5/5 17th May 2022 Came here for a business dinner. Really liked the place. The food here was super fantastic and it was authentic Lebanese as well. The taste was fabulous and the drink Shapman was tasty as well. Whoever is in Lagos and is looking for authentic Lebanese food, this place is a must go. Enjoy!

I only left the 5th star cause that’s for God. Parking was a bit of a mess because its in the same compound as cactus and co… so parking is a bit tight, especially if you go peak periods. Absolutely lovedddd it. Great ambience, food is tasty with a zillion options. Cocktails and mock tails are fantastic! Different seating options. Waiters were sweet too!

Best Japanese food in Lagos. I love the fact there are no hidden charges here. The price displayed on the menu is what you pay! Perfect sushi, with wasabi that tastes like what you'll get in Osaka. I've been to Izanagi more than a dozen times and not once have I been disappointed. The customer service is great. The wine selection is nice. It's my slice of Japanese food here in Lagos.

Really enjoyed the ambience here, lunchtime sunday by the pool was nice, bustling atmosphere, the food was great, the waitstaff were polite and attentive, try the chapman with “condition” - with a double Bacardi, that will pep you up! Great place for a Sunday meal with family or friends. Make a reservation just in case, but you can also just stop by, but are more likely to get a table outside if you haven’t reserved.

Firstly, the man in charge that day was super. We lodged in the hotel that night and wanted celebrating our friend. Took our bottles of wine downstairs with the cake, however we were told drinks weren’t allowed at the pool side/bar. Nonetheless after some back and forth the man representing the manager promised us 2 shots on the house, he eventually gave us 4 shots 😆😆. The crew sang for our friend, gave us a complimentary firework on the cake to celebrate him and ensured it was a beautiful night. The food however, not sure I liked what we ordered that night though. Nonetheless it was a beautiful evening. Oh yes, they are quite prompt with meals being prepared as well. Next day, Still lodged in the hotel, ordered shrimps and fries from the restaurant to be brought into the room. The shrimps were great however I didn’t like the herbs to it. Fries were okay. Overall, great experience though.

First of all, you can locate Salma easily. It's a beautiful place. There are different compartments to suite your preference. You can also dine outside by the poolside for a cooler and lovelier experience. This restaurant serves well-prepared LEBANESE cuisine. The service is satisfactory, also you can bring children here. I'll 10/10 recommend if you need a nice place to unwind and have Lebanese dishes.

Really good Lebanese food. Can be really busy. Indoor & outdoor sitting with really good ambiance. Waiters were very attentive & polite. Didn’t have to wait too long for my order. The restaurant is in a very central location close to the business district. Highly recommend to Lebanese food lovers

Calm and charming ambience. My waitress wasn’t the smartest when I visited so service was slow, she didn’t have good knowledge of their menu either but when the food came, all was forgiven because it was really good.....the desserts won my heart. Expect a little bit of crowd on Sundays. Indoor & outdoor space, limited parking. The main building is a hotel, Salma’s is the restaurant of the hotel so yes, you could lodge here. They have a small coffee shop right upfront. Pricing is above average.

If you're not a fan of proper Japanese, you won't like this place. Nigerian Japanese food does not taste the same as authentic Japanese. Be ready to experience different flavours from what you're used to. There's a private space you can have a mid sized group The service is great. And the drinks too

Good for group outings! This place has got great ambience with good, colorful and tasty food- as far as Japanese food goes. I enjoyed the dynamite shrimp the most. Our waiter was very efficient as well.. Here's a tip: order your mains alongside the starters because they take a long time to prepare.

Ahhh.... Salmas!!! I have fond memories of this place. I have been to Salmas twice and I must say the experience was impeccable. If you are ever looking for authentic lebanese cuisine and reception in Lagos Nigeria....look no further Salma's has it all. The environment is clean, aesthetically pleasing, calming and has one of the most beautiful dining areas and rest rooms I have seen. It has a pool sit out for Al fresco dining overlooking the lagoon. Really lovely with good traditional middle eastern music serenading you as you dine. The waiters are very knowledgeable about the menu and polite. I was really impressed by how much they knew about the meals Now to the meals... I had the opportunity in partaking in the Iftar Meal which was literally a feast...no jokes. It had everything from Dates, Lentil soup, hot Mezze - batata hara, Fatet Hommos, cold Mezze - Hommos, warak enab, moujanat traditional lebanese drinks, Fattouch, traditional main course and of course dessert. Every meal was a hit back to back. I had the roast half chicken which was flamed grilled to perfection. It had a balanced taste of lemons herb marinade and spice which I couldn't get enough of. The lentil soup was fragrant and tasted really good. The meals were well seasoned and spicy and ohhh the yummy warm lebanese bread. I got to taste meals I had never eaten and to be honest I loved it. I had an Apricot juice called Amar El din which was very refreshing. Ohh and the portions were perfect. Salma's is a great place for hosting family and friends as they have meals for sharing. If you feel like you are unable to finish the meal, no pressure they're always ready to pack up mini take-aways for you. They have an extensive menu so be sure to have something to suit everyone. I think they use quality ingredients as you can taste it in every bite. I have eaten lebanese meals outside Nigeria and I must say that Salma's is at par with them.

Food - 2/5 Service - 5/5 Ambience - 5/5 Cost - 2/5 The restaurant is beautiful and the outdoor bar/ grill which is poolside creates a beautiful and almost serene atmosphere. The food was underwhelming and bland in some parts, it definitely wasn’t worth the money and I wish we had stuck to eating starters tapas-style. Recommendation: “raw goat meat”, deep fried cheese filled pastry, calamari and baba ghanouj. We all enjoyed our drinks but overall the majority of our food was disappointing and overpriced for what it was. There is also shisha available although we did not have any so cannot give feedback. Really clean environment, they provide spray bottle hand sanitisers on the table as well as napkins. For the service and ambience alone, I would come here again but only for mocktails/ drinks and maybe 1 or 2 finger foods. Summary: The restaurant is beautiful and the ambience is second to none but the food was surprisingly bland [and overpriced].

Very authentic Lebanese food and the portion is generous!! We ordered meat platter and cheese rolls for two people, so full! The environment is decent and comfortable. If you spend more than 10,000N per person, you would be eligible to use the swimming pool, yet, the water is a little cold. Overall, highly recommend!

This restaurant is a great spot for those who would like to experience that feeling of coming together as a united family and sharing the same meal . They have very wide round tables that make everyone feel part of the group, and less isolated. I also like the way Thier waiters are very welcoming and polite they really are incredible and you wouldn't want to leave the place without dropping 😊tips😊 I enjoyed Thier very spicy potatoes and grilled chicken Thier meals are kind of classic and can accommodate everyone from also all part of the world . The decoration is top notch and would make you miss the place once you leave . They have a place where people that smoke go. 🤢🤒🤒 I hate smock smell though. The only thing that I'm usually not comfortable with is the grouper fish that they tend to burn while roasting, making the whole taste bitter. But this restaurant is worth trying. Nice food ✌️🤤

The restaurant also offers a wonderful drink menu. I’d love to visit again. I'd recommend it as a nice place to go with friends, family, or a partner.

My night out at Salmas was magical, because it was the night I proposed to the love of my life. I went there for dinner with my longtime girlfriend and my cousins, and the ambience/scenery was just so magical I couldn't help but go on one knee and ask the LOML to marry me. The staffs at Salma's were so good they helped my dream proposal come true, they got me a cake for my fiancé with "will you marry me" written on it, and we had a standby waiter at our table at all times to tender to our needs. We ordered the "Oga Platter", Pina Colada cocktail, Chapman, and packet juice with a bottle of champagne. One thing to bear in mind though when visiting Salma's and placing an order is that they charge you separately for VAT (Value Added Tax) and consumption tax.

The excellent food, very helpful service and advice on what to eat to those like us with little knowledge of Lebanese cuisine. The food was fresh, flavoursome, plentiful, great quality, very reasonably priced. The experience here is all about the food, hearty, filling Lebanese food that is both generous and tasty. And for that reason, I highly recommend 👌🏾

Super authentic and very high end Luxurious place. The service and food rivals some of the best in Beirut. I would place this at my top 10 places in Lagos. Make sure to try the “white coffee” it’s out of this world. Also Arak, an anise tasting sweet liqueur is available. The venue is covered in marble from the floors to the walls.

Clean setting, attention to detail and warm, efficient staff. Food was well cooked, very good preparation techniques and presentation and high quality ingredients- the toum and hummus were silky, the babganoush perfectly smoky and consistent, the meat, tender and the bread, light. However they're heavy -handed on the lemon. I found it overall too sour compared to all other Lebanese food I have eaten. So regrettably, while everything else is top notch, the food disappointed when it came down to it, on taste.

The customer service is superb. Authentic Lebanese food too! No lie. The salads and grills were very well done and the food wait time wasn't alot either. There wasn't any freshly squeezed juice though :( but their mocktail selection menu made up for it. They have really nice ambience and a view that overlooks the Lagos Lagoon. All in all, not bad at all...

Salma's is in the lifestyle complex far more popular for the king of restaurant longevity in Lagos, Cactus. But clearly, there's a new sheriff in town. And this is one good looking sheriff. Salma's is very well decked out. Looks good feels good and most of all, tastes good. Added to this heady mix of goodness is a well priced menu which certainly won't discourage the average diner from a revisit. Two thumbs up for sure.

What can I say...the only Japanese thing about the place was it's over-priced menu. Zero ambience and Zero Feng shui, there was a weird Pablo Escobar poster for some reason. And the staff doesn't understand a hick of Japanese, I mean....I get it's nigeria.... but they don't really have anything else you get! The food had zero presentation and creativity, honestly I've made better designed pieces in my kitchen. I'll try the other Japanese restaurants and hopefully find something that's actually Japanese. The meal below is apparently N7,000. And the place has such a nice name too...3 ⭐

The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Was there for dinner and we ordered a bottle of sweet wine, a salad for starter and forgot to take a picture because it looked to yummy. It was good we decided to share the starter because the portion was large and good for 2 people. It had some crunchy beef, tomatoes, lettuce etc in it. For mains we had the land and sea combo to share which had beef, lobster and rice to go with, it was delicious of course with my chilli on the side. We ordered glass of cocktail and it was really great. Now the dessert was all that, we had the chocolate lava cake and ice cream. It was like a brownie and ice cream that was extra delicious, warm and crunchy on the outside with a delicious vanilla ice cream. The lava was the melting of the ice cream on the warm cake. Almost everyone was ordering that so I guess it's a best seller. When I got there they were working on their outdoor space and I took a picture of that tree. This tree is beautiful and provides a natural cover over the out door space. It looked amazingly beautiful. This restaurant is a MUST visit in Lagos. Keep it up.

Yum yum yum is all I can say. Very beautiful spot, with an upstairs and downstairs sit out. Very helpful & attentive waiters. I requested for sushi the day I went & through the helpful explanation of the friendly waiter I was able to order & enjoy my meal. Unlike most Japanese restaurant, I had the option of eating either the real sushi (raw fish) or the cooked or partly cooked fish.

Went there for valentine's with the wife last night, haven't gone there in over a year. Last time I went there food was a 5/5, after my experience last night, not so much anymore. Raw fish used for sushi was 100% not fresh, the first thing I could smell as i walked in was the fishiness of the raw fish, I confirmed it as soon as I saw the pale colour of the fish resting in the fridge. The fried rice I ordered had chicken that tasted terrible, I'm pretty sure the chicken has been in that kitchen for months, the shrimp in the fried rice was no better, I literally got solid pieces of shrimp in the fried river, never in my life have i seen shrimp with such texture. I saw them serve sushi that was prepared and resting on the counter for at least an hour before being served. Dishes that were meant to arrive hot were all served cold. Although best thing about last night was their fast service. It's sad that a restaurant once considered the benchmark of Japanese cuisine in Nigeria has been reduced to such quality.

Lagos's Best Kept Secret. Tucked away in Lagos's "IT" zone, the Island is Salma's Authentic Lebanese Restaurant, one of the many of such places in Lagos but yet unlike alot of Lebanese run establishments. A hit difficult to find unlike its more popular next door neighbour-Cactus. Salma's is considered Lebanese fine dinning and they truly do not disappoint, has to be a reason why it's an expat favorite. I've been to a few middle Eastern themed establishments and I daresay Salmas ranks head and shoulders above alot in Lagos. If you're open to  experiencing a different palate, this is my go to for that. The service is top notch even on busy days and the food never misses. My favourite things on the menu are the Zatta Salad, Fattouch, Tabbouleh,Freshly made flat bread and mixed platter. The special mixed Humus is one of the best I've had in Lagos. The batata harra is also something worth trying and if you're not watching your calories their specially crafted deserts like the "fried ice cream". For the shisha lovers, they also don't disappoint!

I loved this place, it was so bright and nice, the staff were nice too. We had the seafood platter which was delicious and something with shredded goat meat and egg. Loved how crunchy it was and for drinks I had the smiling sinister. Please if you don’t like alcohol or can’t hold your liquor stay away. You should totally visit worth every penny.

Nice atmosphere and good service as well. I loved the Salma signature cocktail (sour and refreshing) and the meat platter was very nice, definitely a hit of the day. I am not Lebanese so lack the knowlage on authentic Lebanese food, but overall it was decent. There was a big screen on which football was streaming, in case some people are interested. Book a table maybe start of a day if you want to get the lagoon-side table. We were there on Wed evening and it got a fuller house outside when nearing 8. (Pictures taken with Samsung Galaxy Flip3)

My experience was beautiful. I had been here before but wanted to go again before I give my feedback. The attention to details was a welcome change from the "anyhowness" I've gotten one too many times from so-called high-end restaurants. I went for foods I'm familiar with but also asked the recommendations of our waiter. He was polite and quite knowledgeable. I don't know who trains the waiters here but they need to roll out their customer service training to the rest of the service industry. The waiter was very helpful, polite and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant! I ordered a cocktail that had too much amaretto and was ready to leave it and order something else. However the waiter spoke to who I assume was one of the managers and they changed it for me without charge. I recommend this place when you want food and service different from the norm.....a cultural boost. Not everytime jollof rice, sometimes hummus and Naan 😁 Oh yea, hands down the best hummus in Lagos!

I liked the food I ordered. All the meat options were spiced appropriately (not hot with pepper but very far from bland). The stuffed kibbeh balls were drier than I liked. I solved this by dipping in garlic and pepper sauce. Pita + hummus = ❤️ I also tried the flatliner shot (tequila, tabasco, sambucca). I liked the front tastes but the after taste can be a bit cough syrup-y. You can ask the waiter to split your bill if you're a big group. Not a lot of ramps at this location.

It’s quite easy to locate though when you follow the map. It feels like a hidden gem 💎. Atmosphere and space very cool . The view is lit 🔥 especially when you are seated by the pool side. Went there with a group of friends and we had a swel time . Food was tasty , it was real Lebanese cuisine 😁, almost everything we ordered except drinks were very meaty and carby. We ordered some sea food to offer some balance to the meal. Space is very nice for informal meetings , dinner dates or even lunch . FYI , Parking space assigned to salmas is very small though . Overall , I’d surely visit again .

The name says it all. Salma offers authentic Lebanese dishes. The meals are awesome, good ambience and a great place for couples, as well as groups. Be prepared to spend big as it's averagely pricey. Nevertheless, it's a great restaurant and highly recommended, also for expats.

Nice ambiance & outdoor pool vibes. The staff were helpful and friendly. Food was brought in good time and it tasted great! Genuinely authentic Lebanese food. Not too difficult to locate - just that it’s in the same building/compound with other cafes/restaurants.

Good Ambience inside and by pool side. Lagoon view on the outside makes it quite serene. Courteous staff. Service a bit slow even for drinks like beer.. Food was ok. Would have appreciated if pickles were served with our orders.. (which every other Lebanese restaurant does) over all had a nice time.

Izanagi is a nice and cosy restaurant, nice scenery for pictures, lots of flowers around, the staff are mostly Nigerians, they have iPad menu as well as physical menu, the food is a bit costly, it’s purely Japanese, it’s taste delightful, the portions are just okay and not a lot... The tempura cheese cake and the berry drink was The highlight of the night There’s available parking space. I’ll give it a 4.8/ 5 in all good food and great vibes

Perfect for a romantic dinner with your spouse. It also has a nice view of the street. Serene ambience, classy music. Amiable staff. What's not to love about this place. Their cuisine was delightful to say the least. And not just speaking in glowing terms for the sake of it. The all-round experience gave one that lighthearted feeling of soaring in the air. The price is fair and you should take your spouse there for a nice evening treat. You'll be experiencing The Orient without going to the Far East. Excellent!

I ordered ahead so I could pickup. The entire process went smoothly, from ordering via WhatsApp to picking up. Food was neatly packed and arrange and no mistake was made with the orders. Food was tasty and authentic. To really enjoy a variety and sample many options it's advisable to do so with at least 4 people or more, this will help ensure the prices don't feel too high. Note :- VAT and consumption taxes are applied even if you are not eating at the restaurant.

Really good Mediterranean food, the waiter recommended the Arayess kafta and it had me wondering why i had never tried it. The ambiance had a nice homely feel of a restaurant I’ll go with my family. The meat sambousek was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely recommend

  • 3/5 Gary R. 2 years ago on Google
Nice setting, unfortunately I had a mixed grill which was pre cooked not cooked to order, the vines were from a jar and the garlic sauce was like a manaise. I bit dissatisfied as being lebonese I exspected pride in the dishes. Any how I would recommend but please ask to have the food cooked fresh. Also if you sit on the pool terrace you can watch the staff playing messing about in the serving area

  • 3/5 Adejoke O. 2 years ago on Google

The food was delicious. For someone who doesn't like sea food, I enjoyed their Salmon and Lebanese style rice. Also, their sauce was perfect. Their ginger mocktail was well made. The staff was courteous, service was prompt and general good vibes. I'll definitely go back.

First time here. I will say it was love at first sight. They have different seating areas, there are about two compartments in the main building, which I learned are non-smoking rooms. The outdoor overlooking the lagoon with seats arranged around a pool is a designated smoking area. This is also have nice view. Food is also superb though pricey.

Salma's never ceases to impress. The service is excellent. The waiters are quite smart and polite. The manager comes to say hello. You are continuously asked if everything is OK. Can't fault it at all. From the moment you walk in until you leave, the service is awesome. Had the kofta, home made houmous and tabule washed down with a glass of red wine

  • 4/5 Jurgita V. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful venue with a lot of Lebanese classics on the menu. Fish and grills were great, but some of starters and salad was definitely to heavy on lemon, almost felt that it was marinating in it for too long. Nevertheless I hope to come back and work out a list of my favourites from the menu. Thank you

My lovely food It’s amazing Came here for a business dinner. Really liked the place. The food here was super fantastic and it was authentic Lebanese as well. The taste was fabulous and the drink Shapman was tasty as well. Whoever is in Lagos and is looking for authentic Lebanese food, this place is a must go. Enjoy guys

The ambience is great. Food is just as good too. Their a la carte service is impressive; irrespective of what you order, it is ready within a short time. They are unapologetic Lebanese and it shows even in the music choices. A solid 7/10.

Very good and central location. Ambient atmosphere and efficient waiters and servers. The reception is courteous and the rest rooms are the best I have seen around. You can be rest assured of a peaceful relaxing time if you ever over indulge in the delicacies. Will recommend for a day out. Stay indoors as the lagoon is extremely dirty and can be a distraction to a beautiful place.

Had lunch with my friends and honestly enough of Lagos restaurants with aesthetics and poor service. My friends got there before me and we literally had to beg them to take my order. The food came quick tho. We decided to move outside because you could barely have a good conversation inside the noise was too much. We requested to move and the waiter honestly wanted me to carry my food myself! In a restaurant, I was very shocked! I asked him to help carry the food and drinks outside since we were moving out and he laughed like I asked for something huge then said he was just helping me ooo it’s not his job. What a joke. Service outside was terribly bad, we had to leave because it wasn’t even worth it. No crowd control. Just aesthetic. Highly do not recommend.
