This was my second visit - not my choice since my company selects the hotel. During my last visit I found a soiled towel in the bathroom. This was brought to the attention of the manager and I was assured it wouldn't happen again. On my next visit a month later, again (!) there was a soiled towel in the bathroom. Disgusting. This time I gave the soiled towel to the receptionist - but she was at a complete loss as to how to deal with it. I had to ask for a manager again. Even though their response on here is always "thankyou for the feedback", they don't appear to actually improve their service or quality. Very disappointed.

This place will never see me again. I brought my family to the rooftop bar for sundowners, but our experience was instantly ruined. Upon arrival in the lobby, one of the hotel receptionists stopped us. In a very unwelcoming manner, he asked if we had a reservation. We explained that weā€™ve been here numerous times and phoned before to confirm, and never needed to have a reservation to go up to the bar. He then made up a false story, now suddenly claiming that there was a private function at the bar and that weā€™re not allowed in. Feeling very disappointed, we just left. Later that evening, to my surprise, I discovered through Instagram Stories videos that people posted on the rooftop that day that there was in fact no private function. Instead, it was just a very ordinary day with small groups of people and various empty tables. I got the feeling that the hotel reception selectively decides who they want to give access to the bar or not. Could it be to save space for their friends? Or to close the bar early? Maybe me and my family didnā€™t fit the kind of guests they want? Who knows! For this reason, Iā€™ll strongly advise you reading this and anyone in my network against visiting this place and suggest checking out the many better rooftop bars in the city instead.

One of the places I've always wanted to Stat at. Filled with that young vibes aesthetics with beautiful art everywhere. The restaurant and bar is a great place to host a small party of people for celebrations. The security was a plus for me as you can't access certain parts of the building without and access card. This puts guests at ease. Red is a theme color so be prepared to have red surround you. The view from the rooftop and rooms is amazing. Loved everything about the place. It's very functional close to the mall most office places and their standard is all the way up there. Would love to go back. Maybe they can hook a girl up with a stay !

Stylish and modern design. Rooms are not massive but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is definitely worth including in your booking.

This is a great hotel concept by Radisson. The hotel is very well located and has a good vibe to it. The rooms are nice, very clean and spacious enough for a business trip. From check-in to check-out the guest experience is amazing and the staff is super friendly, very helpful and always smiling, especially Nonny. She cares about the guests and will surely enlighten their day thanks to her beaming smile.

Extremely disappointed with the staff. They were so unprofessional, lacking basic etiquette, no use of the words "please and thank you". My room's electricity tripped at least 3 times on my first night even though there was no load-shedding, the generator took a while to go on. I also had to be moved because my room was apparently leaking onto the conference room, I received this call to move me at around 22:35pm and I refused to do so, I eventually moved in the morning before breakfast and do you know what I got for that inconvenience? A plastic travel mug!!, How classy! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will be informing our company to steer clear from it.

I arrived at the hotel on a Tuesday morning and was sanitized appropriately before I reached the front desk. At the front desk I was met by a friendly lady called Ayanda and that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was spacious enough and I loved the red look in the bathroom. The staff is bubbly and there is a vibe at this establishment. The rooftop makes for a lovely place for drinks although the prices are a tad steep but manageable. Every guest must spend some time there. The breakfast is great and so are the main meals. I would recommend the Lamb Chops because they are Sensational. Overall a dope stay and there is another Radison Red in Cape Town so you are covered.

Stayed on the 6th floor, there was a sewage smell in the corridor, also a sewage smell in my bathroom, had to keep the bathroom door closed all the time. Rooftop bar couches very dirty, had to call the waiter to clean the floors were we sit. Rooftop bar food quality also poor and portions very small. Service was good, and breakfast was also nice.

Had a very relaxing time while enjoying a a couple of drinks. Coffee was fantastic, bartender was exemplary. The front consiege was also polite and accommodating and took time to listen and react accordingly. All in all I highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Rooftop bar was great. Drinks were good and so was the food. Service was a bit slow but the ladies were friendly. The worst thing has got to be the super expensive parking R60! You should at least get parking compt if youā€™ve spent a certain amount at the bar!

Fantastic Stay 1 bedroom suite- 6 nights business trip I confess that I was a little bit apprehensive about staying in such a trendy place, (being an mature business traveller), however I neednā€™t have been concerned. From the moment I checked-in to when I left the service was amazing. The staff were all so friendly and the room cleaning standards are extremely high. The food served in the Oiu bar/ restaurant was superb, and The Executive Chef, Mr. Genghis and his colleague, Titus never failed to check on how I enjoyed a meal. You could see both by the presentation, and taste of each dish that they took great pride in their food. The staff at the Oiu bar were superb, and I have listed some of them below, apologies if I have missed someone out. They were attentive, and funny with great personalities, always making me feel as if Iā€™d come home each evening as opposed to staying in a hotel. Overall a great stay, and I will certainly be staying here again. Big thanks to the team below, apologies to those whom I have omitted or misspelled: Beauty, Bheki, Elizabeth, Felista, Chef Genghis, Kenneth, Michelle, and Windy. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Clean and modern rooms, beautifully decorated with stunning and unique artwork, great amenities, loved both ground floor restaurant and 7th floor restaurant and bar. The views up there were incredible!

Peacefully quiet with an eclectic vibe to it. Overall a great place with lots of clean, airy spaces, stunning decor and art. Plenty of photo-op areas and waiting areas. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's located in a tranquil area and is also close to many other restaurants, malls, etc. It was hardly busy so service was prompt and efficient.

Great location room are clean and very modern . Good is good down at the restaurant and the room service . The mall next door is like a 7 min walk which also has plenty of restaurants. Oh one last thing when to call the reception ever from you room they will greet you by saying ā€˜hey hey hey ā€˜ three times always . It always cracks me up and brings a smile to my face . Have fun

The rooftop has beautiful views. A very pleasant place to chill at. I love that it's family friendly as well. The food was delightful that's also one other thing I enjoyed. I would highly recommend it for a spring or summer day to catch the sunset at

Had an excellent stay here for work. The staff were helpful & friendly from the moment we walked in and were kind enough to help fix some booking issues I had (that would've resulted in them getting more money out of me) Nice to see them willing to look past that and help without being greedy. The reception is pretty swave and inviting and the open-plan layout into the restaurant is very cool. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. The city-view room had a great view. Bathroom was large, tidy and maintained. The only downside was the exorbitant restaurant prices. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the prices of some items. R40 for a can of coke, R60 for a draught and nearly R200 for pizza makes it really really expensive even if you would like a light, cheap dinner. Overall a very pleasurable stay and one that I would highly recommend to anyone needing a spot in Rosebank.

Waiters are great, food is very tasty and well presented. Smaller than normal portions but it's a hotel so that's expected. Still worth the vibe and views šŸ‘Œ

Had a year-end lunch at the rooftop restaurant at 1 in the afternoon. It was like entering a rave. The music was way too loud for a lunch setting, could not have a conversation at all. I understand getting into the year-end party vibe, and for the volume to increase later, but not being able to converse and systematically get into party mode put a demper on the mood, motivating leaving early. Menu was limited. It might make sense to eat there if you stay there, but it's not my best.

Minnie thank you so much for the amazing service, your smile could light up the Superbowl. I was having trouble connecting my device to the TV and Minnie was kind enough to assist me with that. I really appreciate the hospitality at Red. 5 start rating most definitely. ā˜ŗļøšŸ˜˜šŸ™šŸ¼

Lovely modern rooms with fantastic showers and really quality beds/pillows allowing for a decent night's sleep. State of the art aircons and blinds. Night staff were a bit lax and I had to call down twice for my room service (desert) that I had ordered. Breakfast for such a quality establishment was very mediocre - limited selection and pork sausages and bacon was hard and rubbery šŸ˜•.

  • 1/5 Karen R. 4 months ago on Google
Rating 1 star because the power keeps cutting in and out multiple times in a day. The AC of course turns off as well which woke me up twice during my sleep because I was sweating. I had to stand up during my sleep to turn the AC back on. So annoying!!! The room also didn't even have an available hairdryer. I had to call reception to borrow when it should've been ready in my room to begin with. Totally awful experience.

Went there for end of year function, nice ambiance. Limited parking- no complimentary validation. Still have to pay even if your car is not in a parking bay. Good enough but not great. Forgot the pricey drinksā˜¹ļø

Good morning, The hotel room that I stayed in was warm and cozy, I got a beautiful view from outside my window and the food was delicious.. I really enjoyed my breakfast. I was assisted by one of the staff named KHANYI, she was very helpful, kind, welcoming, very professional and friendly. Thank you for your service. Cheers! šŸ„‚

The room was gorgeous and well furnished in the red theme. The bed and bathroom were very clean and inviting too, felt prestine. The rooftop bar was also very nice with great food and drinks on the poolside deck. The staff were helpful and accommodating, Solly at the bar was so kind to get ice cream from a lower floor to make a Dom pedro for us, even when it wasn't a menu item. Our only problem was that we had booked on the 6th floor (below the 7th floor rooftop bar) where a DJ was playing music past midnight, even though the bar had closed at around 10. The soundproofing did only so much, it was difficult to sleep until they stopped at around 2am.

The Radisson RED has two restaurants, one downstairs and a rooftop. Both are very well decorated with impeccable service. I was really impressed by their service and the service. Notable moment was when it got a bit windy and cold the staff offered us blankets to keep us warm. Coming back soon

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Brand new just opened. Walked in to check in and felt automatically at home. Hospitality spoils you. Even gave us a little gift walking in. A bunch of personal questions that make you feel comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the rooftop has amazing food drinks service and the sunset view is incredible. Perfect! #SameTimeNextTime

This establishment just oozes class, architecture and art. Perfect way to watch the sun set with a fabulous cocktail on the rooftop with breathtaking views. A cool selfie screen so for a momentbin time you can feel famous been displayed. Dress code smart/casual but definitely hip. šŸ‘ŒšŸ’šŸ‡æšŸ‡¦šŸØšŸ¹

Such an efficient space with attending and always friendly staff who go above and beyond to assist. The conference rooms are well equipped. The food is AMAZING. We were served a three course lunch everyday; it was diverse and well-suited to everyone regardless of their dietary preferences. We were given a selection of drinks at lunch and all throughout our conference there was a superb coffee/tea machine always ready to serve alongside some refreshments for breakfast and snacks before AND after lunch. Their bathrooms are clean and spacious and I, personally, enjoyed the wonderful soaps and creams they had in the bathroom. Overall this place is clean, safe and welcoming. 5/5 ā˜†

I was so disappointed because from the time we arrived there, there was no hostess to welcome us. We didnā€™t know where to go as we had to find our own space. Our drinks took an hour to arrive and the food was horrible. Pap was too stiff as if it was cooked in the morning, dessert was bad especially the presentation, the carrot cake I had was too dry with a homemade ice cream. I would definitely not recommend this place and I think yā€™all need to start improving your food skills by hiring qualified chefs plus your need more staff . I am not a happy client

The hotel is very beautifulā€¦. But everything else was horrible. We made a reservation for the Valentineā€™s Day dinner and when we got there no one knew what we were talking about. The service was horrible and only because the waiters were understaffed. Why would you just have 3 waiters working on Valentineā€™s Day???!!!!! . We stood for 30 minutes without be attended to. And when we eventually got attended to, the drinks took an hour to come, then the food took even longer to come. The food wasnā€™t delicious at all. I wasted money by booking at this hotel, my Valentineā€™s Day and Anniversary were ruined! What topped it off was the cockroaches in the room and the dry breakfast! Iā€™m super disappointed in this hotel.

This is one place I will never forget the whole experience was amazing, good music, nice vibe, friendly ppl, the only thing I had a problem with was the waiter who cheated me on my wine and took extra R13 of my card be on the look out for that. Lovely place I will definitely visiting soon.

Not my stay but the service at the rooftop bar is shocking! I donā€™t blame your staff as they seem not trained well enough. You have a gem in the center of rosebank but Iā€™m afraid you will lose customers if you donā€™t Jack up your service. Client/ customer experience is key

We called for plates and cutlery to our roo. and they never arrived. Last night there was a false alarm so we were all evacuated from the rooms. After that, the smoke detector kept going off on its own for a good hour. Its almost 4pm and our room has still not been cleaned. I'm definitely not staying here again unfortunately because its such a beautiful hotel

  • 1/5 Sarada N. 1 year ago on Google
Receptionist is rude and slow. Waits for you to greet him as you stand at the front desk. As well as the shuttle bus driver, does not know how to communicate with a welcoming tone. House keeping opened my door without knocking at 7.30pm while Iā€™m in my room. This happened several times to my friends as well. The room doesnā€™t come with bar soap or body lotion. Most of the channels didnā€™t work on the TV. They donā€™t even keep a lightning cable/charger to charge phone for those that donā€™t have a universal adapter. Surprised this is a 4 star hotel.

I had a wonderful experience at the Radisson Red, Johannesburg, South Africa. Every staff member I encountered, from the valet to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help. Very clean facilities such as gym and pool were at the cleanest. Bathroom in the room was very spacious and clean as well! Thank you once again for giving me a wonderful experience! I will be definitely recommend to my colleagues!

I stayed at this Radisson Red Rosebank for six nights during a business trip. My overall experience was fantastic. The hotel is in a trendy precinct with many great restaurants and coffee shops nearby and a quick walk to the nearby malls. I stayed in a junior suite which was well positioned at the end of the corridor. The room was very comfortable and my sleep quality was good. The in-house breakfast was fresh and tasty. All staff generally quite helpful and room service prompt. I didnā€™t give a five-star rating as housekeeping and maintenance departments during my stay werenā€™t to the same standard as the rest of the hotel was. I had a faulty shower that was never attended to and housekeeping work very early and very late, causing occasional disturbances to peace while the room. All-in-all, a great stay. Iā€™ll be back.

Very poor service, you need a much friendlier manager. My husband and I got treated very different from everybody else who was there. It seemed as if the manager just wanted us out of the place since we sat down. Our bill was brought to us like a normal till slip without the cover and put on our table and he stood at the table till we paid he made us feel very uncomfortable. We still had the decency to tip him but not a thank you we received from him. We will not be back .

Great hotel. Rooms are modern, food at the restaurant is amazing, there is a slight wait but so worth the individual treatment from the chef. Staff are super friendly and will go out of their way.

People are very friendly - nice location, clean with very good parking. Our pizza however was a bit down - hard base and topping not much. Waited a bit long for dinner service Otherwise nice to stay and will stay there again.

I was in this hotel last week for five days. The hotel rooms are small but very clean. The airport transfer is a night mare. You pay as do your booking but no one will pick you up so you will end up taking a taxi. This happened to me and the following week to my colleagues.
