First visit here and ordered dinner set and a roll. Salmon was very fresh~ and I like how they serve salad 🥗 & soup 🍲 &ice cream 🍨 for free 😍 I think it'll be my new favorite Japanese restaurant. Service was nice 👍

I’ve always wondered why this place is pricier than other sushi places. Now, I know because they use the most freshest fish in generous portions with a charming plates. I’s great that they use less rice more fish!! I’ll be so addictive. Update: great for takeout too!

Great Korean run sushi joint. Reasonably priced for how good the quality of ingredients and how well prepared everything is. The menu could use an updated format and the restaurant needs better lighting. These are rather minor things but worth mentioning.

These guys go above and beyond. We ordered from skip the dishes Sunday Jan 2 night, and they came through!! The salmon was thick, sashimi was juicy, and tempura was also still hot! I’ll be back and order again. Thank you and appreciate it!

First and foremost, Renovations look amazing. Such kind staff and very courteous! The food was amazing as usual and was extremely flavorful. We had the Philly rolls and an avocado salad which were to die for. Miso soup was included which was always a nice bonus. Personally, the green tea stood out and was very flavorful as well. 10/10 would recommend to others

It’s the first time I have been here. It’s small and cozy; there’s only one waiter, she’s nice and enthusiastic. The sushi is very fresh, I really like their salmon poke bowl. Salad and miso soup are free, and also ice cream. The price is reasonable, and it’s a pleasant experience.

I have been to this place a couple times now. Each time I have been I have had an amazing experience. The sushi and other items are all so fresh and flavourful. They also have tons of other options on the menus if you don’t want sushi like bento boxes, poke bowls, tempura and so much more. I had today the spicy sushi combo and a California hand roll. Also came with a miso soup and side salad. Everything I ate today was amazing and so fresh and would definitely go back and recommend trying the stuff I got. The service was also very good and very quick and the person who was serving us was very nice and sweet too. My only wish is that they make the restaurant bigger as it’s a very small place and you might have to wait if you go on the weekends or busy day. But overall would highly recommend

**Rating is more like 3.5** Got takeout from here and the turnaround time was pretty reasonable. Not exceptionally fast but not too long. The sushi itself was pretty tasty and fresh, but not the largest and best I’ve had. Pricing is a bit pricey given the portion size (again comparing against other sushi restaurants I prefer), but again overall decent. I wouldn’t be opposed to getting sushi from here again.

I have been eating sushi for more than 20 years, this place is really good. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff. It seems like it was a family owned restaurant, which means everyone cares about the business and pay attention to the details. They even make their own soy sauce. I would definitely recommend this place.

Good sushi, good service, reasonably priced. Sashimi are fresh, pieces are of a good size. Maki rolls are rolled a bit too big, and are slightly bland. A bit less rice, and a pinch more of seasonings in spicy rolls would make them better. We did a dine-in and the place was busy with pick ups by food delivery couriers. It's a popular place.

We had never tried this place although we are very closed by, but we decided to try it tonight and to our surprises this place is good. We came on a Friday night and there was no customers. The waitress was very nice and answered to all our questions. The foods were great and the sushi were fresh. It is operated by Korean so be expected to have Korean infused Japanese foods. Prices for dinner are reasonable as all other Japanese restaurants in the area. Overall we had a very positive experience and will love to go again.

Cozy little spot for sushi, the waitress was kind and very helpful! My order came with a free salad and miso soup, and they even offered me a free bowl of ice cream after! Everything was just how I wanted it 👌

First time ordering from this place. Got take out. Had to wait an additional few minutes past the time they said it would be ready. Staff is ok. Sushi is ok. Gyoza a bit dry. Miso soup kinda bland. Will probably not be back as there are so many other sushi places in Richmond Hill to order from.

Walked in and ordered a sushi/sashimi platter for lunch. Took about 10-15min to receive our order. Also received a complimentary order of gyoza dumplings. All tasted fresh and service was good.

Good place for sushi. Order time was 30 min. and it was ready on time. Fish was fresh. No “fishy” taste. The rice wasn’t too thick in the rolls it was a nice thin layer. Avocado was ripe and buttery with no dark spots. The presentation was nice. The combo tray looked just like the picture. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring this to a party. The sushi chef has skill. The avocado was sliced so thin and the cuts through the fish were very clean. You can tell this chef takes pride in their work by how sharp the knife is.

Called in to do a pickup order of 3 rolled sets... All were done really well. Rolls were big with lots of fresh ingredients. Would definitely order again to support a local restaurant.

The salmon teriyaki bento was good. However the chef might’ve forgot to put salt as it was very bland. The sushi was good. No fishy taste at all. However the $29 plate of sushi was not enough to be filling for one person. The fish on the sushi are very thinly sliced. The salmon on my sushi does not look as good as other reviews as it has very little marbling. Sashimi slices on the other hand were great. Place was very quiet on a Sunday dinner we were the only seated table.

Ordered three takeout party trays and they were all delicious and fresh! Great variety and reasonably priced. Gyoza was not bad but nothing too special.

Combination Party Tray - (Medium) Assorted Sushi - 20pcs Sashimi - 32pcs Roll - 22pcs I was scared to get this but, we were hungry and it didn't disappoint .. there was 3 of us and best part was the raw octopus 🙂 We inquire about if we can substitute the raw eel with something else. We got was the Tilapia and it didn't disappoint (see the white fish sushi)

Best sushi place ever. This has become our to go place for a while now and even though there are a few sushi places very close to where I live, I would still drive further to pearl sushi because they're amazing. The food is excellent and the staff would always go above and beyond to provide an exceptional customer service. :)

Came here yesterday (Wednesday) evening at 6:30 p.m. to meet up with a friend for dinner. It was very quiet inside & we were the only customers until approximately 8:30 p.m. when another group came in as we were wrapping up. This made it a great place for catching up. Pearl Sushi not only offers Japanese food such as sashimi, sushi, rolls but it also has Korean options such as kimchi fried rice, kalbi (available in a dinner or bento box set), bulgogi, soon dubu, etc. I opted for their roll set 2 (14 pieces) at $24 - 8 pcs. spider roll, 6 pcs. California roll and tempura. The rolls were fresh and just the right size for one bite. The tempura was a full order that you would usually get when you order it a la carte with 2 pieces of shrimp, broccoli, pumpkin, sweet potato and green beans. The batter was light, not too oily and the sweet soya sauce was nice. My friend had the kalbi bento box at $33. The only thing that she did not like about it was the most important part of the box which was the kalbi. It was mostly fat :( so she did not enjoy that at all. Our meals also come with miso soup and green tea dessert. The miso soup was overly salty (and I like salty!) and the green tea dessert was nothing special. It would of been nice to include a small salad to accompany the miso soup as most Japanese restaurants do when they give you soup, salad and dessert. The service was fine. There was only one lady serving all the tables which was sufficient since it was only us there for pretty much the entire time. She was kind enough but did not say much as I don't think she speaks English fluently. The prices were decent though the bento box was a bit steep since the kalbi was not great. There are many other places to go to at this price that has better food. I likely will not be back but did want to give it a try since they have really great reviews.

I had some alternation (no tuna and changed the roll to dynamite roll $1 more) this platter was very filling and everything was fresh! $60/$61 (cash)for this isn’t too bad and we have left overs. Super friendly service.

Great service and food. Took my nephew there for his bday dinner as it's one of his fav places for salmon rolls. We also had Pork Katsu, Chicken Don noodle soup, shrimp tempura 🍤.
