    0 stars for the management at this store. I witnessed how they treated another customer from the start till the end and if they were treating me that way, I would have said something and never would take the abusive behavior. The managers clearly have no clue that they are in the service industry and act as if they own the place and are doing the shoppers a favor. 0 stars to the management and I hope the corporate office will look into the horrible behavior and rectify this. Recession is coming and unless you do a good enough job, you’ll be the one forced to close your doors.

    Worst customer service and managment you could ever ask for! They refused to accept my return because the price label was off the product. Seemingly they couldn't just scan it and needed to find the items on my receipt which was too "time consuming" for them so they asked me to go back to the store I bought it from! The assistant manager (blonde lady with glasses) is way too rude for being in customer service industry! They're great in wasting people's time.

    My wife went to store to return a broken sold merchandise. Store staff mentioned that they don’t sell damaged merchandise. Basically tell the us as a custoemr we’re lying. The value of this merchandise was $13 but the value of me sharing this experience is much more. Learn how to treat customers and know that customers don’t always lie. We simply open the merchandise at home and removed the box and inside the container was broken. I hope this $13 argument was to your satisfaction. Date of visit: Jan 28th 2022

    My experience here is always great. Always impressed with the displays and the surprises you find throughout the entire store. Then, add the extremely friendly staff. Every one greeted me on the floor as I was looking around to find something that interests me. Well, I found 2 hot sauces I am going to enjoy tonight with the chicken wings I already have at home waiting for me to cook. They also had several catnip toys. The one I selected was awesome as it was made from recycled water bottles. I am all about sustainable products and try to reuse and repurpose anything I can. I was able to take a few nice pictures of the displays in the store. Standing ovation to the merchandising team and management. Well done!

    Enjoyed browsing around at this Marshalls & HomeSense during this Holiday season especially as there are such huge varieties of festive theme goods on offer, from Christmas decor to home essentials for the holiday seasons. As soon as one walk inside the store, you will be overwhelmed by the cheerful vibe of Christmas that propel anyone to do some extra shopping in prepare for the upcoming celebrations.

    My daughter and I were having a fun shopping time this evening October 17/ 2023... it went from 8:00 to 9:00pm Unfortunately the cashier that looked after our almost $300.00 purchase had very poor customer service skillòs... NOT only she packed items the wrong way... but also in a very rude manner asked us to put the shopping cart away. It is the first time a store employee instructed us to do tasks before leaving.

    Shoppers be aware of a violent pickpocketter in the store. The incident happened on April 13 around 5 pm, a man tried to steal my daughter’s phone, right when she was trying shoes on. My daughter was trying to get her phone back from the man and she was screaming for help from the store workers. However, nobody tried to help her, even when the man was coming up to her face and trying to attack her. She had to defend herself on her own. Just, much later on, when the man was trying to escape , my daughter asked the worker to call a security guard. No apology or follow up from the manager or the store workers. It’s crazy that a young girl was attacked in the store with so many witnesses and nobody tried to help her. Next time it can a be a child or an older person and the outcome can be much worse. So, do you shopping at your own risk

    Overall it’s a great place for shopping with variety of brands and you can find almost everything here the only issue I had was the lady at the fitting room ( Karen) who was taking her job so serious and acting like a security or a police officer. It’s just a fitting room it’s not cool to act customers so rude!! Other than that everyone is nice and friendly.

    Just okay. Started with wonderful signage so I was able to find the department quickly. Selection however was very small and in no way unique. I'm talking baby clothes which are always adorable aren't they? Nope. Quite plain at Marshalls. Then...where the heck is check out? No signs for that at all, nor was there an employee around to ask. So...started great; plain selection; poor exit; therefore just an okay experience. Certainly didn't leave me feeling excited to ever go back.

    After reading so many reviews with management issues and how they set their own policies for this particular store, I now understand my own experience today. I was declined a discount for an item that is clearly stained by the cashier who did asked the manager on the floor about. (I've had similar issues at other location and they issued a 10% without question). However, my biggest issue isn't the discount, it was the attitude of the cashier that was cashing me out. Just rude and unbothered. When I commented other stores have done the discounts, her snarky come back was "well they have never done it here and I worked here for 2 years" then the way she asked if I still wanted to buy the item was just disgusting. Made the whole experience very uncomfortable. Positive customer service starts at the top, clearly managment is an issue at this location which leads to rude, incompetent employees. 2 stars for the great, consistent selections for the store..

    Buyers beware if you plan to get anything here and may need to do a return - Like other reviewers have noted, the store manager has her own return policy vs. the store return policy on the receipt, for brand new unworn cloths with tags on. Store policy says over 30 days, they will be given as store credit but the manager was very rude and reluctant. When asked why, she simply said “it is up to each store and I may choose to decline next time”. Great selection of the products. Very unpleasant experience with the staff.

    Drinkettes are the best I don't do well with puffy furniture or when I need the occasional dress shirt that's not what I'm here to talk to you about. It's about drinkettes. Ever since the monster ultra peachy keen came out they got one row in the only fridge by the clerk but they sell for under 4 dollars. So I would walk in and buy one just for that. And thanks Marshall's for keeping it real drinkettes especially Monster bring people around a table or get you thinking how good you look in the mirror or beside home decor so yea you have it all and if I had a family drinkettes I get from you guys bring me right side by side with each other. Thank you for making it closer to home now more than ever.

    It is a shame that many times in this branch, my husband sold second-hand things, such as bags, shoes, etc. So, when we complain to the store manager, she blames everything on the store policy and the customers. It is strange to me that used shoes with barcodes and security tags are often the size of the manager's feet.

    Thank you to the team at HomeSense who mobilized to quickly find my 6 yr old son who’d wandered off from me in the store. Everyone stepped in to help and I won’t ever forget the kindness and support of Natasha ( store manager ) and the entire team. After 20 minutes of experiencing agony and worry, he was found by staff and we were reunited. I sincerely thank the team at Home Sense .. although this doesn’t seem enough for how much gratitude I’m feeling. You’re my hero’s. Bless you.

    Came to return a few chairs that i had purchased at a reduced price due to there being slight staining. Assistant manager informed me that the chairs look “used” and they couldn’t find the tags so they took longer to do the refund since she thought i didn’t buy the chairs from them. Was a little dissapointed from this experience.

    Like many other Marshalls & Homesense stores, this one was nice and spacious, but a little bit messy. The line up and wait time to cash out can get very long since only 2-3 registers were open. I would recommend having more cashiers open for the future if there's a long line up of customers just waiting to pay or do refunds.

    I wanted a lunch tote and I found one that was affordable and suitable to my needs and then I found some stains on the base, so I asked an associate to help me find another one and she said that they didn’t have another & the manager would knock sth off the price due to it being the only one left. As soon as I approached the manager, she started giving me attitude. She had her head down all the time we spoke and said we don’t have a discount for stained items. I’m not sure I’ll choose Hillcrest HS as my 1st choice next time I plan to buy sth.

    Always great popping into see what they have. Thankfully this location is quite efficient at cash. Despite the long lines I often see here, you can make a purchase within a reasonable amount of time.

    Very good location. One little thing is, the store is quite tight. The shelves are too close together and the isles aren't big enough. Considering it's a really busy location, I would expect there to be more space for customers to walk

    At great place to find discounted pricing on brand name clothing and shoes and household items. The Marshall's side of the store which is the clothing was quite good for inventory. But Homesense which is the household items side was quite bare compared to pre-covid19 days. But still a good buy if you find anything that works for you. You can access the store from outside the front or inside the mall now. The checkout line was quite long given physical distancing but it moved fast.

    Everybody knows all homesense stores accept for returning back to any reason either quality of product or even you don`tlike it but this specific store, wiil not accept your return back if you use it. For example I bought a Rug fromthem, but I noticed that the quality is not good. I wanted return it back but they didn`t accept it and they said it has already used. Then I went to another store and they accepted for return without any discusion.

    New location is great. Spacious, bright. Lots of great staff.But there is always a huge line to cashier, everytime I come there it is a madness. Today I have to leave the store, because it is impossible to stay in line for 30 min with busy toddler.

    A lot of stores in big malls where there is a lot of customer traffic are disorganized or cluttered. Not this one, I have always seen staff rearranging items back to its dedicated isles. Should you have any questions, they are very polite and patient to answer it. You do get a lot of variety of products at reasonable prices here.

    Items are great and we enjoy visiting often however service is spotty. Some sales representatives are wonderful, while others are simply miserable. Today the manager yelled at us while we were attempting to locate the exit. She was exceptionally rude (blonde lady). She needs a refresher in her customer service skills and perhaps a holiday/new profession. Yelling at patrons, particularly seniors is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable.

    I've had now 2 horrible checkout experiences at this store and the location at Vaughan Mills. I bought a few items at Vaughan mills. Gave them my TJX loyalty card to scan. The cashier who checked me out at Vaughan mills was struggling, I asked if he was new, he said no. He didn't wrap my vases nicely so I asked him for paper and did it. And then he didn't ask to scan my TJX card so I asked him to do it and he did. Then I went to return 2 of the vases at the Hillcrest location and I was 12 days after purchase date. Which is never an issue because as a TJX member I have 30days to return. But apparently he didn't scan my card properly and there's only 10 days to return for refund. So they wouldn't refund me. I said, I'm a member go ahead and look me up, The manager Mary Jane came over and said no he needed to scan it in, go back to that location and make them return it for you. I did not want to run to another location to fight with them so I just took the credit. Another customer heard what was happening and stopped me on the way out and said, "That manager is horrible, she can easily do the refund for you without the card having been scanned but she's refusing because she doesn't feel like giving the refund as it will affect her numbers. I've had major issues at this location too and every time I get Mary Jane called over she's not accommodating at all and horrible customer service." I said thanks for letting me know as I had never been to that location before only Vaughan mills. Anyways, one bad checkout/cashier experience I can handle, 2, not great, but 3 times? That shows a pattern. Moral of the story- return what you want to return within 1 week or don't shop there.

    Why don't you put more cashier's in when you see the line is wrapping around the store? Is it more important to make the sale or clean the racks? Seems a pretty obvious business decision.

    Prices are awfully high for a lower end home goods store, and the layout is awful and confusing. Cashiers are all the way at the back of the store, away from all the exits, which certainly doesn't help if you're in a hurry. Lines are always very, very long. The selection of items is nice, but shopping there is just too troublesome.

    Ok prices but most of their stuff are damaged, so you have to look through everything very carefully. Not a lot of choices for men and my gf was complaining that even though the store is full of choices for women, there are not a lot of good stuff.

    I love this location. It is large, has both a homesense and Marshalls and always has wonderful selection for everything from home, cleaning, clothing, and toys. They also have so much for the holidays, including gifts and decorations for different cultures. The store is clean ( and the bathrooms as well) and staff are friendly. Great store to check out

    The lady with blond hair and glasses was so rude and full of attitude to the customer who wanted to do a return! She couldn't control her voice tone and literally was yelling. The customer ended up leaving without getting the proper service. Shame on Marshalls for promoting toxic bahviours by hiring such rude people
