After not gathering with family for 2 years, Turtle Beach Dive Resort was the perpect place for our group of 7 to reunite. It is conveniently located on a quiet stretch of beach between the popular West Bay and West End areas. While we enjoyed visiting the restaurants and tourist mobs at West Bay, and West End was such an interesting place to wander and enjoy a Monkey LaLa at a beachside bar, getting back to the tranquility at Turtle Beach was bliss. A few of our group went diving with Clearwater, a few steps from the resort, which was an other-worldly experience. We all snorkelled right out front and by the mermaid, spectacular, and we made good use daily of the kayaks and paddleboards supplied by the resort. Paul arranged a sloth visit with 15 minutes notice, as well as a day visit to Little French Key. Our favorite experience was a 6 hour boat, beach and snorkelling tour with Big John and his kids, such a great guy and very informative about the island, history and culture! The lobster tails we bought from the "fish guy" in the parking lot and grilled at the central kitchen were also fabulous. We really appreciated Laurie's quick response to all of our pre-vacation questions and for organizing the whole shebang and it was super reassuring to have Paul, Mary, and the gang right at Turtle Beach to answer any of our questions, cater to our needs, and organize tours, airport transport (with Rigo, the best), dinner reservations, covid tests, etc. The accomodations were quite comfortable, extremely clean, and each villa (we had 3), were well supplied to meet your needs. We were in awe of the design and layout of the resort, and the attention to detail along the steps and paths with beautiful stone and wood carvings, all set to the spectacular ocean views and backdrop. We usually prefer to explore different vacation destinations, but this one's a keeper, I was planning my return before we had even departed.

Looking for an experience of a life time? This is your place. Extremely accommodating and friendly, Paul, Rosa, and the rest of the Turtle Beach crew take care of you from the second you land in Roatan. Providing a ride with a grocery store run is just the beginning of the experience. Upon arrival you will find yourself tucked away along the beach in some of the most beautiful cabins on the coast. The crew is available to help you with anything ranging from questions, honest recommendations, or item acquirement. We stayed in the Monkey Lair and loved every second of the stay. Even though they’re tucked in the jungle, the place is kept spectacularly pristine. If you’re looking for room service, drinks handed too you on the beach and a resort experience Turtle Beach is not for you. But if you’re looking for a comfortable, safe and trustworthy place to stay centrally located to anything and everything adventurous Turtle Beach is the spot! Would recommend to my friends and family. Will return! Thank you again Turtle Beach!

Our stay at Turtle Beach was wonderful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the full kitchen allowed us to make a ton of our own meals. The property is beautiful - I especially loved the macaws! Paul and the rest of the staff were all great. The best part is the location. It’s close to both west end and west bay but out of the hustle and bustle. It’s so peaceful and quiet but still accessible to everything we needed. We loved our trip!

Turtle Beach was the best! Anything we needed, we simply asked Paul or a member of the staff, and it happened immediately. The location is perfect- a few minutes by boat to West End or West Bay, just far enough away that when you are at your villa, it is totally relaxing and peaceful. If you want to go diving, Clearwater Adventures is right next door. We had a fabulous time diving with them, and especially if you are new to diving, I recommend them for their excellent instructors. The only reason I wouldn’t give both these places five stars is because I don’t want so many people to discover them it will make it crowded the next time I go there, but honestly, there is no better place to be on the island. That being said, if you are the type that wants someone in an Official Resort Uniform to come out and offer you a massage and cold drinks with little umbrellas in them while you recline in a chair on the beach, you probably ought to go to one of the big fancy resorts. At Turtle beach, if you want to use one of the sea kayaks to paddle down to West Bay for the afternoon, you just take one and go - they are waiting for you at the water’s edge. Snorkeling gear the same - it’s like you own the place and have a staff that sees to all the details.

Turtle Beach was amazing. We stayed in the Whale, everything was perfect - clean, well-kept, well-stocked. The central outdoor kitchen was a wonderful feature, and perfect as a communal gathering spot or a place to cook dinner and eat by the pool. The hosts, Laurie and Steve, that were there in our week were outstanding . They were responsive to any questions, managed everything smoothly, and were superb at getting guests together for meals, trips to town, or events.

Turtle Beach was absolutely amazing! We stayed in the Lobster Den and it was perfect for our needs. The owner and staff were super nice and helpful. The property is gorgeous, perfect for a romantic get away or friends and family event. The location is directly in between West Bay and West End, both are walk-able if desired or a short, convenient water taxi ride from their dock. The resort has several pools, public bar/grill area, nicely maintained ocean front beach with lounge chairs, dock with hammocks and seating, kayaks and paddle boards. Great snorkeling right off the beach. We will definitely be returning for more visits.

My wife & I stayed here for our entire duration on Roatan. Paul helped us get situated; he & his team were very kind throughout. They always checked in on us to see if we needed anything. Paul gave us the opportunity to go up to the Macaw room to feed the birds, something that you can do regularly when no one is staying there which was pretty neat. The units were comfortable with room to make some food if you’d like or keep some of your drinks refrigerated. The A/C units were definitely nice to control the humidity. There are two pools & an observation deck if you’re looking to lounge around, or you can walk to their dock. They provide standup paddle boards & kayaks, which we used to traverse the beach. If you have back issues like me, the kayak lumbar support is pretty minimal so maybe SUP boarding would be better—the water is pretty mellow. They have snorkeling gear, but we did not use them so can’t comment. The unit is pretty close to West Beach & West End. While there are warnings signs as you walk to west end, we walked it 10+ times without any issues. However, you can take a water taxi if you need (Paul recommended big John). In general, we could walk 5-15 minutes to grab breakfast, lunch, dinner or drinks throughout our stay. Furthermore, excursions either picked us up at the resort or we were able to walk to West Beach to meet the group.

I love it at Turtle Beach Dive Resort! I’ve stayed twice now. It’s beautiful, the beach is right there, and they treat you like family! Anything you need just let Paul know and it’s taken care of! The Dive shop is a 2 minute walk down the beach and you can Snorkel pretty much everyday! We plan on making this a yearly trip!

Our family of 5 just returned from a fabulous week stay at Turtle Beach! It wasn’t our first time in Roatan, but it was our first time staying here and in this location. It was perfect for us — so calm and quiet with BEAUTIFUL views and grounds. We stayed in Mayan, which was very comfortable and well stocked. The boys LOVED playing corn hole and giant Connect 4 … and with Paul’s cutie pie French Bulldog! We dove with Clearwater Adventures, right next door, and their team also couldn’t have been any better. We had some of our top dives ever/anywhere, inc an other worldly night dive. We walked and/or water taxied to West Bay and took the kayaks and SUP to West End. Really nice to visit those busier areas - and then get back to serenity. It was the perfect combination of rest and recreation. Sometimes you need a vacation after a vacation … not after staying at Turtle Beach. They took such thoughtful care that we were able to fully be in the moment and truly make the best memories together. We’re already planning our next trip!

Great rooms and every ammenity you might need! And staff is awesome. Location is just hard to get to, but almost every resort is as well. This one is right on the beach and suited us well!

Everything was perfect about the location, service, room, right on the beach with lovely pool, beautiful landscape and kayaks were perfect to take out to the reef to snorkle. Paul took care of our every little need and exceeded expectations for our vacation. We will absolutely be back

We took our family to Roatan for the first time this summer for a fun new adventure, and also to celebrate our 30 year wedding anniversary. I can't say enough nice things about the staff and the excellent service they provide at their resort. Everyone was very helpful, casual and friendly. We stayed at the Mayan Villa, which we highly recommend because there is a refreshing pool in front of the villa with an amazing view. The grounds are kept very clean and all the beautiful plants and architecture will leave you speechless! Whether you are a diver, love to snorkel or just want a tropical island to kick back on and enjoy the scenery, Turtle Beach Dive Resort is an excellent choice for your stay!

This was my second trip to Turtle Beach and I rebooked for February 2025 before I left. The location is incredible. A short water taxi ride to either West End or West Bay makes finding access to restaurants and activities super easy. You can also walk to both locations as well. The villas at the resort are well appointed and very comfortable. You might find more modern posh accommodations, but you're also going to pay significantly more. This place is a tremendous value!

Start to Finish it was an honor to be part of the family, and that is exactly how Laurie and Steve made us feel. Steve and Laurie were there for all our needs day and night, literally at times lol. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly, they attended to our every need, even when we told them not to worry about it, lol. They were amazing! Laurie and Steve made sure we had all the contact info for transports, excursions, knew the best places to eat, and were always there for us if we needed supplies or a grocery trip! The villas, were amazing, beautifully crafted, and overlooking the ocean, they had wonderful breezes and warm sun, plus the luxury of AC when we got overheated. The pools were always kept beautifully, clean and crisp, not to mention the family style meal cooked up by our hosts Steve and Laurie in the outdoor communal kitchen! Rosa was amazing and came by every day to make sure we had towels, linens, etc. and took care of our laundry, which with 9 kids they seemed to go through in like 2 days. We took advantage of all that they had to offer and have absolutely no regrets. This was no doubt one of the top trips we have ever had, and we will absolutely be back! The location was perfect, right between west bay and west end so it was a nice walk or water taxi ride, which picked us up right at the resort dock, to either location. That goes for the excursions as well, most were able to pick us up right at the dock, and if not Laurie and Steve made sure to help us figure it out. Absolutely the most perfect spot on the beach! Lori, Steve, and Paul are wonderful hosts. The villas are extremely nice with very comfortable beds. The staff are so friendly. Rosa and Maria cooked guests a lovely meal. All of our needs were met above what was expected. The beach is just steps away. Water taxis are available right off the dock, to either West End or West Bay. Could not have asked for a more perfect vacation!
