Fairly hidden little gem in an area packed with restaurants. My family stumbled upon this place because the restaurant we were planning on dining at was a 1 hour wait. There was no wait for Red&Hot when we arrived but there was a decent number of people dining. The food here is really good. The portions are very large and the prices are okay. The flavor is authentic and the oil and spice did not make me feel bad afterwards. I will say that it wasn't very spicy - for a place called Red&Hot, some customers may expect extremely spicy dishes. I found it very manageable which is good for me, but which may not meet the expectations of other diners. I would recommend all the dishes we ordered - Hot and Spicy Pork Slices, Fish-flavored Shredded Pork, Fish-flavored Eggplant and Boiled Fish with Sichuan Pepper. We saw other tables getting stuff that looked delicious as well, so I'll definitely try more things next time I come. Our bill all together was $100 including tax and tip.

Food is ok but quite pricey. It takes quite some time to prepare as well. The fish in chili oil was not as flavourful as it looked. Fried rice is pretty good.

The portion sizes here is great, and I like their spin on traditional Sichuan dishes. The eggplant and popcorn chicken dishes were my favorite. The place is small and can get packed. Make sure to come early or make a reservation.

They made really authentic Si Chuan food! The Mapo Tofu with the great texture sauce which is not thick sauce made by corn starch like other restaurant. You can taste the authentic ingredient inside the sauce. Although the Mapo Tofu looks a heavy sodium & MSG dish, it is not at all! I don’t feel thirsty after enjoying their food. They made a great example to show people what Chinese food truly is. Their authentic food remind me of my trip at the Jiuzhai Valley National Park in China. Definitely going back to try other dishes!

Great Szechuan restaurant in York region. Heart it's busy all the time. Was lucky no line-up during my visit.

The taste was alright. The fried dishes were more oily than we would have preferred and the spicy ones were very sweet (maybe a one-time thing of adding too much sugar). One good thing was the portion size, which was generous considering the prices. The service was fast but dirty dishes from previous guests were left on the tables without being cleaned away - we finished our meal and the table next to us was still dirty. That was a little odd because the servers weren’t too busy anyway.

Water boiled fish was excellent. Salt level was perfect. Spice was a little low but decent and could have used a few more Szechuan peppercorns but very good. Service was mediocre. We weren't greeted or sat. Water jug on table with no glasses. Waitress took cold water away and brought us hot. There was a strange web-based ordering system with no indication of what table we were sitting at. Cash or debit only with a cash discount.

I love spicy food, but I can't handle too spicy. The dishes are not just spicy, but packed with flavour. Absolutely recommend the brown sugar rice cake. Great dessert to finish off a hearty meal. Great presentation. Portions are very generous. Prices are not very expensive. Spacious, and tables are amply distanced. Would definitely come back again!

Small restaurant in a busy complex that you probably won't notice easily but it's actually a gem! If you love spicy food then this is the place to check out. I ordered four dishes and were all really good. Really liked that taro chicken pot, so spicy and so perfect.

A very authentic Sichuan restaurant, the green peppercorns are the best proof. Fortunately, I found it through Google Maps, will definitely go again.

The food was great but could be spicier. We ordered 5 things including tips was 190 so definitely a bit pricey. The Chicken fish they have is really good

This place has amazing Szechuan food!!! Had three dishes and left them completely finished. Recommendations ⬇️ 1.Taro Duck Pot - soooo tasty! Flavourful duck meat pieces with tender fried taro, tofu puffs, cabbage and onion. 2. Hot and sour shredded potato! One of the best shredded potatoes I had in a while. Perfect amount of salt, vinegar and spice with some crispy. 3. Brown sugar rice cake dessert. Must order dessert! So soft and not too sweet😍

If you love spicy food then this is the place to go. It’s the most authentic Sichuan restaurant I've ever eaten in Toronto. Don’t forget their dessert - brown sugar rice cake, so yummy!

This place is good. Ordered the fried pork ribs and pickled vegetables with fish and both were very delicious. The broth of the pickled fish dish was delicious. The staff were very friendly and nice and the place itself was very brightly-lit clean too.

This is the most authentic Sichuan food I've ever eaten in Toronto. It tastes as good as anything I remember eating in Sichuan. Mapo tofu is highly recommended. It will taste better in a restaurant. The boss is also very humorous and talkative. I'll be back soon!

Favourite go-to Sichuan restaurant. The flavours are unmatched. Been there more times I can count

Taste good. Kinds of traditional Sichuan cuisine. The spicy level is just right, not like other Sichuan cuisines, the only taste I can feel is hot. The most recommended dish is brown sugar rice cake. The sesames are filled inside. It is amazing!
