I
have
been
a
patient
of
York-Med
Physiotherapy
now
for
several
months.
It
is
during
this
time
I
could
not
help
to
notice
how
its
operations
and
approach
to
patient
care
compare
to
my
prior
experience.
Previously,
my
wife
and
I
were
patients
at
two
other
well
regarded
physiotherapy
clinics
(eight
and
two
years,
respectively).
However,
with
her
recent
passing,
I
began
to
look
closely
at
other
options.
There
were
many.
It
was
time
to
do
my
homework.
It
is
true
there
are
several
“ways”
to
achieve
the
same
outcome.
However,
the
challenge,
as
I
have
learned,
is
determining
the
“way”
that
is
most
efficient
and
beneficial
for
me.
It
was
only
after
meeting
Mehran
I
began
to
see
the
distinctions
between
York-Med
Physiotherapy
and
the
other
two
clinics.
Previously,
with
each
of
my
two
prior
clinics,
I
was
assigned
a
physiotherapist
who
worked
with
me
and
me
alone
during
each
visit.
This
appeared
to
be
the
way
it
was
done;
at
least
I
thought
so
at
the
time.
The
first
clinic
my
wife
and
I
attended
was
owned
and
operated
by
a
well-known
specialist.
He
had
his
own
patients
and
practice
within
the
clinic.
Other
therapists,
all
well
qualified,
appeared
to
participate
on
a
rented
space
basis,
each
with
different
philosophies
and
methodologies.
As
the
patient
of
one
such
therapist
I
would
benefit
from
his
expertise
and
approach,
but
was
unable
to
gain
from
the
collective
experience
of
all
the
clinic
had
to
offer.
Additionally,
the
therapy
I
received
included
some
treatment
of
benefit
to
my
specific
issues
with
the
balance
of
no
noticeable
direct
benefit.
The
second
clinic
shared
similar
distinctions,
however
with
one
added
issue.
If
one
of
my
physiotherapist’s
clients
was
late
early
in
the
day,
the
impact
would
ripple
throughout
the
entire
day.
This
occurred
often.
Since
the
clinic’s
workload
could
not
be
shared,
sessions
became
hurried,
or
delayed.
As
before,
I
was
assigned
to
one
physiotherapist
out
of
several
who
could
not
be
interchanged.
The
result
was
undue
stress
for
my
physiotherapist,
occasional
substitution
of
a
trainee,
and/or
disruptive
hassle.
Enter
York-Med
Physiotherapy.
In
many
respects
York-Med
Physiotherapy
is
the
antithesis
of
my
two
earlier
clinic
experiences.
All
York-Med’s
patients
benefit
from
Mehran’s
direct
involvement
(during
each
session),
his
quiet
questioning,
unique
ability
to
visualize
a
problem,
and
applying
the
right
therapy.
By
means
of
“quiet
coordination”
professional
staff
know
just
when
to
apply
supplemental
therapies.
Patients
are
never
been
left
unattended.
Special
instructions
are
given
to
each
patient
to
follow
at
the
end
of
each
session.
A
busy,
albeit
quiet
atmosphere
at
York-Med
Physiotherapy
helps
to
ensure
a
restful,
productive
experience.
This
is
the
“way”
that
is
most
efficient
and
beneficial
for
me.
