Loved this place. It was full on a weekday, Tuesday night. Staff and servers were really amazing, efficient and gives personal attention. Sushi and food was great 👍 will definitely come back here when able. Generous servings. ❤️❤️❤️

We ordered take out, as we are in town visiting family and chose this place based reviews. We ordered two rolls and edamame. My avocado cucumber roll was pretty good. My husband got the Grand Canyon. We are from California, and the only place we have been to out here so far is Blue Ribbon. Wasabi was a bit overpriced for the quality. Maybe we are just spoiled, being from California and having a ton of great sushi places nearby. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and the presentation was great. I would love to come back and sit down to eat. Cute little place. **was a Monday night**. We enjoyed it. I would recommend if in the area!

Good food, not the best sushi we’ve ever had but decent for a local authentic Japanese restaurant. We loved the fried tofu appetizer and mochi ice cream. Very good service, enjoyed our night.

Great food and even better service. The staff was incredibly friendly. Our food took what I thought was a reasonable amount of time for handmade sushi however the waiter was very apologetic and gave us an order of edamame on the house.

Service was great and food was fresh. Limited parking. Clean restaurant. Eggplant was made well and delicious sauce. Grilled mackerel was good. Tofu was done well. Rice in sushi was less tasty, not enough vinegar. Cooked shrimp and tempura was chewy, batter was also not done well, some lumps. Shashimi was fresh, average size pieces but there were two pieces with bones, 4 types of fish and octopus for 30 pieces sashimi for two. Bento box was bigger than we thought. Prices were ok for the size but not the quality of the food.

Little bit outside of Ridgewood downtown area, this restaurant is located in a beautiful garden area, with their own parking lot. The inside of the restaurant appears old and under maintained. But their has lots of goodies, sushi, sashimi, udon, katsu, all of them either in combos or individual dishes. I loved the spider and dragon rolls. They were large pieces, rice was soft, they were well made. Got the chicken karaage combo as well. Chicken was little over fried to my liking. Miso soup and rice bowl were good. The combo plate had lots of chicken, easily shareable between two. Service is pretty good. We didn’t have to wait long to order or to get our food. Overall we had a nice weekend lunch, but not impressive enough for a return.

This cute restaurant is not downtown Ridgewood NJ. However it offers superior Japanese fare and is always busy with regulars and locals. The sushi and sashimi selection is great, they also have Udon dishes and appetizers like Yakitori ,as well as Teriyaki plates (chicken, salmon with rice), all very tasty. It can be a bit crowded on the weekends , its a popular place ! The inside is a bit on the older side and if you make reservations ask for a booth, better than the tables or eating at the sushi bar (small space). They also have plenty of take-out orders on the week-end, so try to get in before 7:00pm to avoid lines.

Lovely people. Never had been but friends recommended. Went for takeout. First impression - floor was sticky - ick. Next, placed takeout order. People were very nice. Told me I could sit at bar to wait, offered me green tea. Lovely - BUT - a termite came crawling along the counter. Uh-oh. Decided it must have come from the outside? Took my food, went home, tried a few pieces - just OK. Then, a termite came out of my dinner. No thank you very much. I'm sorry, the people were very nice. But I can't do food after that. Perhaps they need their restaurant to be checked.

Can't say enough good things. Their sushi is delicately prepared by well-trained hands using fresh ingredients. Have been here many times and not once have they slipped up. The salmon teriyaki is perfection, as per my wife. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed!! We’re regular take-out customers and when they screwed up and left out the rice, bad enough we had to drive back to pickup, there was no apology but they doubted us. Unbelievable!!! Like we would let our food go cold and go through all the inconvenience just for some rice.. 😤

Quality has gone down hill. Ordered 3 sushi rolls and a chicken teriyaki dinner. None were good, or tasted fresh.

Have been coming here for many years. Finally tried non-traditional dishes seafood ceviche and eggplant with sweet miso. Wow. I’m loving this place more.

Among the freshest sushi and sashimi ever. Very helpful, responsive and pleasant service. Cozy country-inn ambience. Good value. We all three agreed.

Overall this place is good. I’d give another half a star if it was an option. Grilled (or fried?) yellowtail for an appetizer was exceptional! Everything else was good, but nothing too exciting. Prices are high but comparable with other dine-in sushi places in the area. Service is what lost them the stars. I ordered a Sushi-sashimi combo that came with a regular roll of my choice, and I made a seemingly simple request to serve the roll on a separate plate (for my 3-year old who can’t have raw fish or food touching raw fish due to age). And they said it was not possible unless I ordered an extra roll. Which I did. But that just rubbed me the wrong way. At this price point I wouldn’t expect push-back on something like that.

Really surprised by all these reviews, because the experience was not good here. Restaurant is pretty cramped, and the food does not taste good nor is it properly portioned. It’s also very expensive for the quality you end up receiving. The shrimp tempura “special” roll was overpriced considering it barely contained shrimp, the beef udon soup had very few pieces of beef, and the spicy tuna roll tasted very slimy and not like fresh tuna at all. Very disappointed.

Very good quality sushi. Perfect service. Seems to be my favorite for next year.

I went to the restaurant and was told they were closed because they were short staffed. A customer came out with a takeout order and I asked about takeout and they said no because there was no chef. The chef was right there behind the sushi counter - our eyes met. It's one thing to randomly close out of the blue - it's quite another to lie to a customer to their face. Disappointed is an understatement.

Nice local Japanese place. The food is great and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced. The service is great as well.

Truly the best and the most authentic Japanese cuisine - especially sushi and nigiri - in Bergen county, I wouldn’t go to anywhere else for those in North NJ. The Oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl) here is yummy and really well cooked - right amount of rice topped with light broth, using soft and juicy chicken thigh instead of chick breast or chicken tender. The staffs and sushi masters here always treat my partner and I with hospitality and kindness ☺️.
