The soup was very good, however the portion size has decreased since the pandemic. The price has also increased to an unreasonable amount of $16 for one bowl of noodle. Safe to say, there are better alternatives at a cheaper price.

My favorite fish soup rice noodles chain, been to Scarborough and this location many times. The food has been consistently good, today was an exception. The broth was kind of thin or watery, not as flavorful as it used to be. The popcorn chicken was good.

This is one of the best place for Chinese rice noodles in town. You can select your own soup and toppings. Each rice noodle combo comes with two toppings and a hot drink. You can also add a side order or upgrade your drink with a few dollars extra. The food was really good and the portion was reasonable. This place was casual but clean. It was a nice cozy place to enjoy lunch and hang out. Will definitely go back again!

Been coming to this Deer Garden for many years with my family. The staff here have gotten to know my dad and are always kind and patient with him which I appreciate. Food portions are generous and is prepared very quickly. My go-to combination is original fish soup, beef brisket and cuttlefish slices, udon, and a hot lemon tea. Ask for chili oil to put in your soup! It really takes their fish soup to the next level.

Been here a few times now. Noodle soup restaurant really. Limited menu. Order from paper and select your toppings and broth. Nice little place but shady owners/managers!!! I paid our bill while my friend was in the bathroom. And when she came out she wentto pay the bill because she didn't know that I had already paid it the owner guy collecting the money took my friends money as well! We paid twice for the bill! Buddy didn't even flinch!! Very shady business practices!! Didn't like that at all! I've returned but now am super careful with this place. Would recommend to those who like noodle soups but with a word of caution that this place is SHADY so be careful!!

My go to for tasty spicy Tom Yum beef noodle soup 🍲 In the pic is a version with brisket and enoki. I went a couple days later and much prefer sliced beef with oyster mushrooms, but mixing and matching is all part of the fun. I’ve tried several broths and ingredients over the years and that’s where I landed.

Good service, but the soup had too much broth for Udon. Beef Brisket is good, but Fish is too soggy. Ovaltine drink is great.

I am constantly craving a nice bowl of warm noodle soup and this is the best place to satisfy your cravings. My go to is the Malay Laksa soup! It is so rich and flavourful. Nothing beats it! Every time I come here, no matter the time or day, it's always busy! Don't expect amazing service though. Places like these are meant to solely enjoy the food!

Hong Kong cafe style restaurant. Very spacious and clean with comfortable seating that can accommodate any party large or small. Extensive menu. Friendly staff. Good food that’s not overly salty or oily. The curry is really good. Would return and recommend to friends and family.

Bright and clean HK style restaurant. We got the signature fish soup noodles take out previously and the food quality and portion were pretty good. Today we tried their red braised pork tender on rice & pan fried pork chop with egg & onion on rice. We found the rice combos were not as good as their noodle soups. The selected hot drinks under $3.25 were included. Parking was always a little issue at Time Squares but it was ok this late Sun afternoon. Overall experience was ok. Staff were polite.

My go to place whenever I’m craving for some noodles. I highly recommend their Noodle Combo, which in my opinion, has got the best value for your money. The combo costs $15.75 and it comes with a bowl of soup (includes two free customizable toppings) and one free $3.25 HongKong style hot beverage (there are additional charges for cold beverages). They also offer a maximum of two side dishes for the combo. I personally love the Taiwanese crispy popcorn chicken and the pan fried honey glazed sausage slices. The food always comes within the first 5~10minutes after placing the order. The only downside is that the business only takes debit or cash. Other than that, there really is nothing to complain about. Friendly service, delicious food and a nice atmosphere! :)

Everything we ordered was delicious and portions were big! We got Red Braised Pork Tender Bone on Rice (special for the day), Teriyaki Unagi w/ Egg on Rice, Malay Laksa noodle soup (rest of order in description of picture) and another noodle soup. Each dish was also able to be combined with a drink, which were all great. Pro-tip: ask for XO sauce on the side if you want to spice up your food

Deer garden noodles are good. Their daily specials are pretty good too. I had their Thursday special which is Braised Pork Cartilage Rice. I thought it was good value and yummy. Comes with a drink. If you want, you could upgrade drinks to bubble tea and other stuff. I always stick to HK style milk tea.

I have been going to their restaurant for several years~ I love their two kinds of soup, Tom Yum Goong and Laksa Soup. If you also like thick soup, or the stronger taste, please give it a try! The service quality is very good, and the environment is clean. Highly recommend!

Portions are huge. Could've shared 1 noodle amongst 2. Flavour is deep! And chicken is crispy, didnt disappoint. We'll be back again!

Been craving deer garden for a while, since it is one of my top Noodle places. We ordered 冬陰湯 and laksa for lunch, they were super quick and perfectly spicy.

Meets my gluten-free needs in the fish soup they serve! The popcorn chicken is a Taiwanese style - they served it on a napkin which got stuck, maybe switch it to foil or wax paper next time? It was reportedly delicious!

The laksa is quite authentic. Goes well with pig’s blood and stomach as shown in the picture. The beef tongue is thick and not gamy. Food is good but service is sucks!

It's noodles. A couple of multiple choice orders to make your meal easily customizable. Fair price for combo. Around $12 per person. Most busy during lunch and dinner

First time experience. Mediocre at best. The service was okay, I never have a lot of expectations in the small Chinese restaurant. One of the waitress did pushed us to pay the bill because other reserved customers are coming? We barely even idle that long. Was just a quick friends gathering. I find that to be quite rude and unacceptable. The food I ordered was the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Big mistake. Should have known they aren’t authentic Taiwanese restaurant. The chicken had that msg aftertaste. Vege could have use a bit more flavour. The egg was overly cooked. Milk tea was “okay” but not great. To be on the fair side my friends who ordered the soup were satisfied. This place also doesn’t take Visa / Mastercard. Cash / debt only which is also extremely weird. Other Asian restaurants nearby are Mastercard friendly. It’s worth to mention you have to walk up to the counter to pay the bill. (I wonder why do we even pay gratitude fee for?) If you visit this place. Stick with what they do best - the soup. Avoid the Taiwanese dish.

Noodles better than those served with boiling pot! A variety of soup base and toppings. They offer lunch combo with drinks. I will definitely become a regular here.

Love this restaurant. You won't feel thirsty after eating. Good price for this quality. Will go again.

Smooth taste. For those who like little spicy Southern Asia coconut curry, highly recommended besides the popular fish rice noodle. The restaurant provides extra spicy sauce for those who can sustain higher level of hot spicy.

Loved this place. You can build your own noodles from the soup base, noodle type, and ingredients. The tom yum soup base with egg noodles was absolutely amazing, and the portion sizes are big. The owner was also very friendly. Definitely recommend.

As a regular to this location, I have nothing to comment on dishes. Fish soups never disappoint me no matter when and how I get it. I indeed rate five stars for dishes. One star is discounted due to unpleased services by few staffs and a disorganized waiting policy for dine-in.
