My
family
and
I
stayed
at
the
Mayan
Princess
Beach
and
Dive
Resort
for
Thanksgiving,
I
was
not
impressed.
For
what
we
paid,
we
could
have
stayed
in
a
better
place
elsewhere
nearby.
The
staff
was
very
attentive
and
helpful,
the
food
and
accommodations
lackluster.
The
buffet
food
was
bland.
Making
reservations
to
the
“a
la
carte”
restaurants
was
complicated,
every
time
we
tried,
we
were
told
that
there
was
some
sort
of
“special
event”,
we
persisted
and
were
able
to
make
reservations.
One
night
my
son
ordered
a
hamburger
from
the
menu,
five
minutes
later
the
waiter
returned
to
let
us
know
they
had
no
hamburgers
and
that
he
need
to
order
something
else.
Who
doesn’t
have
hamburgers?
At
the
end
of
the
meal
we
asked
for
the
desert
menu;
there
was
no
desert
menu,
we
just
got
up
and
walked
to
the
buffet
to
finish
our
meal.
If
you
like
ice
cream
you
are
out
of
luck,
there
was
no
ice
cream.
If
you
like
deaf
coffee,
expect
“instant”
decaffeinated
coffee.
If
you
like
tea,
there
is
only
black
and
green
tea;
no
regular
decaffeinated
tea,
no
herbal
tea
of
any
kind.
The
beach
in
front
of
the
hotel
is
beautiful.
Relaxing
on
the
beach
is
close
to
impossible;
as
soon
as
you
get
close
you
will
be
approached
by
somebody
trying
to
sell
you
t-shirts,
excursions,
massages
or
braid
your
hair.
Some
highlights
from
our
beach
front
room.
It
took
three
trips
to
the
front
desk
and
back
to
the
room
until
they
were
able
to
sort
out
the
keyless
access
to
the
room
and
internet
service.
The
shower
door
in
my
bathroom
was
missing
a
handle.
The
shower
water
pressure
was
low,
the
water
tasted
bad.
There
was
a
gallon
of
spring
water
in
our
refrigerator,
we
used
this
to
brush
our
teeth
and
rinse
toothbrushes.
The
mechanical
equipment
is
located
right
next
to
the
primary
bedroom,
the
air
handler
fan
is
blasting
on
the
background
none
stop.
The
hotel
doesn't
even
have
a
gym.
