My child went here for its after school in 2022. It's a very organized and structural facility with caring and responsible coaches/supervisors. They offer nearby school pickup and normally have 15-20 mins of Taekwondo training and other activities under supervision. The supervisors are very friendly and they help students with their homework and math exercise (offered at this centre). My child enjoyed the whole session here and had no complaints at all. All coaches and supervisors here are willing to communicate with parents in case of any questions.

Master Tong and Master Son are two of the most passionate Taekwondo Masters I have ever met. Their dedication to developing their students is amazing. Not only are they focused on the student's physical athletic development, but they equip their students with valuable transferable life skills through the training that benefit them in their everyday life. I highly recommend Canadian Taekwondo Centre.

Canadian Taekwondo Center In Richmond Hill ! I can't say enough about this place. The Master Son and Master Tong love teaching Taekwondo and It shows. Not only teaching Taekwondo but also teaching how to respect people. TKD is balanced mix of discipline and martial arts. Respect and trust are in high esteem here, Master Son and Master Tong are awesome people and thoroughly knows how to deal with kids.

Canadian Taekwondo Centre deserves a five stars rating because as a student myself, I think Master Son and Master Tong are passionated in what they do and have lots of patience in training us. My son Bodhi has been fortunate enough to be a student with Master Tong since he was 3 and a half years old. Master Tong and his instructors are thoughtful, kind, and competent. They are diligent, experienced and offer active insightful feedback that helps significantly in improving required skills at a faster pace. Amazing well trained staff. They address needs of every single student while coaching them as a whole team which shows and outstanding management abilities. They know how to motivate little children to progress while not putting them in strict ambience of martial arts. About the math part, it’s amazing side activity, training the brain as well as the body. I have to offer my special appreciation to Ms. Choi, Master Jay after all Master tong as the owner and manager and the whole other staff. I am so happy that my son joined this place. My loves his Tae Kwon Do class !!!

This is the best place to learn taekwondo and also the best place for after school. My children were very happy , learning mathematic and taekwondo. Teachers are very nice and gentle and children learn social skills in a friendly way. Thanks Master Tong for everything you are doing for our children .

I usually come here and see lots of kids do Taekwondo. Masters are super nice from what I see and teach good lessons. I do not have a child but once I came here like maybe… 1 week ago? I heard 3 different kids crying, saying that the teacher was too strict. I also heard arguing about: “ they had rights and saying that they are not screaming” and they argued. I came down again and the female person with blonde hair was really disrespect. Seriously someone needs to know this

Amazing facility. World class Masters. They have all kind of classes, from Tiny Tigers, Children, Adult to Family classes. Recently Sparring basics training have been introduced which my children love them. Highly recommended.

My children - ages 5 & 8 - started classes at the Canadian Taekwondo Centre in March 2018. Grand Master Son, Master Tong, Master Min and Master Chris are all incredible instructors - in their style of teaching taekwondo and in their way of dealing with the students. I’ve been training here for five years, almost six and I can comfortably say this is the best Taekwondo school in the Richmond Hill/Markham area. Master Tong, Master Jay and Master Son are all great masters and they all seem very passionate. Correcting all my mistakes and even offering to help me with my Poomsae and other techniques outside of class time. Even through the pandemic, the online classes were great and fun. Being apart of their first group of students, watching this school develop and introduce new types of classes like Competition training (Sparring) and eventually introducing a Black Belt class felt great to be apart of. This school is also backed up by a World Champion and Grand Master; Grand Master Son, so you can assure that they have a great curriculum.After training for so long and earning my Second Dan black belt just a few weeks ago, this school is world class.

Our son has been with the Canadian Taekwondo Centre for over 4 years. We have been exceptionally impressed with their ability to ensure the children who attend the Centre obtain a comprehensive understanding of all of the stages in taekwondo. Furthermore, they have installed such discipline and commitment to the sport for our son, who obtained his first level black belt most recently. The consistency and commitment of each of the instructors has, and continue to provide our son with a tremendous outlook towards achieving his second level black belt! I would highly recommend this institution for all children of all ages, and I for adults who are interested in learning taekwondo. Their summer program is also enjoyable. The teachers here are very responsible, with 2-3 teachers in each class. The teacher will carefully correct students' movements and patiently teach them. When exams are coming up, sometimes students will be delayed in class. A trustworthy and good place to send children here is reassuring.
