Ellen and Lars are wonderful hosts. Our trip to Andalucia couldn't have started any better. La Escondida is a lovely spot just outside the old town and has an amazing view. Lars and Ellen make sure you have everything you need but also give you space for your private time. The little pool is great for a quick refreshment during a hot summer's day. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

This is an amazing place to stay! My wife and I stayed here this weekend and enjoyed it tremendously. In the heart of old town, this location is only a few minutes’ walk from the Puente Nuevo, any of the scenic lookouts, or the Plaza de Toros de Ronda. The hosts, Lars and Ellen are very warm and welcoming, and provide plenty of notes, maps, hiking routes, and suggestions for things to do to maximize your time. The house is very clean and comfortable, and our AC worked perfectly. This was the best nights’ sleep I got in Spain. The views from the patio and the upstairs rooms are unbelievable. I cannot recommend this place more! PS- parking can be tricky! It’s not La Escondida’s issue but one due to the narrow old streets. Pay attention for the blue ‘P’ for parking sign at El Castillo.

This place can not be recommended highly enough. Don't look any further, there is no better B&B in Ronda. Lovely, caring hosts that make you feel welcome and provide you with abundant information on what to do and where to eat, comfy rooms, beautiful facilities with great views of the Andalucian landscape and a breakfast to die for...

Hi folks, Ellen's & Lars' B&B is really great with a great view and still quiet atmosphere in 5 mins walking distance to all the important sights of Ronda! We had such a wonderful time here with Ellen and Lars! Their B&B is amazing, very cozy, organized, comfortable and warm! Everything is very clean, the room is very quite that I lost the clock to wake up! The breakfast is delicious and they make us feel like we were at home! Exceeded our expectations! We stayed 13th to 20th May. La Escondida is in a remarkable location within the walls of the old Moorish town, with great views from the terrace ( and bedrooms), over the valley to the mountains. Rooms beautifully decorated with pictures and objects from their world travels Ellen and Lars provided excellent breakfasts and invaluable advice on local activities and services ( parking, restaurants, walk, events etc). Thoroughly recommend it

Great place to stay for a short trip or something longer. Ideal hosts and a refreshing breakfast in the morning outside taking in the views. Attention to detail is very apparent.

We enjoyed very much our four days stay! Good atmosphere, super breakfasts, and extraordinary good view from terrace and upper rooms.

Wow! This B&B is phenomenal! Lars and Ellen are fantastic hosts! They speak English which made our stay much easier. Lars had wonderful recommendations for a walk around Ronda and where to go. Also, he helped us make reservations at Casa Maria (restaurant down the hill from the B&B). The breakfast was great - traditional Spanish style breakfast- toasts with homemade jams, ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt, muesli and coffee or tea. I emailed them ahead of time about having Celiac disease - they provided gluten free toast and gluten free yogurt! The B&B has stunning views of the countryside! Breakfast was served in the garden. The plunge pool was great to get into after hiking or biking. There's free wifi Highly recommend staying here!!

Can't say enough good things about this accommodation. It's location in the old town, with the old town walls in the gardens. Room was perfect. Air con. Honesty bar. Plunge pool. Beautifully kept gardens and premises. Ellen and Lars were absolutely lovely and their accommodation is the best in Ronda.
