Location is the USP. As it’s located at one end of Copacabana beach, you have view of entire beach from the room. Reception staff was also pretty helpful. Shout out to Julia for being very helpful. Service was pretty great. As mentioned in most of the reviews, the flooring in rooms is worn out. Pros: - Hotel across the beach. - overall service at restaurants, room service etc. was good. - Good food and drinks at Isabella and Clari - Housekeeping was good. Cons: - Lobby is pretty average. Does not compare to US Hilton locations. - Rooms are alright. Flooring need attention. As it’s worn out, it feels like entering a very normal hotel room rather than Hilton.

The hotel itself is very nice, when we visited it was full and this led to some issues with full elevators at checkout/check-in times. Otherwise elevators were fine. Location is very good just across from the beach and they have dedicated staff at the beach to provide umbrellas. The separate check-in process since I am Platinum was very nice . The major issue we had was that the room was not clean, there were easily visible dirt marks on the floor as well as in the shower. I doubt the floor had seen a web mob for a while and judging by the dust under the bed it had probably not been checked by management for a while either

This is one of the best hotels in terms of location, furnishings, lobby area, staff, food, rooms, beds, bathrooms, security, etc. The rooftop bar is great, and breakfast is plentiful. I don't usually eat at hotels' restaurants because I like to explore other restaurants. But the food looks good by the photos they have in the lobby area and in the elevator a. Concierge is extremely helpful, and is not their to push products. That is great as well. If you have any kind of elite status then they go out of their way to accommodate the benefits of those elite programs. I have found that many Hilton hotels, for one reason or the other, tend to have "exceptions" to what is promised, but not this hotel. They have embraced the benefits of the elite programs, and go to extra lengths for guests to want to strive to maintain their elite status. Their free two hours long happy hour is example of that commitment. If you're not that hungry for the night then this happy hour will provide you enough delicious food to skip the big dinner. 😁 They are located at a very good spot right in front of the world famous Copacabana beach. They provide you beach chairs and towels. Also, as far as location, lots of businesses are located in walking distance, such as, DHL, electrical supply stores, convenient stores, restaurants, tour operators, etc. Well done to the management, and the staff. I'm delighted to return again and again.

My daughter and I just spent seven days at the Hilton in Copacabana. It was a lovely hotel with lots of amenities. The staff were all amazing about helping us navigate the city of Rio de Janeiro and making us feel welcome. It was very clean and organized. Everything was labeled so that we could navigate easily. We especially enjoyed the heated rooftop pool. I would definitely stay here again.

This Hilton property was phenomenal!! Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in helping us when we had questions. The pools, bar, restaurant, and room itself were all exceptional. This hotel is in close proximity to major restaurants and tourist attractions in Copacabana and was a great pick up spot for various excursions. We had to get COVID tested prior to departure and a nurse physically came to the resort and performed the test without us having to go anywhere. The results were available within an hour. Overall, if you are looking for comfort, safety, and a friendly atmosphere, this is your place.

This is NOT a 5-star hotel. It might’ve been in the 70s, but now it’s outmoded and should remodel the entire building. I would rate it a 3-star hotel. The room’s bathrooms get clogged easily, the shower seems like it's 50 years, and the breakfast buffet is disgusting. The bed is very comfy, and the location is excellent. Other than that, I don’t have any other positive feedback. This is a 545 room hotel with 37 floors, and it only has 6 elevators. The average time of wait for the elevators is 10+ minutes, and trust you won’t like to take the stairs if you’re in the 15+ floor rooms. I honestly hate to leave bad reviews, but as a diamond member of Hilton Honors, I was very disappointed with this hotel. The rooftop pictures are a catfish. It’s extremely small and the pictures make it feel MUCH more glamorous. Additionally, the buffet had lots of options but the eggs were undercooked and I really didn’t want to eat anything after 250+ people had touched the same spoon at the buffet. If the hotel gets completely updated, it would be perfect.

This is a nice Hilton property in a prime location with some really prime views. We were very happy with our room here in this property. The room was clean, check in was fast, the bed was comfortable and included some nice amenities as well. Breakfast each morning has been great with a ton of options and very nice staff. The roof top bar is really nice with amazing views both day and night time. We also took advantage of the executive lounge access which hosted a daily happy hour that was nice as well. This is a nice spot to stay in Copacabana.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. Way better than other hotels by the beach. Location was a bit shady, but then it's Rio... You're right at the popular beach full of tourists. Check in with Patrícia was amazing, she knows really well how to interact with guests and was incredibly pleasant with us. Nothing was too much trouble, she's a star. Our room was large, well furnished and had a great view. The bathroom was a bit dated but still much better than other 5 star hotels around the beach. Great views from the rooftop pool and bar, really busy up there with a heated pool. The other pool on the 4th floor was a bit quieter and had the perfect temperature. Great service in the lounge, Fernanda noticed we were vegetarians and offered to bring some veggie food for us, another example of great customer service, very classy. I would definitely return to this Hilton if I'm in Rio again, well done.

Excellent location, we had corner room on fifth floor and had excellent view of the beach. Hotel provides seating on the beach. Food at 4 th floor and top floor both was good. They have reserve sitting for Hilton gold and diamond members. Food spread was good . It's busy breakfast as hotel is big. Only problem we had was key not working multiple times. And no drinking water in the room. We took our supplies from executive lounge Evening snacks at lounge had good spread

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. The staff was wonderful and the room was great! I really appreciate them arranging a COVID-19 test as well. The concierge was super helpful and the staff spoke very good English. If you are traveling to Rio, this is the place to stay!

Great view of the beach, spacious rooms, comfy beds except rain water was leaking from windows. Free beach chairs & towels on the beach. Super convenient location in nicer area & many restaurants within minutes of walking distance. Go to 39 floor roof top bar for fantastic view. You won’t be disappointed.

I stayed at the Hilton and unfortunately had a terrible experience our last day there at the rooftop with the manager, waiter, lifeguard, and bartender. While my husband was trying to take pictures of me, the disgusting looks we received were completely unacceptable. It is disheartening that the staff did not uphold the expected level of professionalism. In a hospitality setting, particularly, ensuring the comfort and safety of guests, especially women, should be a top priority. Disapproving looks and discomfort should never be part of the experience, and it's crucial for the hotel to address and improve on this aspect for the well-being of all guests. We spent two weeks in Brazil, including a visit to Tomorrowland, and I must admit, I have never felt more disrespected than I did at the Hilton. Fortunately, I spoke up at the front desk during our checkout, and I want to express my gratitude to the lady who listened attentively. She made me feel understood and emphasized the importance of supporting one another. On a positive note, the location is good, and the front desk staff consistently displayed exceptional service with a great attitude. A big thank you to them. The room service was also amazing, and I appreciate their consistent respectfulness. While the rooftop experience was disappointing, the efforts of the front desk and room service teams were commendable.

Spent some time at the Hilton Copacabana. Super comfortable rooms, air-conditioning was quiet and cold. The view was spectacular. The Isabel lounge on the roof had great food. It's a super chill spot to hang out and have a drink, or put on the suit and get in the pool, relax and make some new friends. The included breakfast was amazing, too many choices to list. also the executive lounge is a great choice for light bites and a few drinks.

Overall, this feels like a very nice but slightly worn down hotel. The location is just by the beach and many rooms have an excellent view. The breakfast is good and so is the service. However, it is overall beginning to feel slightly worn down. Also, there were some minor nuisances such as noise from the elevators and a broken bedside lamp. And you could tell that sustainability was not a top priority (eg. lots of disposable containers and soap etc and old fashioned power consuming light bulbs). But considering the price we paid I have to say it was good value for money.

We loved our stay here. The view was amazing, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the executive lounge was a great perks, the pools were nice and breakfast was amazing. The hotel has chairs , towels and umbrellas ready for guests at the beach. Thank you to the staff and most especially Rita and Patricia in the executive lounge, you were fabulous.

Save your $$ and stay at the Windsor Leme, the rooms are bigger, cleaner, and overall much higher quality. The breakfast is also far superior. I was so disappointed to stay at this “5 star” hotel which felt like a 3 star at best. Everything cost more here but the Windsor is truly superior. Sadly it was booked for our last night here but I’ll never stay at a Hilton again. Truly disappointing experience, I could go on and on about the differences but trust me, not worth the money. Extremely small rooftop impossible to get a spot, long wait times at elevators, etc. See photo: we spilled water with minutes of entering room. This is how clean the floor was in one small area. Like they’ve never moped the floor. 😝👎🏻

I stayed three nights. Hot water was not coming in shower. I may have called 10 times and even told personally at reception desk. Their tech people could not fix it. The room temperature was staying at 18 even I set it to 24 or 32. Reception desk folks did not responded and not even offer me another room. Location is very bad. People are looting. You have to be very careful of your phone, jewelry. They have tour desk and their computer keyboard is not working.

It all started with a brilliant check in experience, thank you Julia! The room has an incredible view and the bed is so comfortable. I’m delighted with this hotel. P.S. if you want bacon at breakfast just ask!

Our experience in this hotel was not so good. For a Hilton you expect better quality. The rooms were just acceptable, but the bathrooms are extremely old, my friends bathroom had a broken shower “fixed” with tape and humidity and water coming in o the floor out of nowhere. Our bathroom’s wc was old and broken too. We had light cuts at least 5 times during a 3 days stay. The service is not that good, only a few persons of the staff were nice (specially the breakfast staff was really nice and diligent). We tried to go to the spa and the jacuzzis were extremely old, dirty and rusty and the jets didn’t work, so basically a dirty pool. The o my good point was the rooftop pool which was really nice and the breakfast was amazing. Overall I do not recommend this hotel since it’s extremely outdated.

My sister and I had a great stay during our time at the Hilton. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and respectful. At one point my hotel phone wasn’t working and within a minute someone was at my door checking what I needed! Also they have so many spa and beauty services like eyebrow threading, nail salon, etc. I highly recommend this location for a stay in Rio!

a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view, the staff is very friendly. The only problem is that you need to be careful with your bag and don't carry personal things with you, otherwise they will be stolen in a minute. On this occasion, I would like to thank the Hotel Director for helping us and paying for the taxi for us. All the best to you and your team.

Great location! Amazing rooftop view with pool. But I was quite amazed that they charged for drinking water in the room. Never experienced that before in all my travels.

Great location, great roof top bar/pool. Great food, BBQ at weekends, with enough meat to feed a family for a week 😁 Standard rooms quite small and none were of a UK 5* level....good 3* or 4* at best, i.e. no body wash, just shampoo, no slippers or bath robes, or other little "extras" you'd expect I still recommend staying there

The location of the hotel is very good, beachfront, close to several restaurants and bars. However the common areas does not cope with the size of the hotel and the quantity of rooms. Despite of the efforts from the staff cues are common to the check in, breakfast and others. As a Hilton Diamond, I didn’t feel any difference in the treatment. Probably not going back.

I was on vacation in Brazil with a group but extended my stay so I could visit Rio for my birthday. My bestie joined me and we were greeted so warmly when we arrived by Julia at the front desk - she even wished me a happy birthday! She made sure we were happy during our stay by actually asking us if we needed anything, if everything is okay... Our room was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfy night's stay. I loved the view of the beach and the fact I could open the window to experience it even more! The hotel's restaurant was very nice and they treated us and all diners as if we were VIPs. The food was excellent and I loved my slice of birthday cake presented afterwards! I definitely recommend this location if you're going to Rio - right on the beach, yet close to shops and transportation. Most of all, the staff and the amenities are A-One!

Prime location, top amenities, and great service. Full spa with jacuzzi, dry sauna and steam room. Room bathroom fixtures were showing very slight signs of age, but well kept and clean. Rooftop lounge has good food, reasonably priced, and an average range of selection.

Right across from the beach, two pools, AMAZING views from the room, great drinks and food...this has it all!! Plus, if you get lucky enough to have Wellington check you in or Sergio serve you for breakfast, you've hit the jackpot! One of THE BEST stays I've ever had. ❤️

Hilton staff are always above par anywhere you are in the world! I have been to many Hilton's in many many locations and this location was no different! Staff that was very detail oriented and of course handled any needs and wants with a smile. Great location, and within walking distance to many needs such as restaurants and convince stores. The windows open slightly to let in the beach breeze and to view activity down below. Two separate pools and a full staffed spa. Bar next to the pool and multiple restaurants inside and close by. Great place for tourists and business men alike. We will be back! Thanks,

Great hotel, very welcoming. We arrived much earlier than check in and were able to store our luggage for the day. Room was clean, with a nice view of the beach and sea. Rooftop pool and bar was incredible, as was the service throughout our stay. Breakfast was the best we had during our trip to LATAM. Hot tubs could do with a clean but otherwise perfect. Thanks for the cake on arrival to celebrate our occasion, much appreciated!

A bit old and worn, but the rooms with a view of Pão de Açúcar are unbeatable. Nice rooftop bar.

Terrible!!! I stayed 3nights 4days. 2nd day they didn't clean up my room. Especially my family member was 5. So we had to reserve 2 rooms. All of the room didn't clean up. I have never experienced before. Worst hotel.

Great views of the beach. Excellent breakfast. Nice warm pool on rooftop. Nice helpful staff, many speak English. Many renovated rooms.

Ok. Little things hurt this place. Getting in my room took about 10 swipes with my key card. Very frustrating. Mini bars not stocked. Outlets are hard to find near the bed. The desk wasn't real usable. No bottle opener in room.

  • 3/5 Mike T. 2 years ago on Google
It is a nice view from the roof but perhaps the price is very very high for holidays. When hotel is at capacity you will struggle with the wait for the elevators they are slow and security was unreasonable sometimes but I understand for safety of guests. Ask about wifi if they disable it for NYE. Finally can you call the rooftop pool an actual pool based on its peculiar size? I'm not so sure...

Hilton hotels are our preferred in europe now in Brazil, due to our positive experience at Hilton Copacabana. Great staff at reception, except for Bruno who had an abrupt manner. Fantastic breakfast, with good organisation, srs Renato and Rangel were absolutely efficient and friendly. Our room had a great sea view. Great holiday Superb hotel 👏👏

This hotel is no way a five star hotel. The most I would give it is a three star. I have stayed at many hotels, including the Hilton, around the world, and they are a lot better than this in this category. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. Furnitures, fixtures, carpet, and even the curtains all need to be updated. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is a across the street from the beach, which is convenient.
