Horrible experience with Dr Fleming. He couldn't get us out of his office quick enough. Didn't seem the least interested in our comments on when my daughter's skin condition appears. Palmed us off with a few handouts with some recommended creams but hardly gave us a chance to understand what they were for and when to use. My daughter was holding out a lot of hope for this appointment but came out severely disappointed. Avoid!

After years of suffering with HS and feeling hopeless, I can finally say, I feel hopeful. Upon walking into the clinic, the receptionist was welcoming and efficient. Hardly any wait time, and was then met by a wonderful, caring, and extremely friendly nurse. Nurse Karen made me feel at ease instantly and Doctor Cecchini did more for me in 10 minutes than my family doctor has in 15 years. I highly recommend York Dermatology to anyone suffering with HS

I have been a patient of doctor Cecchini for months now and he is an amazing dermatologist but every visit starts the same. His receptionists book multiple patients for the same time slots which results in extreme tardiness and delays in being seen. I’m talking hours after your appointment time. Very unprofessional to say the least and it is absolutely not an isolated incident. If you value your time and peace of mind, I would highly recommend seeking another dermatology clinic.

Disappointing Service and Lack of Patient Care: Dr. Michael Cecchini was my doctor. I was referred to this clinic by a hospital, and I expected a better quality of service but extremely disappointed. During my first visit, before making a payment, I showed the receptionist a paper from my insurance, specifying that I needed a breakdown of the service date, including the cost, provincial procedure code(s), and patient diagnosis in my receipt (the same information submitted to OHIP). The receptionist assured me that this would be provided. However, when I later checked the receipt, I noticed that the codes were wrong and the table was not properly filled out! As a result, my claims were rejected. When I contacted the clinic to explain the issue and request a correction (I had to be persistent to finally get a response), they treated my request disrespectfully and even demanded an additional $50 for each corrected document they would send! I really regret to see such behavior. It looks like they are looking at their clinic as a business center. (this view point is even reflected in the about us page of the clinic where dr. Michael Cecchini feels proud as he could fund this clinic right after graduation and they have a lot of patients! (Well done! but as a potential patient, I would prefer to see a commitment to patient care.) This attitude ultimately results in treating patients like customers or mere sources of income. The doctor didn't even take the time to explain why he prescribed antibiotics during my brief visit and declined my test request. I had to visit another time after learning that if I asked, the doctor should have performed the test. Though, I still haven't received my test results after 3 months. (Supposed to be 4-6 weeks) I think I should also mention in my second visit I encountered a very caring nurse who carefully responded to all my questions. She even came out to the reception area to explain my diagnosis from the previous visit and why I should use my medicine, which I deeply appreciate! I wish to be lucky enough to encounter more of such people in my life!

If I could give this place a zero star rating - I would. Avoid at all costs! Surprised this place hasn’t been shut down yet. To begin with I attended this clinic on three different occasions from out of town. All of which began the same way with Dr. Cecchini being over two hours late for the scheduled appointment times. I was there to get a keloid scar treated and after extensive research decided that steroid injections would be the best course of action but Dr Cecchini was an arrogant doctor insisting surgery would be the best remedy. Listening to his advice was the worst mistake of my life. Not only did my keloid scars return but this time they were 3X the size and the healing took double the time Dr Cecchini had promised. After the surgery, my sutures ripped and the area became infected and despite my numerous attempts at trying to contact him for follow up instructions he insisted it was normal procedure. After that horrible experience I honestly lost faith in doctors until I recently met Dr Parsons.

Dr. Cecchini is an amazing doctor! He is very understanding and accommodating. Extremely knowledgeable and specialized his field. I highly recommend him anyone suffering from a debilitating skin condition. The staff and nurses are compassionate and friendly. Their office is also aesthetically pleasing.

I have been coming to York Dermatology Clinic for the past year and have had nothing but positive experiences. The doctors, nurses, and the entire staff have been friendly and knowledgeable. I see some reviews bring up long wait times but in my experience I'm often in and out of the building in 45 minutes or less. I would recommend this clinic to others.

First timer. Very pleasant experience. The staff is welcoming and efficient. The doctors are knowledgeable and generous. They get your issues taken care of at a affordable price unless it's covered by OHIP. Really nice clinic. Fyi come earlier to find parking the building can get busy at times.

Dr Cecchini and his staff are amazing. My daughter was referred for a very debilitating skin condition. The appointment we were given meant waiting for a few months. I thought I would call and ask to be placed on a waiting list. I was desperate and explained that we would take anything.The receptionist was so friendly and kind. She was so sympathetic to my daughters suffering and helped us get an early appointment. Dr Cecchini himself has been a blessing. He ended my daughters suffering, she's healing and feeling postive. Dr George is very kind and makes you feel so comfortable. There isn't one single staff member that we can say anything negative about. You don't feel rushed, they take the time to listen and answer question..visting the clinic means a two hour drive for us and is well worth it. I could write paragraphs on how they have changed my daughters life.if you are suffering and need help Dr Cecchini is worth visiting.

Dr Cecchini was impatient, arrogant, and disrespectful. I was nervous going into my appointment because it would be my first time at the dermatologist clinic. I had been waiting months and feared that I would not be able to receive proper care and for my concerns to be brushed away by the doctor. Unfortunately, this was exactly what happened. Dr Cecchini did not take the time to explain the drugs and topicals that he prescribed, or listen to any of my skin concerns. I could barely get a word in because he would cut me off, and speak over me. It was barely even a 3 minute appointment. Dr Cecchini, you should learn to treat your patients better. For future patients, be prepared to advocate for yourself or just avoid him at all costs.

Extremely attentive and caring. I have had several appointments. Dr Raj didn’t keep me waiting and explained my procedure thoroughly before proceeding. Very gentle with amazing follow through. Joanna was a delight also. I look forward to my next appointment with her.

Made several telephone appointments but Dr. Cecchini never called back or responded to emails sent to his office. We really needed to see a dermatologist and it was urgent but he never called us back. We called several times and the receptionist said he would call but he never did. Prior to this, Our second in-person appointment that was made via telephone, they didn’t document it in their system so when we showed Up for our scheduled appointment they didn’t have it in their system. Disappointing office. Front desk staff a bit unfriendly. Will never return. Good thing our family doctor was able to help us urgently and responded quickly.

Waiting in pain for my appointment, hoping for solution as it was really painful walking and stepping on my foot, Dr. Fleming rushed the appointment, telling me the problem I have is not what I think it was and that he doesn’t deal with what I have. He sent me off with a moisturizing cream and told me to come back in 2 more months if it didn’t help. Guess what, it didn’t help because he was wrong with his diagnosis. I was crying for some solution. He just didn’t care enough to help. Luckily, I went to Dr. Cohen at the Foot Institute who not only knew right away what I had but also was able to help me and in 2 weeks my problem was gone. P.S. my aunt had an appointment recently at the same clinic. When she described to me the arrogant attitude of the doctor, I asked her who the doctor was. It turned out that she had an appointment with Dr. Fleming.

The staff was friendly (reception, and nurses) and the wait time wasn't anywhere close to as bad as all the other reviews mentioned. Dr. Cecchini is very personable, and knew what he was talking about. If you have HS, he's probably the guy to be talking to. I have a follow-up in April, and will update the review.

Very bad customer service, very rude receptionist. Dr. Cecchini is extremely opinionated and doesn’t listen to what the patient is telling him. He has an accusatory manner and is quite rude. I used to go to this clinic when it was under previous management, the customer service and the doctor were great. Will definitely be looking for a new dermatologist in York, wouldn’t advise anyone to go there.

It will be 2 years in February 2024 that I had Michael remove 4 cysts from my back, they were not infected and this was for cosmetic reasons, he asked if I wanted to pay in cash, that should have been the first red flag coming from a doctor! I went through with the procedure and I was hoping that the scars would blend in over time, well it will be 2 years soon and I look like a stab victim. I was butchered, I know it’s on my back but I paid over 1000$ and I look like I was attacked with a rusty knife. See pictures attached, I took them today December 5, 2023.

I had two cysts removed from Dr. Cecchini. The process was quick and easy. The staff/nurses were extremely friendly and they made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. (I was quite nervous). Everyone made me feel very calm during the entire procedure and I felt 0 pain! It's been over a month now and the incision is completely healed with 0 issues. I also had to initially rescheduled my appointment and the front desk staff was extremely helpful over the phone and provided me with an alternative date right away.

A well oiled machine on all fronts! Dr. Fleming is great and a fair and reasonable person. The staff at this medical office are amazing. Keep up the great work! I will be bringing a thank you card and gift card on my next visit.

Very disappointed with this clinic. Had 2 appointment here and twice i waited for hours to be called in as they simply forgot about me. Dr. Michael Cecchini was supposed to send a referal so i could do some allergy tests, and i guess that too was forgotten. As its been over 2 months and i have yet gotten a call from a clinic to have my tests done. Go elsewhere if you want good service.

I got a cyst removed from here recently, and found it to be a good experience at this clinic. The staff here (doctors, nurses, front desk, etc) are friendly and cooperative, and the wait times are very reasonable. Dr. Cecchini was pleasant and professional - he answered questions politely after the surgery. The removal was larger than expected, but even then, the surgery had no complications and the recovery is fast and easy. The nurse, Kayla, in particular had a very good bedside manner that made this clinic stand out from my experiences at many other clinics and family doctors. She is consistently very friendly and skilled every time I go to get my bandages changed. A huge thanks to all!

Dr. Cecchini runs a very polite and caring team of professionals. Every nurse and secretary you encounter are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Cecchini as a dermatologist, he has helped me so much. Great office!

What a fantastic group of people. From the time you walk through the front door you are treated in such a pleasant manner. All of the doctors and nurses are fantastic. Dr.Ceccini and Dr. George make you feel completely comfortable when you are with them . As a patient of the HS clinic for a couple of years, I have had nothing but a fantastic experience each visit. They have been very helpful with an adult acne problem I've had for years. The doctor is very understanding and makes you feel comfortable. The nurses are very kind. The front desk staff are also very kind, both in person and on the phone. Everyone seems committed to helping the patients, which is refreshing because that isn't always the case at other places.

I have nothing but great things to say about everyone at this clinic. Everyone is SO kind, helpful and made me feel really comfortable, taken care of and listened to. Dr. Cecchini, Dr. George and Amanda were so efficient without compromising the quality of their work. Dr. Michael Cecchini has made a big impact on my life by getting me up and feeling better again, him and his staff are all very nice and compassionate, they take their time and work with you to find the best solution for your condition that will give the best results. The whole team is amazing and literally work around the clock for their patients. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a five star doctor.

I saw Dr. Cecchini about a conduction I had been experiencing for almost 15 years and he was finally able to prescribe something that helped within six weeks of the treatment. He is very personable and professional.

Dr. Cecchini is AMAZING! He is so fun, and doesn't make you feel dumb for asking 1500 questions. Dr. C listens to your concerns and life fluctuations and adjusts his treatment plan accordingly. He is a fabulous dermatologist and I look forward to the monthly check-ins!! My skin has never looked or felt better, and I get compliments on it all the time now. 11/10 would highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Cecchini for almost a year. There was a big learning curve for him and the staff, as he took over the office from a long time dermatologist. I have to say I was skeptical at first, because he was young and I have been to so many doctors trying to treat my HS. I'm happy that I gave him a shot because he brings a fresh set of eyes, and a lot of new knowledge to a disease most doctors don't know much about. He is incredibly busy, but he is building his practice, and I don't mind waiting because when I do have his attention I never feel rushed. He is very gentle when it comes to procedures and listens to all my concerns. His staff are amazing at making me feel comfortable and do what they can to ease any anxiety. When I have emergencies they make sure to squeeze me in, in a timely manner, and that means alot. I would definitely recommend him and his surgeon Dr. George. This is the most control I have ever had over this awful disease and I'm very grateful to him.

I have recently started treatment in Dr. Cecchini’s Hyrdadenitis Superitiva medical study using Yuflyma. In less than a month the discomfort and pain I have been experiencing the last 3 years is virtually gone. I can now without hesitation take our dogs for long walks and go out and enjoy myself pain free. Excellent doctor and staff. I came in to see Dr. Michael Checcini in April 2023 in despair as I was losing a lot hair and was afraid that I might have alopecia. He prescribed the right medicines and several months later I’m in great shape. The hair loss has stopped and am really happy with the course of treatment and his very pleasant and friendly demeanour.

I have had HS for years and I never received the proper treatment that this condition requires. I was referred to Dr. Cecchini and him, Kayla, and Dr. George have all been wonderful. On my first visit Dr. Cecchini was very knowledgeable, informative, and proactive about my condition and performed a deroofing procedure and I immediately felt so much relief. I had my follow up today (3 months later) and I can finally say I am pain free and I feel myself again. Thank you to the wonderful team at York Dermatology!

Dr. Philips knows nothing, his assistant asks for a second referral all about a money grab. There not busy and he takes an hour to get into the room , horrible experience. Run don't walk away from this joke of a dermatologist

I was fortunate enough to find out about Dr cecchinis clinic and get a referral for myself. He and his nurse took a detailed history of my 20+ year history of skin conditions. Then he was able to correctly diagnose Hidradenitis suppurtiva unlike any other doctor or dermatologist ive seen before. He started me on treatment plan giving me a positive outlook on my future with this disease.

Communication was good and all the staff had a smile on face. My dermatologist took a thorough history from me and after examination , he took a biopsy from my lesion in the same session , a procedure that is done by other doctors in a separate session.I like their job because it saved me a lot of time and energy. I have been suffering from Hidradenitis Suppurativa in extreme for 14 years. I've seen many doctors and so called specialists that would literally glance at my condition and push antibiotics...appt after appt, after appt. I found York Dermatology and got a referral. Never in 14 years have I had better and more treatment in a single appt. Dr. Cecchini is incredible, the nurse Kayla was just as incredible.
