Absolutely brilliant stay in the bunkhouse and oak cottage. The accommodation was very clean and new and a great size for our get together. We loved every minute. Thank you Nigel!

Oak Cottage. Home from home. Lovely, peaceful cottage. Everything you need, lovely 2 bedrooms both with ensuites, kitchen, lounge and dining area. Location very quiet and a great getaway, lots of country walks from the doorstep. 5 min drive (or 20 min walk) to tram stop in Milnrow village, to head into Manchester. Lovely village, lots of eating choices, various village shops including chemist and Post office. Morrisons supermarket nearby. Great hosts, Nigel greeted us with a friendly welcome on first day with fresh milk and lovely biscuits. Hosts live on site (working farm), only a phone call away if needed. There are other stay options, including a bunk house, ideal for a group or large family stay. Highly recommend! Great stay, looking forward to visiting again.

Cottage: Excellent comfortable and surprisingly spacious accomodation within walking distance of Hollingworth Lake. Various accomodation units available. Well kept, furnished and equipped. Very friendly and helpful owners. Access to the property is via country lane the road surface of which is agricultural as you might imagine complete with pot holes, puddles, uneven surface.

My first stay at Annis Hill Farm was the night after Storm Arwen, when the electricity was cut in the area. Nigel could not have done more to make sure the Cart Shed accomodation was warm and welcoming for our arrival, and although we had to find alternative accommodation for nights 2 and 3 of our stay we decided to leave the 2 nights for another visit. That was this week, when I was upgraded to the Oak House accomodation, which shared the same quality of fixtures and fittings as the Cart Shed. Spacious, comfortable and fully equipped, it's an impressive property. I will definitely stay here again on my quarterly visits to the area!

I recently enjoyed a very relaxing, peaceful and rejuvenating break at at Annis Hill, over the bank holiday. The location is breathtaking. I walked to Hollingworth Lake through the quiet country lanes only meeting the horses that grazed on the land and a very friendly cat. The accommodation was modern, spacious and immaculately clean. The bedding was super luxurious and the views spectacular. Driving down the long, private road to get there, completely off the beaten track I knew I was going to be able to chill out, exercise and have a magical getaway! A classy place to stay when you want privacy, luxury and magnificent natural scenery.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean, well equipped and friendly owners. Lovely walks. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for 6 months after a leak at our home. Perfect stay and a very good location. The family who owns and runs the accommodation are one of the nicest families in the area

The road in maybe a bit pot holes, but its well worth the effort, good nights sleep guaranteed 👍
