Oh my sweet auntie, this experience was surreal. Bought tickets at the door 3 hours before sunset, went up with water, beer, and snack, then spent the next 3 hours walking around and exploring. We got drinks at one of the restraunts on the top mountain, expensive but what a view. Stayed for sunset, then got a gondola before the sun was all the way gone and got to see an incredible view from the cable car. Some of the viewpoints arw very busy no matter what.

Great place to see from above Rio de Janeiro, also over the intern flights airport. You can climb up to the cliffs by telecabine. From the first stage you can take a helicopter to fly over Rio. From the second stage you have the best view. Both locations have restaurants, coffee shops and shops. Definitely a place to visit when in Rio de Janeiro.

This was an amazing trip and incredibly scenic. The views are just breathtaking. Try to arrange a visit around sunset as it won't be disappointing.

One of the most iconic and beautiful places of Rio de Janeiro. Accessible by 2 cable cars, the Sugarloaf mountain tour gives you breathtaking views, nice walks and excellent restaurants & bars. It was not too crowded in November. The sunset is amazing from the panorama bar!

Really love this place and please do the cable car to get the perfect and most amazing view of the city on top of the sugar loft mountain. It’s really a breathtaking view and makes you appreciate nature. The queue to get to the cable car is always long so it’s advisable to get there early to catch morning sunrise or later in the evening for the evening sun set on any day with amazing weather. There’s a live band playing at the top of the mountain. There’s always a lot of people there so get ready to queue both to and fro from the mountain.

Amazing views and atmosphere. If you’re an adventurous person try hiking up to Morro da Urca and then catch the cable car to go to the top mountain and to get back.

They told us to not waste too much time on the first stop, but go to the second. That's what we did and we even were on the first cable car trip in the morning (8.30) You have the mountain for yourself for 20 minutes. Great view on the whole of Rio! Loved it!

Dont buy the priority pass. Is a tourist trap to pay double. Requests vaccination proof. Lovely environment with magnificent views. Try the camarao empanado at the "jungle bar"

I love this place!🥰 I wholeheartedly recommend visiting the mountain and enjoying the gorgeous views of Rio. It’s great if you get to visit at different times of the day and in different weather! It's magical and unforgettable! And if you have the opportunity to purchase Fast pass ticket, you are lucky! Have a nice time, friends! 🤗

Impressive plant rarities on 54 hectares. Centuries-old trees, colorful flowering bushes, orchid collection, etc. This botanical garden is a mecca for biologists, where the average visitor feels like he is surrounded by a fairytale world.

We visited the 2nd week of July at 1630. We bought tickets there. The lines were horrendous and people are eager to get on the gondolas first to secure a good view. If you don't like crowds, I don't recommend going. The waits are horrible. I went with my parents who are both over 60 so we accessed the priority línes which did expedite our access. Major tourist attraction but personally I would not do it again or recommend it. I did not find the views worth the effort of getting on.

This is a must do in Rio. As all tourist activities if you arent local it is expensive. However, this is a must do for the views and the cable car. The views are breathtaking and if you are lucky you can spot a monkey!

If there is one thing one has to do in Rio, it has to be Sugarloaf mountain. This place is out of world and very unique. They are couple of separate mountains close to each other and right by the sea side and beautiful city around and they 400 meters above sea level! Combined that with clear, sunshine weather Rio is blessed with. One can spot copacabana, exquisite views of an airport runway with planes landing and taking off in the backdrop of all these scenes. The restaurant on top of the 2nd hill is pretty good place to sit and have a bite and a coffee !!

Get great views of the beautiful city of Rio and its ocean. Lots of opportunities to take great photos if the weather is right. You will also get an “air show” where you will see commercial airlines make hard banks turns onto the runway. I definitely come in 1st thing in the morning so the lines are much shorter and the crowd is is not congested.

Sugarloaf as we know it is the world famous monolith in Rio de Janeiro and it is amazing and the tram to the top is breathtaking. This is a paradise for photographers and adventure lovers. You have a panoramic view of all of the beaches and the internal settings in the city. 360⁰ of beauty. The tram is very quick and safe. CAUTION hold your ticket tightly for the tram can be windy and you will need it multiple times going up and down.

Beautiful views of the city here up on Rio's landmark mountain. You might even encounter some of the monkeys here and see some of the vultures up close.

Pros: No line on Friday at 10am. Buying the ticket there and getting up took no time at all. Cable cars came quickly both ways so no need to wait longer than a couple minutes. Views are beautiful and there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop up there Cons: $30 is expensive

Beautiful and smooth ride to the top. There is a playground for young children with clean restrooms nearby. Pack some lunch as you can have a mini picnic up there.

Wonderful, just amazing experience, one of the best sunset in the world. Must dl if you visit Rio

  • 4/5 Henry M. 2 years ago on Google
One of my favorite places to visit in Rio de Janeiro. The view is absolutely breathtaking especially for sunset. A little suggestion don't buy your tickets online your tickets online but buy them by them there. Those who buy beforehand will end up waiting longer. The one annoying thing is having to take a picture the picture while waiting online which ends up delaying the process even more. We are going to Sugarloaf to take a picture of the real thing not not a gigantic background photo. You go to the first stone, you can walk down the rest of the way and come out at Praia Vermelha!

Exceptional. A must-go place. View, weather. Plenty of options up there to buy, eat. I strongly recommend to go around 5pm so that you can see sunset and the contrast between day and night in the city from above.

I can't describe how many emotions you can embrace experiencing this stunning view. I traveled around the world a lot and I can tell that Sugar loaf is my number one place on earth. Second place is taking Iguazu falls. Good idea to come on the top of the loaf is evening before the sunset, because about 10-15 minutes after the sun is down sky get this extremely beautiful colors. Highly highly recommend!!!
