t bother. Soup is clear and not strong, very hot and great for winter. But I would say not very authentic. Mango in shrimp salad taste good but shrimp wasn’t the freshest.

  • 1/5 Michelle N. 3 years ago on Google
Saw that this place had many good reviews and decided to give it a try. I was very disappointed. Tried it in the evening and the pho broth that I got was extremely salty. I also ordered some fresh rolls and when I took a bite something didn't taste right. I opened up my roll and the greens were wilted and brown. I can forgive one bad item but my entire order was just upsetting.

  • 5/5 Michelle C. 4 years ago on Google
Love this place!!! One of my favourite restaurants so far! It's usually crowded so be prepared to wait for a decent dinner! Came here for a bun. Portion is giant and food is great! Love the spring rolls and fish sauce as well!

We ordered take out today and have to say they did a great job to keep up the quality (lots of beef for the pho) and taste. Extra bonus for using paper containers instead of plastic where possible. Will definitely order again👍

Where’s the 10/5 stars cause this place is great! Ordered the BUN plate which is vermicelli noodles with a various amount of beef (I got the sugar cane grilled pork, grilled beef, deep fried spring roll). It came with pickled radish, bean sprouts and shredded lettuce. If you’re a flavour chaser this is the place for you. The meat is flavourful, the fish sauce is fragrant and I welcome it with open arms because its so harmonious with everything that was on the dish. It was sweet, salty, acidic and just all around fantastic. I didn’t take the time to breathe in between my bites it was so good. My tummy is full and I’m looking at the menu for my next order as we speak!

⭐ PRE-COVID DINE-IN EXPERIENCE DETAILED BELOW ⭐ [Cánh Gà Chiên Nước Mắm] $10.95 Oh my goodness, these wings are the most flavorful ones I have EVER had at any restaurant! I cannot wait to order these for takeout and devour them in the comfort of my home. I always want to order wings out in public but the way I devour them should not be seen by people who I don't live with 😂 They're sauteed with garlic, peppers, and fish sauce ~ [Hủ Tiếu Gà] $14.75 for a large pho! It is very rare that I have found a good, chicken-based pho but this place definitely has one! This pho is served with shredded chicken in a chicken broth! It is also topped with coriander, green onions, and deep fried shallots 🤤🔥 You're just going to have to take my word for it and come try their food! I've heard that the [Bún Bò Huế] $15.75 is DELICIOUS too as it is their "Central Vietnam signature noodle soup"! 🎉 That's definitely an item I'm going to order with the chicken wings for takeout in the near future ~ SUPPORT LOCAL AND ORDER DELICIOUS PHO FROM HERE 🍜

Their take out menu is just as expensive as if I would order on Uber eats. I do not recommend this restaurant, they have a full staff but can't make a single take out order in less then 30 mins. 3 pho noodle soups. Still waiting... everyone that walked in and sat down after I was waiting outside to order already eating and leaving. Such poor service! I certainly will never order take out from them AGAIN.
