Good old American type place.... Inexpensive food, great atmosphere, oldies playing, play set for the kids, shaded tables to sit at... $1.40 for a small cone with 4 swirls.... What a value. Love this place, love it! Great times, great cheap but tasty food, great memories. Plenty of parking on both sides. Tables in front and more tables in back near the play area, and more tables scattered throughout the grass.

This place is a real gem! Amazing ice cream and burgers too! The owners are very involved in the community and lots of days you will find a cool event taking place there. From music to pet adoptions to car shows, always a good time and great food👍

Ive loved this place for years. They are very active in the community. Probably 15 years ago they had an adopt your best friend day with the humane society or the animal shelter on site. I got a beautiful Irish Setter we named Amber. That was my first time going to Blue Sky. Ive been going by there every chance I get when I'm in the neighborhood ever since. Tonight They had their annual trunk or treat for the kids. It was almost a come full circle time. I brought my 10 year old daughter the first time I came there. Tonight I brought her 2 kids to trunk or treat. It was SO NICE! Plenty to see and do and the people were very nice. I heard they even gave a free scoop to the kids in costume!

Fantastic Americana at it's finest. Lynn the owner was extremely friendly, as was everyone here. I've driven by the Blue Sky Ice Cream and it was my loss for not stopping sooner. Bought burgers and fries for a 4 man line crew and nothing was left, they chowed it all down like Ravenous animals. Thursday is the collector car day and night, so feel free to bring your pride and joy, and your family. Lynn also has rescued dogs that roam the grounds, but don't beg for for food, just a hey how ya doin. So don't drive by stop in for an excellent burger that's a cross between a slider and a regular burger, a little larger than white Castle, and much higher grade of beef, and Ice Cream. Call during winter because they close when the real cold sets in.

Such a delight to see a place that not only has great ice cream treats but great food too. The staff are very hard working and try to get your food out as fast and tasty as possible! Do yourself a favor and check them out!

I came in for the first time today while on my lunch break. I used to drive by a the time on my way to Arby’s never knowing they had food and not just ice cream. They made me the best chicken sandwich I have had thus far in life. The service was great the vibe was great and overall I’m just very proud of you all like a father would be. A father that loves chicken sandwiches. I will be back, I actually want one right now as I’m typing this .

This place is so cute. I love the outdoor ordering and the quaint small town vibe. It is such a gem. The Oreo milk shake was awesome, we wanted to go back and get a second one but had to stop ourselves lol. The cheeseburgers were slider size, salty but good. The chili cheese dog was good too

This place is just ok. If you like really good ice cream, you will be disappointed. The prices are good, but you don't get anything great for what you're paying for. Side note: Me and 2 of my friends got food poisoning here from the burgers, so use caution if you think you want a burger from here. I'm still giving this place 3 stars though because I think its a nice family place and the car shows on Thursday are really fun.

Burgers are delicious Huge bag of French Fries 🍟 our Doggie loved the dog Ice cream it came w little dog bone cookie treats . The chairs in the yard w the shade perfect for a warm summers day . And even some friendly Roosters 🐓 wandering around crowing . Definitely will be back . Go get some Burgers and Ice cream the southern burger is my fav. W BBQ sauce and onion rings sooo Good !!!

This place is a fantastic choice to eat, especially if you like to support local businesses. They have quite a selection of ice cream treats to choose from, and you can easily customize them. I got a chocolate tornado and asked for hot fudge, caramel, and crushed Oreos. It was as tasty as it sounds, and the portion size was impressive (size medium). I also ordered the chicken sandwich, which was pretty good. Also... there's a cute little family of chickens living outside! They're a little skittish so you can't pet them, but they're not exactly terrified of people. Lastly, there's a small playground directly next to the building so this is a great choice if you're bringing kids along (just please make sure they don't try to chase the chickens!).

Food is starting to take longer to get. The ice cream when you order seems to never actually have enough of the items you're adding in it. Once you get through the very top layer it's basically just vanilla ice cream. When you pay to add extra and it's still like eating vanilla ice cream it's disappointing. Yes I get it this review makes me sound like a "Karen" but in reality if you go out and pay for something you do it because you wanted it. Not getting what you expect after paying for it will always be a frustrating experience.

I had the cheeseburger with onion rings and BBQ sauce while my husband had the fatty patty I believe. Both were very good along with the side of fries and onion rings. I had a vanilla banana milkshake. We enjoyed our first visit and so did our son at the playground next to the joint. Looking forward to the car show the next time we're in town

The burgers are incredible every single time. My favorite place to get lunch from in the area. Crispy edges, loaded with toppings, the way a slider should be. If you like burgers you are seriously missing out by not trying this place. Wish they stayed open all year, the food is THAT good!

NOT OPEN ON TUESDAYS!!! The ice cream is excellent, the burgers are wonderful. My personal favorite is a large chocolate malted. This place is an icon in the Romulus area. Great local car show on Thursday evenings.

We happened upon this place on one of our drives home from the metropark this summer and glad we did. There was a car show going on so that was cool to see and now our kids ask to go back to see all the awesome cars. The burgers are pretty good and are a decent price. The chili cheese fries are delicious! The ice cream is pretty good too although I wish they mixed up their Tornados a little better. Most of the toppings are at the top and maybe a little bit in the middle if you're lucky. They should also display examples for the sizes of the cones. We ordered kids size cones the last time we went because the small size was too big for our kids the time before and I couldn't believe how tiny they were. I didn't even know there were cones that small. 😆 Overall, it's a nice stop after lots of playing at the park.

This place has great ice cream (especially the shakes). There burgers are awesome to. They even have a small playground in the back for the smaller ones. Highly recommend

Burgers like your dad bought in a bag for 5 bucks when you were a kid...and just as deeelucious!! Fries excellent too! Plenty of picnic tables to sit at....wish it was closer... NEVER HAVE ROOM FOR DESERT. Go ON Thursday for the classic car show at no extra charge😁

This has been my go to ice cream stop for over 3 decades. The best sundaes. Burgers are delicious too! Great place to take the family after a long day for dessert, large menu to choose from.

Very nice place little park for the kids to play in their menu was awesome pleasantly surprised we just got dessert though and I was pleasantly surprised it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg I wish there was a place closer to where I lived but I would suggest go nice place

I've been here multiple times. From burgers for lunch to ice cream for desert, I've never had a bad experience here! I love that they host community events (the trunk or treat has always been my family's favorite). Overall good food & good people! Edit (8/11/22): Came here last night to pick up dinner to take back home for the family. Ordered food and a couple ice cream products. All of the ice cream came out way before the food so it was starting to melt by time we left. The burgers this time around were very soggy and the small chili cheese fries had maybe 5 fries in the container. This was my parents first time eating the food here and they were disappointed.

I came here for the mobile vet clinic, and one of the employees came over (the clinic is in the shade of the trees near the parking lot) to take orders. I wanted to support the business to thank them for letting the vet use their property, so I ordered a burger, and it was less than $2!! It was small (think slider) but still, I couldn't believe the price, and it was delicious too. The employee was super friendly and polite. I would definitely come here again, even not for the vet.

My father and i got bored waiting for my mother to land on her flight at DTW so we decided to drive around. We found this place by chance and it was only about 10 min away from the terminal. We ordered a burger, chilidog and some fries. When I looked at the receipt I was surprised how cheap it was. The food however was very good and the ingredients tasted fresh. The lady taking the order was very nice too. Great laid back setting and good food!

They have an outdoor play area that is great for kids, mine love it. Makes for a nice afternoon/evening ice cream/play adventure. Plenty of picnic tables and chairs to watch the kids play. They have some really good food too.

Good, cheap, fast, family-oriented, nostalgic feelings for summers long gone. There's not enough positive adjectives for me to describe this cute little mom and pop burger joint nestled within a time capsule. There's lots of outdoor seating and lots of shade and grass to picnic on if you'd like. My family of 3 ate lunch for under $20 including a dessert!
