Visited: April 24 5:30 pm Stopped in for a visit in the later afternoon. The place was quite busy which is always a good sign when stopping at a chip joint. The service was polite, though a little slow due to the high volume of people. But very reasonable considering the traffic. Cash only so make sure you prepare for that. Prices were reasonable, about average. Portions generous and the food was hot and tasted great. The only reason for 4 stars was, no debit option, but the food was good! I would go back again!

I'm glad we stopped for some hot, crispy, thick cut French fries at Hanks - they were delicious! Friendly, efficient staff greeted us at the clean order counter. We ate at one of the picnic tables in the shade of the umbrella. The $6 medium fries was quite large; $2 for a cold can soft drink. They have daily specials incl chicken burger, poutine, fish & chips. Closed Tuesdays.

Quality, Quantity, and Price. Our first time there, earlier this evening. We will be returning - especially on Sundays or Fridays. Sundays are 2 burgers and large fries for $18. Fridays are 2 pieces of fish and fries (forget the exact price - but remember it was very reasonable). Taxes are included in prices. That big grill to the side makes the whole area smell like Heaven.

Amazing food! Fish was delicious, well cooked, Crispy and much better than most restaurants I have been too! Working in the food industry for as long as I have these ladies got what it takes! Service was impeccable, so kind and full of smiles! That's great customer service! Thanks for a great meal! 👌

Great spot to stop in Smiths Falls. The owners are so kind, so happy to be doing what they do and they do a great job at it! Excellent service, delicious fish, fries and poutine and an awesome little spot to sit out front to eat! (Being a mama, we always have to use the facilities and this might have been the cleanest porta-potty I’ve ever seen)! We will definitely be back again!

The service was fast, the food was good and the lady's working were very nice. Amazingly large portion of haddock fish. (see photo), and reasonable sized portions of fries. However, the reason for 4 out of 5 stars is it all was extremely greasy (oily), the fish soaked the paper bag they put it in, the batter on the fish was (in my opinion) overly crunchy, and their prices are a bit high compared to other fish and chip trucks that we have been too. We ordered 2 portions of fish with chips and an extra order of small fries. The total came to very close to $30.

Visited on: Sunday, May 28 2023 Hank’s is under new management, they’re super friendly and there are picnic tables available now. Another good change is the ability to pay by credit (previously was cash only). However, the menu has changed and it’s not as good as it used to be. The biggest disappointment was no more deep fried pickles and the brown gravy is tasteless (flat). Unfortunately we most likely won’t be returning. The new owners seem great, and if you’re not having the gravy then you’ll probably love this place!

Ordered a hamburger with the works and toasted bun Got mayo lettuce and tomato only and bun not toasted The meat was flatten...making the bread hugh and out of proportion In response to your burger On the menu Where does it say SMASH burger Plus when I ordered the burger the lady said yes to my bun been toasted. A simple apology would have been fine and I would accept . But no ...your reply is Good luck with other chip trucks??? REALLY???
