BLOCK HOUSE Mannheim

I recently visited Block House Mannheim and ordered the Mr. Rumpsteak. The steak was nicely cooked, and the baked potato with sour cream sauce was decent, though not exceptional. The salad with French dressing was fresh but nothing particularly special. However, the overall experience was good—the atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was okay. The food was enjoyable. It is a solid option.

Before going to the restaurant, I have read the reviews here and got a bit reticent because there were many mentions to the price and size of the dishes. It totally worth it going to check by myself! The size of the dishes is described on the menu, so it shouldn’t be a surprise! The service was outstanding! Although the waiter couldn’t speak english, as soon he noticed english was better to communicate with us, he asked to a colleague that spoke a perfect english do the service for our table! She was really friendly, sympathetic and nice during the entire dinner! As we were in 2, she suggested a size option for the meat that wasn’t in the menu and would be sufficient to split between us! The salad, meat, side dishes were really good! The meat was tasty, well prepared, the way I expected! The desert was also really good, with an amazing chocolate fudge over the lava cake! My only suggestion would be that in hot day, such when we went, it could be served with an ice cream ball instead of cream. The environment was also really great, and as I commented, it was a really hot day, therefore, would be nice to have the AC colder, but totally comprehensible that it wasn’t! About the price: to be honest, after reading the comments here I was expecting to spend more than 100 euros for the couple, but surprisingly i spent only 80 with desert and sodas included! From my point of view, a really nice cost benefit considering the service, environment and quality of the food! I do recommend and for sure will be back soon!

The staff is great. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile. A warm atmosphere. It's like you ate there last week and everyone remembers you. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The food and especially the level of cooking of the meat is great. Recommended 👏🏻

I don't get the glowing reviews. For my family of four, none of us were impressed. The ribeye was VERY fatty and tough, tenderloin bland and salmon was nothing special. Especially fir the price we were really disappointed. Server was very nice and attentive. Would not go back personally.

Food was great, everything had its own taste even the fries were tasty. The waiter was a bit overwhelmed but did his job nonetheless and was friendly. Kids got their coloring paper which was big along with some Crayolas. Waiting time for the meals was a bit long but it was good enough since the food was great. Just found it weird that "Hamburgers" didn't really have buns for it, just the garlic bread they tend to give hahaha.

Service was quick and friendly - top notch. The burger was a bit dry and needed more salt. From the images I was expecting a crisp, slightly toasted bread, but it was quite soggy. The coleslaw was great. Judging by the pictures from other guests, which has better melted cheese and better-looking bread, maybe the chef had a bad day?

My friend and I visited Block Steak House in Mannheim today, and we left feeling very satisfied. We started with the Bruschetta, which was fresh and flavorful – a perfect light beginning to our meal. For our main course, we both opted for the "Mr. Steak," and it certainly lived up to its name. The steak was cooked exactly as requested, tender, and incredibly tasty. You could tell the quality of the meat was excellent. Beyond the delicious food, the service truly stood out. Our server was exceptionally polite and friendly, making us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our visit. Their attentiveness added significantly to our positive experience. If you're looking for a reliable steakhouse in Mannheim with delicious food and welcoming service, Block Steak House is definitely worth a visit. We'll certainly be considering a return trip!

Very satisfied with both the service and the taste of the food. The steak was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The beer was great as well. Highly recommend! When the restaurant became crowded, the waiter politely asked if we could move to the bar area. In return, they offered complimentary desserts and drinks. It was completely understandable, and I was impressed by how well they handled the situation. They took excellent care of their customers while managing the business flawlessly.
