A
very
odd
experience.
The
owner(?)
an
Australian
lady
"served"
us.
She
gave
the
impression
she
didn't
want
to
talk
to
us
and
reacted
very
strangely
when
we
tried
to
talk
to
her.
It
all
seemed
very
tense,
as
if
she
didn't
want
us
there
in
the
cafe.
We
ordered
our
drinks
and
cake,
which
were,
granted,
a
better
offering
than
most
other
cafes
in
the
area,
but
not
so
out
of
this
world
that
the
owner
could
look
down
at
her
customers.
And,
when
served
with
a
side
of
bad
attitude,
it
bittered
the
taste.
The
toilet
was
occupied
for
well
over
15
minutes,
and
when
I
mentioned
to
the
lady
that
she
should
check
if
the
person
is
ok
in
the
bathroom
(we
needed
to
use
it
at
this
point),
she
retorted
"well
it's
one
of
my
employees
and
they
can
do
what
they
want",
I
didn't
think
this
snide
remark
was
justified:
A)
Treating
all
customers
like
this
will
drive
them
away,
and
without
paying
customers
you
don't
need
employees.
B)
If
your
employees
are
spending
this
long
in
the
bathroom,
they
are
either
ill
or
tired,
or
both,
and
should
not
be
at
work.
C)
You
don't
actually
need
to
speak
to
people
like
this
to
get
your
point
across.
She
came
across
very
aloof
and
snooty,
as
if
she
thought
she
was
better
than
us.
It
was
very
evident
from
the
exchange.
Also,
it's
worth
noting
that
the
owner
also
hugged
and
kissed
her
dog,
without
washing
her
hands
after.
Not
the
most
hygienic
of
practises
in
a
food
based
environment.
Maybe
she
was
having
a
bad
day,
but
it
definitely
meant
we
had
a
bad
experience
at
this
place.
I'm
sorry,
but
I
would
definitely
avoid
this
place
if
I
was
to
come
back
to
Roatan,
as
we
still
talk
about
this
experience
as
one
of
our
worst
customer
experiences
ever.
