its not the best place, i had been here and the teachers are sometimes cruel and say swears to students in the afterschool. Even some of my friends left this place becuase of how cruel it is to the students. i also saw lots of my friends being yelled at even though their actions weren't very serious. jack and marilou are always feared because of how they will yell at the students. i hope they change how the staff behave.

My young girls love the MATC! You feel like part of the family as soon as you walk in. Jack and his team of exceptional instructors are helping my girls learn this incredibly practical martial art all the while boosting their self-confidence and discipline. The facility is very clean and second to none. Highly recommend!!!

I started attending classes last year. The team here is the best - they are so kind and welcoming. It feels like a family. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also excellent coaches. I highly recommend taking classes here.

Great place to learn and train. My son started with the Martial Arts Training Centre years ago. Last year I decided to try different Martial Places however it was a good way for me to realize that Jack’s place was a better place in many ways, training, professionalism, techniques and discipline. Jack is very knowledgeable and very helpful. In one occurrence I witnessed that he refused a customer due to the parents’s aggressive behaviour. That showed me how much he values his work and his gym. My son is back at MA Centre and has improved a lot.

Great place to learn about jiu jitsu and kickboxing with amazing staff. My son has been going there for a few months and has learned a great deal, especially when it comes to jit jitsu. They have a great afterschool program, evenings and weekends classes, and birthday parties too! Highly recommended!

Absolutely thrilled with our experience at Martial Arts Training Center! My son, Kaisar, is absolutely enamored with martial arts, and it's all thanks to the exceptional coaching provided by Jack, Craig, and Mary Lous. The coaches here go above and beyond, not just in imparting martial arts skills but in building a genuine rapport with the kids. Kaisar looks forward to every session with eagerness and joy, a testament to the positive environment created by the coaches. I'd give a solid 10 out of 10 for several reasons. The coaches are exceptional, not just in their expertise but in their ability to make each child feel valued and excited about their journey in martial arts. The facility is impeccably clean, the staff is incredibly friendly, and you instantly feel like part of the family when you walk through the door.

Amazing instructors, amazing staff. All three of my girls have been going there since they were four years old. They get a good workout and learn great technics every time they go. They have gained confidence and I know they are in good hands. The girls have won many medals at various tournaments, highly recommend.

It doesn't matter how busy they might be, they treat every individual with family like care and attention. Amazing kick box programs for those who are just starting out and a great jiu jitsu program where you are constantly pushed to excel. The gym is very clean and consistently well maintained even from the previous gym to the new location.

The facilities are excellent and most importantly, very clean! There is nothing nastier than training in a dirty dojo so I really appreciate how well kept it is.

We have been in camps and after school program with Martial Art Training Centre. Staffs are nice, facilities are clean and they offer a broad variety of activities. We love it here!

My daughter attended the after school program at the Martial Arts training centre this year. She absolutely loved every minute of it. The staff are all amazing and she has progressed so much over this past school year!

10/10 recommend for kids to get active, learn martial arts skills, gain confidence and have fun! Wonderful experience for my 5 year old daughter. We have been attending the after school program for almost a year. The school pick ups are wonderfully convenient, there are nice vans with booster seats installed. My daughter has a lot of fun and always begs me to pick her up later because she doesn’t want to leave. Initially, my daughter was shy, but she got more comfortable and confident! The staff are really caring and the facility is very beautiful. It’s very clean, lots of space, lots of windows, light, and well maintained. There’s also a bunch of fun bouncy balls the kids love to play with during free time. The kids have a great time together, they are all smiles and using up their energy and having a blast. There is a good mix of warming up, martial arts skills, practicing with other students, training with coach and then doing some fun games too. My daughter has gained a lot of confidence, learned a lot of techniques and skills and she loves telling people she is training in martial arts. She’s not scared of using her moves and loves to practise on her dad. I also recommend joining the March Break camp, it was very organized and my daughter was excited to go every day. There was both indoor and outdoor activities when weather permitted. They got to go skating, maple syrup tasting, played at the park and indoor activities with the bouncy balls, playing in the giant gym, nerf equipment, art, 3D printing and of course martial arts skills.

Beautiful facility and great staff. I brought my daughter for a free trial. The owner Jack will make sure that your child feels comfortable. All in all a great experience.

My son goes to the after school program and karate classes. I could only say amazing things about this place. First they offer school pick up which is amazing for a mom who doesn't drive. Second they are beyond friendly and always feel welcoming. Third my son had behaviour issues at home and it got to the point where every weekend was a night mare but now with Jack and Mary Lous help he is starting to behave at home. I highly recommend Here for all kids and all ages.

We celebrated our son’s birthday at the martial arts training center. Marilou set up the party with amazing decorations and prepared all the fixings for our adult and children guests. Coach Jack delivered an very fun and interactive martial arts class with a group of 26 kids. My sons and their friends had a blast meeting the special guest, Spider-Man and doing the programming with him. Bouncy castle at the beginning and end of the party was a lot of fun. The facility was spacious, clean and inviting. The programming kept the kids very entertained so much so the adults were able to enjoy some free time, Highly recommend for a stress-free birthday party.

My son and I have had the privilege of monthly nerf wars with our group T.A.N.G (Toronto Area Nerf Group) during the winter months thanks to one of our members, Greg, who works there and the kindness of the owners/operators for allowing us into the space for a very small fee. This has been a game changer for us having games all year and I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who made this possible. This has saved us from the doldrums of having no gatherings for 3-4 months. This has made a huge difference in our lives and it has not been unappreciated. Thank you to all involved

My son enjoys the after school program here. It's a great place to burn off some of his energy and keep him active. Jack is very caring for every child and really understand each of their needs. My son was shy in the first month when he joined. It was wonderful to see the coaches taking time to guide him. Keep up the great work!

My son really enjoys MATC. He even asks to go for PA day camp instead of staying at home. He started attending the evening jiu jitsu classes back in 2021, then switched to afterschool program 2022. He also attended the summer camp in 2022. After the trial class (jiu jitsu), he asked many times if he could go again. We had tried tkd at another centre prior and he didn't even want to go inside the gym there. I can't pinpoint what it was, but the jiu jitsu class really appealed to him. Marilou (she manages all the administrative aspects of the centre) is incredibly responsive; I get email responses early morning, late night, weekends - you name it! She's also very accomodating of any needs we might have. Jack (the owner) is very involved and knows all the kids. The centre is very clean (including the washrooms) and they are open late M-Th for afterschool & camp. The latter is a big deal for us as we have long commutes; the extra flexibility means we don't have to stress out if we'll be later than usual due to road blocks. My son likes the classes and he's always excited to show us new techniques he learns. He enjoys the variety of activities offered during the afterschool & camps - nerf gun wars (his favourite), 3D printing, bouncy castles, field trips etc. Because there's a large public park & splash pad across the street, they also get a lot of outdoor time during the summer. One downside is the limited parking between 5:30-6pm (a surge of cars from afterschool pickup & 5:30pm classes plus the neighbouring offices haven't gone home for the day yet). It's a short period so it's easy to work around and there's also ample parking available across the street at the community centre.

The Martial Arts Training Centre was kind enough to allow our Nerf group to rent the space for hosting games during the winter months. The facility itself is well maintained and clean, and all interactions with the staff have been great.

I can’t say enough about this establishment from the offered programs to the staff and even the instructors. My son has now been attending for just over a month and the changes in discipline and patience I have already seen in him are incredible. I have attended every day of the week to meet all the different instructors for the classes and i can honestly say they have been nothing but polite and willing to speak to the parents on improvements and anything you can be working on at home. My son is loving coming here at least twice a week if not more. He’s already made friends and he sleeps like a baby after every visit. The viewing area upstairs for both the kick boxing and BJJ is amazing. If you looking for something for yourself or your child/children to burn some energy learn new skills increase their discipline make friends then I can say you have read the right post and found the right place.
