A year-end activity with work colleagues was no match for our collective problem-solving skillset! A few technical hiccups aside, we had a great time collaborating on the mission incredible and getting the diamond out of the room. Friendly staff and a fun atmosphere, with challenges that we worked on both as whole and in smaller groups. These adventures are great with the right group, so choose your partners wisely!

It is located on the side of T&T. It was difficult for a family to figure out, but the kids enjoyed it and the staff were great. A couple of items needed fixing while playing. The entry and wait were enjoyable with free games and popcorn. The price on Saturday for an hour room, Misson Incredible, was $28 each. The rooms were a little small, but comparable to another we've tried downtown. Thank you

Went here with my friends for our first escape room and we all had a fantastic time. We did the unmask escape room and the puzzles were hard but easy after you've completed it. What really made the experience great was the staff. She gave us alot of requested hints and was super nice the whole time. Really recommend trying it out!

(Mission Incredible Room) —> The experience was exhilarating, with engaging puzzles. Difficulty rating at 4/10. Quick completion times on the leader board suggest it's beginner-friendly. Friendly staff enhanced overall enjoyment. It is a fantastic choice for beginners seeking an exciting escape room challenge in Richmond Hill. Note: Taller or bulkier individuals, especially 6'2", may find the initial jumping/crawling challenging due to the nature of the game, however the rest of the game would be very easy. We completed the game in 50min, were out 10 min before the actual game. We wasted 14 mins during the first phase because of the challenges mentioned above. Suggestion to go in a group of 4-6, should be done in 45 minutes. I’ve attached a small glimpse why it is difficult for tall people :p

I went to visit fam in TO and was recommended to try this place. We ended up doing unmasked as it was the only room that fits our time slot. Having done many rooms everywhere i would not be ranking this one in particular in my tops. Overall the place was nice and clean. Reception area roomy and can accomodate waiting guests. The room we did was not the best. Found it lacked alot in terms of puzzles and creativity as there are literally 3 identical locks... Tools were weak at best. Room was a decent size. The story was ok. Game master was ok. But lacked in the hint delivery system. Still old school where the game master comes in. Though this wasnt one of their best i am willing to go back to try the other rooms. Overall just did not have the WOW or Cool factor for me.

We had a great time solving the puzzles - they were very creative! The staff was really wonderful and welcoming as well. Aside from the escape rooms, there is also a large area where you can have coffee/snacks and play board games. Highly recommend!

Came here with friends for the first time yesterday and it was the best escape room experience. The lobby and whole building was very nice and had board games and a TV too. The owners of the place were witty and very friendly as well! Will definitely come back here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! They also have a very large waiting area with plenty of games to play before or after your escape room. Staff also helped when we got stuck and lead us in the right direction without giving away too much. Special thanks to Tina and Vahid (sorry if I misspelt)

We did Pirate's Prize and it was one of the best experiences I've had. The decor and put-together of the room was amazing-on point with the theme. The uniqueness of the room and its clues was great. The variety of clues and puzzles was amazing. The free popcorn was a definite plus. The employees were so kind and helpful, with us bothering them with the hints the entire time. They were very patient and gave good clues without giving too much away. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend the Freeing Canada Station to everyone.

This is an incredibly well-constructed escape room as all the hardware and technical components involved were high quality, purposeful, and deliberate, much more enjoyable than some others we’ve tried where the clues were confusing and combo locks required a much-needed upgrade. We tried the Mission Incredible room - I can see that some people in the reviews section are salty about dropping the diamond. I think this is completely their own fault as my boyfriend and I managed to do it with eight very sturdy sticks. On top of that, they made it very clear at the beginning that if you drop the diamond, it’s game over. Very enjoyable game room, we’ll be back!

I have been to Freeing Canada a few times in the past. My friends and I have done a total of 4 rooms at this location. Today my partner and I went and were quite disappointed. We did the room Unmask, which is best rated for 6 people. Since there were only two of us, we knew it would be tough but we figured since we were pretty experienced that it would still be fun. I’m not sure what happened from August to now, but there seems to be new staff who don’t seem as passionate, or frankly, even care about the experience. Almost everything in the room (and even the lockers in the front lobby!) was broken. The flashlights we were given barely worked, and we were given the broken piece of a headlamp as a replacement (at least it worked!). We needed a few hints and called the front desk staff in for help. They took their time coming to room even though our time was ticking, and took the time to clean up one of our used puzzles in front of us before even giving us the clue we needed. We found this extremely unprofessional. I of course don’t want to give any hints away, but one piece of the puzzle was supposed to open a door, but we didn’t even know it worked until we yanked on it. If we didn’t assume it worked, we would have wasted one of our hints and the time to figure it out. The staff did give us extra time considering there was only two of us, which we appreciated, but we still struggled due to vague hints and the staff being generally apathetic. I spent $63 (even though the website said it would be 23 a person) for this evening which seems extremely steep as the quality of the experience has steadily declined. My partner and I have done over 15 escape rooms together and we both agree this was the worst one we have ever done. The staff were nice, and I’m sure it was a one off situation. We have had extremely positive experiences here, so we hope that if we come back, it will turn out better.

Have played 2 rooms so far, both were really fun! Puzzles are not too easy, not too hard. The rooms are multi-staged and very well decorated to fit the themes. I also really like how this location's puzzles are mechanical, which adds an interesting dynamic to the rooms. Overall, I had a great time and I will come back again!

It was so much fun! The rooms were advanced and well thought out, which made the game super fun, appropriately challenging and true to the nature of an escape room! The staff were so nice and helpful, as well. Also- The lounge is cute and has board games to play! Will definitely be back.

I had such a great time at this escape room. The variety of rooms was really impressive and I loved the different themes. I tried three of them and had a blast - I think there were two more that I didn't get to try. I can't wait to come back and experience them all! Highly recommend this place for a fun and challenging adventure.

My first escape room experience was here. I've done most of the games here. Most are well designed and intuitive. Nice use of tech and logic. Generally feels like it's just right in length. Some props need a refresh as they are dated or didn't function properly (low battery in flashlight, broken wall). I've heard they changed up some games after user feedback. So good on them for trying to improve the customer experience.

The escape rooms are challenging and SOME of the staff are quite friendly. When there were wait time, We got free popcorn to start with, and there are also board games to play for free ! The staff even grant us bonus times even if the time was up !!! Oh at the end, they offer us to take Polaroid picture and it goes to the wall of shame because we failed to escape from the room:(

This place is so epic! Great rooms, difficult-but-obvious-afterwards puzzles, and just an awesome place in general (except for the fact that they serve expired drinks and chips)! I would've liked this place so much more if my friend didnt fart while we were trapped in a small room

No spoilers review. Pros: good selection of rooms that allow 2 players which is rare, good price, friendly service. Cons: few customers so atmosphere is very quiet/not lively. basically a clientel issue. Entrance is a little hard to find, especially at night. Not accessible (long flight of steps up). Very quiet - cafe/bar is closed and the board small game lounge doesn’t seem to be used by anyone. Only one staff present, although very friendly. Price per person is on slightly more affordable than other major escape rooms. Mission Incredible room review: Good mix of physical and mental puzzles. Most steps were challenging but solveable, with good hints. Final part requiring some physical maneuvering is a little frustrating, personally feel like they could change the material/texture of some props/tools to make it more accomplishable. One part of the puzzle had the answer spoiled because of stains/scruffs from previous players - recommend the puzzle be cleaned more frequently to counter this. Hoping this place gets some more love! I think it has potential :)

I booked a time to go. Got there and they said the room was broken that we couldn’t play. I understand things happen so I let it go , a week goes by, I booked again but did a different theme to avoid the same issue with the first theme I booked for . Again , it’s broken and my booking got canceled. At that point I don’t believe it anymore , extremely suspicious and a waste of time

This escape room was really interactive and fun! They also have a fun waiting area with foosball, and a bunch of other games. The ambience of the place was also nice. Overall - would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of having a fun night of solving puzzles.

Hands down best escape room I've been to

  • 4/5 Anwar D. 4 years ago on Google
room was well appointed (no cheesy props and clean) booking was easy and everything was on-time. Only opportunity would be a more detailed explanation of the game protocols (we did "Mission Incredible") the lasers were not visible due to lack of mist/fog and staging was not well articulated by host upon entry. Other than that, it was a great experience and will definitely return... alas.. no free popcorn was offered as in other reviews LOL!

Everyone here is very friendly and the escape rooms were nice. We were 2 of us and of course the room was challenging but our host Tina was very understanding and helpful. Thank you!

I'm going to be brutally honest. It was the worst escape room destination I've ever been to. I'm a huge fan of escape rooms, but freeing canada station in Toronto was not it. There was only 1 staff, everything was dusty and not hygiene. It was as if the place was abandoned and no one goes there anymore. Furthermore, we picked the Mission Incredible room, and at the last part you only get one shot at taking the diamond oit with some sticks. Obviously this is rigged, but my friend used her skinny slim hands to reach inside and take it out. Overall this was a really bad experience and the rooms did not have a good vibe to it. Everything was dirty and the lasers were rigged.

Extremely disappointed, it says they’re open Thursday’s on their sign outside. Had us waiting out there in the cold knocking on the door and calling their phone. Don’t waste your time here. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

Great challenging yet solvable escape rooms. Kids love it and so do we but somewhat overpriced at about 30 per person.

I visited this escape room and played Devil's Toy Box. I really liked the theme and the story. The quality of the puzzles is much better than the other escape room in GTA. The lounge area was very welcoming, nice and well decorated. I also played free board games after the escape room. The staff were very nice and helpful. I definitely come back and play other rooms.

I had a very fun day today. I came with 4 others frds and play Mission Incredible. We are kinda dumb and solve everything kinda slow, the staff is given us enough support and give out really useful hint, We enjoy the process of solving puzzles and feel the joy of success at the same time. Objectively I don’t think this puzzle is too difficult, but it does require better observation and imagination. If u have frds that love solving problems, brain teasers stuff but don’t like the horror theme like me, really encourage u to come and have fun
