So glad to have found this Korean chicken place so close to our home! We were very pleasantly surprised to find that each order of fried chicken comes with a side of fries - what great value! The secret fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and our favorite by far. The garlic fried chicken was seasoned with plenty of garlic and had a great crunch. The fries are fried to perfection, and stays crunchy even after it cooled - we couldn't stop eating them! A five stars from me - we will definitely order again. Keep it up!

Hoolala Chicken is a brand from Korea that specializes in Charcoal grilled roasted Korean chicken. The chicken is super tender, and tastes amazing as well as the seasonings with it. The Original and Special are the ones to get. The large is perfect for 3 people or so. Service was great, very accommodating and nice staff. It is worth the drive to Richmond Hill! Highly recommend this place!

3.5 Star Review - Can Improve Korean Fried Chicken | LLBO | Cash Discount | Mon-Sun 12pm-11pm Covid protocols in place Newly opened chicken joint with private parking lot about a month ago. Great service and beautiful interior design. When it got a it busy the restaurant did get a bit stuffy. Already serving draft beer (Moosehead), soju and other alcoholic beverages. Not a full bar or extensive bar menu but just enough for wings. Complimentary radish and coleslaw. Cajun rice: It came looking like Uncle Ben's rice. It tasted just like Uncle Ben's rice. The flavour, texture and colour and all. As a home-cook, I really hope they're not serving me Uncle Ben's rice for $3. Disappointed. Cheesy snowy fries: Not crispy. Heavy parmesan taste, not stringy enough. Fries seemed more baked than fried. It gives me the frozen fries feel. Disappointed. Original half KFC: Crispy and tender on the inside. Not much other flavouring other than that. They did offer ketchup and special mustard packets from Korea. Spicy secret fried half KFC: There was an option for regular spicy (one chili) or spicy (2 Chilis). I asked the difference in spice level and the server said the regular even a child can eat. So I chose spicy. And it was nicely spicy. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Nice and hot. But both chicken I didn't get the FRIED chicken feel. Almost feels baked. It's healthy and juicy on the inside but I'm still craving for a bit more crunch and oil. Overall I'll come back to retry maybe in a few months when they settle down and make some adjustments.

Richmond hill north finally has its own Korean chicken. The soy honey fried chicken was amazing, authentic Korean taste! I find it less greasy compared to other kfc. Would return again and recommend it. 10/10

An amazing restaurant. Large portions and the servers were absolutely attentive. The fried chicken are fresh and large pieces and full of flavor. We had mix fried chicken, dry and with sauce - the sauce was perfectly seasoned, snow fries and the best fried Korean rice cakes with spicy sauce. Their Cajun fried rice and cheese corn is so delicious, my kids ate all of it. Highly recommend and will return. It was consistently flowing with customers during a very busy Friday night both for take out and dine in.

This place is going to be part of our regular line up. We ordered a small ($16) order of soy garlic Korean fried chicken (which comes with fries) and a small order (also $16) of the original charcoal grilled chicken which comes with a side of Cajun rice. You also get free cole slaw and pickled daikon. The food here is delicious, especially the charcoal grilled chicken, which has a beautiful smoky flavour (this was my favourite dish of the meal). I also love how the charcoal chicken has some Korean rice cakes in the dish and it takes on the smoky flavour too. I wish you could order the rice cakes as a side dish (I need more!!! Lol). The chicken here is incredibly juicy, moist and perfectly cooked. Its not too salty or oily so its perfect fried. The fries are phenomenal, crunchy on the outside and soft like mashed potatoes on the inside. We upgraded our fries to "snow fries" for an extra $5 which has shredded mozzarella and this orange cheese powder on top. I could do without the orange powder but the shredded mozzarella was tasty, just not sure if its worth $5 extra. If I got the snow fries again, I'd ask them to hold back on that orange cheese powder. The Cajun rice goes really well with the chicken and its a nicely seasoned accompaniment. The service here is also great, staff are friendly and food comes quickly after ordering. Heads up that you get a 10% discount for paying cash and any extra sauces ordered cost extra for about $2. I'd highly recommend coming here and trying both versions of the chicken.

Great little Korean fried chicken spot! The portions aren't too overwhelming and their fries are crispy on the outside soft on the inside, just the way I like it. Their spicy isn't too spicy either. Good choice for the area since there aren't that many KFC options!

I enjoyed the taste of bbq chicken!!! Chicken was so tender and yummy! The sauce on the spicy bbq chicken goes well with the cajun rice that comes with the bbq chicken :) they also give little tongs for you to use and I didn’t have to lick my finger after 😝 enjoyed the atmosphere as well :) Definitely visiting again! 👍 next time I want to try the snow cheese version 😍

Fantastic Korean fried chicken place up north! Their chicken is delicious and it was a pleasant surprise how their chicken breast was so tender. They offer a nice variety of options on their menu. They serve beer on ice cold mugs so if youre thirsty, a good place to be. I personally don’t particularly like Cajun rice, but that’s just me. All in all, would definitely come back if I go golfing up north.

Really good Korean fried chicken. We ordered 2 half orders so we could try 2 different flavours: the secret fried and the soy honey fried. I was surprised to see it came with some fries which was a nice touch. Sauces were good and the chicken was nicely battered. The boxes we got were stuffed and I think a half order would be good to share for 2 people. Would highly recommend and come back.

I’m just happy that we finally have a decent Korean restaurant in our area. My top favorites are the Myungdong King Katsu and the Bibimbap – they’re simply delicious. The fresh banchans are a real highlight, much better than the dry and old ones at other places. It’s great to have a go-to spot for regular dining out.

Their oven baked chicken is so delicious and rich in flavour. I love that the chicken comes with the tteokbokki (rice cake) mixed in with it because the sauce is so good for both. You can also get crispy tteokbokki as a side dish. Their sets come with cajun fried rice which really compliments the dish but also tastes amazing on its own. We love to come here for their food but also because the owner and staff are so wonderful and kind! Nice portions for the price and great atmosphere too!

First time trying Korean BBQ. Food and service was fantastic. The flavor profile of all the dishes was amazing. The nachos were yummy!!Recommend the fried chicken and you can pick your sauce. You won't be disappointed!!

Overall pretty good Korean Fried Chicken. The soy garlic was very good but the spicy flavour was a bit too sweet for my taste. The fries in one portion was old and cold, but we probably could have asked for a new serving if we cared. The size of the chicken pieces is perfect and it was very tender. The batter could be a bit crisper. This place deserves higher than a 4, but it's closer to a 4 than a 5.

Do you like your Chicken Fried or Grilled?🍗 We got Garlic Korean Fried Chicken, and The Secret BBQ Charcoal Grilled Chicken. Garlic Korean Fried Chicken came in crispy, crunchy, juicy Chicken that was fried to perfection, tossed in their addicting Garlic Sauce, paired with Fries, need I say more? The Secret BBQ Charcoal Grilled Chicken came in perfectly grilled, smokey, tender, juicy Chicken tossed in their Secret BBQ Sauce that was spicy and sweet, it also had Tteokbokki in it, plus a side of Cajun Rice to soak up the sauces, OMG SO GOOD!! Overall, the Chicken this spot offers is OFF THE CHARTS GOOD, love the KFC, and we couldn’t get enough of the Charcoal Grilled!

Amazing Korean fried chicken! When my fiancée and I went, it was quite busy as it was a Saturday evening. But we got a table quickly. The staff were nice. Definitely will return to this place.

Decent chicken and space. 3 star more from service than from chicken itself. I enjoyed the grilled chicken platter in secret sauce best. Chicken and waffles comes with original chicken with a solid flavour and crunch to the waffles. The soy chicken is crunchy and sweet, a nice safe choice. Not my favourite korean fried chicken place but would go again because of the thorough and attentive service with helpful suggestions. Thoughtful as I came in with stroller and toddler and they tried figure out best way to have them safely out of the way to have food served ans comfortably sitting

Seems to be a relatively new rebrand as it was previously Hoolala Chicken. It was my first time trying out this spot, and I had a great experience. The menu had a decent variety of options to choose from. The eggplant bibimbap was good with generous portions of toppings. The price may seem steep, but the portions make up for it. The pork bone soup also had generous pork bones. It was quite busy on a weekend night, so the wait time was around 15-20 mins. It took a bit of time to get the food but it was understandable due to the busy rush. I highly recommend coming in for dinner in the earlier hours.

We came ordered (take-out) because of the reviews. We were told the chicken was a good size, lots of quantity, etc. We bought the 8 pieces with fries. The food tasted excellent. What wasn't good was the portions. 3 of the chicken pieces were the size of chicken wings or smaller and the fries...well, my 13 year old counted 16 small pieces of friends. Not even a handful. For the taste I would recommend this place. For portions and for what we paid, we would try another Korean place. Too bad as they were about 600 meters from our home.

Portion sizes are very large, we brought a lot home. Their spicy chicken could be a bit spicer, and we found the batter to be a bit soggy compared to other places we’ve tried. Overall not bad and service was pretty friendly. The place gets busy quick so if you’re going for lunch I’d suggest getting there around opening time.

Amazing food and friendly staff. The kbbq spicy was bit too spicy for us but it was still great! The original bbq was perfect and if you like green onion i recommend you to add it on the side. I took secrete bbq home and it was the best even after it cooled down. It kinda reminds me of 닭갈비 in a sweet version😋

We went arrived shortly after opening on a Sunday and we’re surprised to see they were already busy with take out orders. Though there were lots of tables available for dine-in, the place quickly filled up and got busy. We had a pleasant dine-in experience: the server was friendly and helpful, and the food arrived piping hot and in a reasonable time. We ordered two chickens and a cheese corn for four people. The secret sauce BBQ chicken was definitely the favourite at our table. The flavour was a delicious balance of sweet, spicy, tangy with that smoky flavour from the BBQ. The rice cakes were a perfect accompaniment. The Korean fried chicken crispy and well seasoned, basically as good as any other Korean fried chicken joints. The Cajun rice was yummy and went well with the saucy BBQ chicken. The cheese corn certainly was cheesy, but (based on our preference perhaps) we should have ordered another order of fries or rice cakes instead as they were delicious. Overall an enjoyable meal that worked out to about $20 per person. I’d recommend this as a good casual dining option if you’re craving something more than just the standard Korean fried chicken.

Great place even with the rebrand! The chicken was REALLY good especially the green onion. Super impressed with the staff as well, felt super taken care of. Great place to eat with friends.

We decided to try this place a few weeks ago and took advantage of their lunch specials. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken and waffles. The food was freshly made to order with the exceptional waffles which seemed like they were frozen and just reheated in a toaster oven. The house salad is fresh and comes with a very simple vinaigrette but it provides a nice balance to the fried chicken. To add the salad was a bit extra but well worth it as it comes with a pop. As of October 2023, The restaurant has some daily specials: Tuesday was wings, Monday was the KFC original flavour I believe…so check out their website for the most up-to-date information or call.

The food was very good. Solid 9/10 on the food. The chili chicken was very good. The only problem I had with it is that the sauce was all at the bottom and the chicken wasn’t already coated in it. Once you dip the chicken into the sauce, it is really good. The other two flavors that we got were also incredible. I wish they had chopsticks though.

Place has decent seating, but they didn’t turn on the AC. It was super stuffy and hot inside for early June. Food was good - we had the Spicy Sauce KFC. It was super crispy and tender, had just the right amount of sauce (not too much, nor too little). Came with a side of fries. Also got the Snow Cheese Fries, it was alright. Just Costco fries with mozzarella cheese and some cheese powder seasoning. It was made fresh and hot, but the taste wasn’t anything too special. Probably won’t order again. All in all, not bad for a $30 dinner. Will probably be back to try their rice cake and other flavours of KFC.

My first time trying Korean Fried chicken. It was good. Spice was not so much although I chose the higher spice level. When you take first bite it's a bit sweet then the spicy kicks in. Ordered baked rice cake and fried chicken asked the associate for the spicy one. Don't remember the name. Overall good halal option for eating Koren fried chicken.
