when the restaurant saw tourists coming they took the opportunity to scam us out of €30 extra euros on an already €200 bill. They charged us €10 for a plate that clearly stated €4 on the menu. They brought a salad, that we said we didn’t want, they said it was free, and then charged €12 euros for it. When i declined a piece of bread which was conveniently €2 extra euros, they put extra on our table we didn’t ask for then charged us for that. Everything was extremely overpriced and came with only a light salad. overall just very sneaky and i would never recommend.

Friendly service, great food. The tomato-salad is amazing, the venison with truffles was tender and juicy. Their own olive oil is one of the best I have ever had. Also the clams were excellent.

I recommend you AVOID this place. The restaurant pretends to be fancy (good service), but the food and its presentation is definetally NOT worth the price. It is basically typical spanish food with very high price tag. I mean - truffle beef with fries? Cmon. You can judge for yourselves if it is worth 20e Absolutely dont recommend

Stop what you're doing and get the Jamón 5 Jotas, right now. This non-vegetarian-friendly experience transported me to another world, and as you can tell I'm still riding the high that it gave me. The deserts were also a total knock out. You can pick any of them, they're all great. And if you're not sure what to get, the staff will take the time to not only suggest to you what they recommend and why, but also tell you _where the food came from OMG_. And when they tell you to also try the bread with the olive oil _that they make themselves_, you say yes. Just yes. Do it.

Excellent place. Try the tomato salad with tuna and fantastic local olive oil. It’s a magic combination and you will feel like in heaven. Salud!

Honestly, I don’t understand how this place is not rated at least 4.8 stars overall on Google. Simply the best fish I’ve had in my life (fish of the day). Eggs with truffles and fries were just astonishing. High quality wine and Prosciutto. Great service by Davi. One of the best restaurants of the trip.

We enjoyed this place with a few caveats. We can here to get a nice Spanish experience breakfast in the square. The orange juice was wonderful and the cappuccino was good. We had the toast with tomato and olive oil. It was good so nothing to complain there. Price was right. But service was very slow. I realize Spanish style is chill but this was too much. Took forever. And a bit unfriendly although I wonder if part of that was that they were just stretched too thin. Two couples left while we were there. So don’t go here if I’m a hurry. Cheers.

Always delivers quality product and a total dining experience Service is impeccable, today even with 10 degrees and the sun shining it was a pleasure to eat on the terrace Compact menú means dishes are cooked from fresh and not frozen The sister restaurant El Zucio is closed for the season so Casa Ortega is even busier , book yo avoid any disappointments

Such an amazing find! The waiters were so sweet and sharing their favorite dishes which were great recommendations, thank you for that! The Jamón 5Jotas was delicious, the homemade olive oil the best I've ever had. Try the white chocolate mousse dessert - it's fantastic! I enjoyed the atmosphere as well with quiet Spanish music in the background. The whole experience was just so pleasant, I will come back anytime!

Tourists beware this restaurant is a scam. Went there as a group of 7, they charged us €12 euro for a “complimentary salad.” It’s 2 euro for each bread roll, that several declined but put on the table anyway. The menu listed a plate of fruit at €4 euro and they charged us €10. The rest of the food was overpriced for what it was. A €25 euro cod plate that came with no potato or rice just a pile of lettuce so it’s essentially a salad. Overall food was 4/10, and the treatment was 1/10.

Food was dry and bad the bread nice but definitely not worth 1.80 euros and it was just like a small loaf the size of your hand very very bad

Food prepared with respect to the essence. Rounded with the very best ever espresso I've ever tasted on my worldwide travels. Prepared and professionally served unexpectedly strong, soft, swirling like a flamenco. Even the exceptional machine delivering this looks amazing. Gracias.

Ordered grilled hake, but got cod with tomato sauce without even being asked, because “they had no hake anymore”. The cod was not fresh, tomato sauce with no taste, as if they had emptied a jar of chopped tomatoes over the fish. Bread is 1€80, one loaf. However it gets one star from me because the bread was toasted and for the delicious olive oil.

Extremely slow service and overpriced food which is mediocre at best. The croquetas were substandard and the "truffle meat" was way overcooked and we left most of that on the plate. Most astonishing was the 75 EUR for four large shrimps, much higher price than anything on the menu. Not sure if the price would have been the same if it had crossed our mind to ask it beforehand; now this felt a bit like a tourist scam. Due to the slow service we were rushed and didn't have time to remain arguing - but I think there would have been a point. Final surprise awaited us even later when I saw that they had double charged my credit card. Don't ruin your day in Ronda, go eat somewhere else instead.

Nice stuff, delicious food. Even when we ask for changing our order, because we didn't like the taste, they were very open and welcomed 🌷🌷🌷and they recommend another very delicious dish 😋

Delicious lunch and friendly service. We really enjoyed the olive oil, tomato and tuna salad, jamon de bellotta, ox tail, and Venus clams in garlic sauce.

👍👍 Possibly my favorite spot i visited in Ronda! Our receptionist recommended this spot as his favorite so we thought to try it out. We had the acorn fed pork which was possibly my favorite food of my entire visit to Ronda, so crispy and tender! We also tried the spinach croquettes which were delicious...
