One of the best parks we've seen in Paris. It's surrounded by beautiful buildings adding to it's magic. The four fountains provide a nice cool air. There were many people sunbathing and others on the grass appreciating the shadows of the trees. There is a playground for kids. There is also a water fountain

The way the parlance is laid out in Paris makes this a little hidden gem. It gets you out of the main hustle and bustle of Paris but still able to take in history. There is plenty of grass area for picnics or to just chill out. This is the Palace that Henri II pass away.

Charming park full of life as families come here to relax / let their kids play. It’s probably quieter in the morning. The surrounding buildings encapsulate the square and when the sun hits their facades, that’s when beauty comes out.

It is a very beautiful French garden. It is undergoing renovations right now, so almost half of it is unreachable. There is the statue of "Emperor Louis XIII" on a horse, in the centre of the graden and at the 4 corners, there are 4 fountains. The garden is very famous, is shown in many movies, I saw it in some TV drama as well. Outside the garden, there are many restaurants and in general, the place is lined by art galleries. Nice for a small stroll, looking at the history of the area. There is Maison of Victor Hugo in one corner, and the view of the garden from those windows, is very charming. Yes, do visit, if you are in this area, and you should be, if you are in Paris :)

One of my favorite manicured squares in Paris. Spotlessly clean. A monument to King Louis XIII is in the center. Several pleasant restaurants around my favorite being Café Hugo.

I had 1 day in Paris and this is the place I wanted to go back to. It's such an oasis. I love the art galleries and the Victor Hugo house.

After a stroll in the lovely Marais neighbourhood, it was a delight to stumble upon the Place des Vosges parc. The four fountains are beautiful, and there was an art exhibit in the park. It is very family friendly and a great place to chill with friends.

The oldest planned square in Paris, it’s a nice break from the alleyways of the Marais neighborhood. It’s a great spot to have a picnic as well. It’s not too crowded and you can get a nice plot of grass for yourself. And if it’s too hot, there is always plenty of shade as there are plenty of trees in the square. Being surrounded by beautiful houses is always a bonus as well. Should you want pastries, there are some boulangeries in the immediate area, you don’t need to go more than 500 meters away to get an eclair to eat in the grass.

Very nice square park. It is quite popular when the weather is good, lots of people have their lunch here and are chilling in the park. Lots of benches to sit on or relax on the lawn.

Nice square where you can take a walk Beautiful light in the morning and some folks out having coffee. Such a nice time I hope I’ll be back. I meandered around searching for the perfect spot to sit and drink some EXPRESSO

A truly iconic part of the Parisian suburb of The Marias. Most beautiful in winter when then trees are bare and the architecture is exposed. Great stop for lunch before a museum visit.

As a friend of mine said, "Place des Vosges is my favorite place in Paris". If I were to live in Paris, I would live here. Victor Hugo agreed. He lived here. The place has plenty of restaurants and bars, and a lovely park in the center.

A NICE PLACE to sit and relax after exploring this Jewish quarter. Here you can spend a few hours in the evening, looking at the surrounding shops and maybe enjoying a coffee in one of the cafés. The evening is the best time to come here after exploring the neighborhood.

Lovely park set in a square with the Victor Hugo museum (and one of the places he used to live) in one corner. Lots of grass and benches to sit and relax, catching a bit of sun, eating lunch or catching up with people. There are four lovely fountains in each corner. Architecture of the houses around are also very interesting. Best described as a little oasis in the middle of Paris.

It is incredibly picturesque and even has one of the city’s oldest pieces of graffiti ground into one of its stones. The park/gardens are quite beautiful, with fountains/statues monuments etc, its a nice place just to hang out have lunch, nice to stroll amongst the arches.

Une des plus belles places de Paris avec ses façades et ses arcades. Ses galeries d'art et ses boutiques fashion...sans oublier ses restaurants et cafés en temps...normal. Quartier historique et culturel très animé, haut lieu du Marais.

Absolutely beautiful park. In the early morning, it’s a great place to go for a jog, do yoga on the grass, and enjoy the fresh air. In the afternoon and evening, the park lights up with energy and is filled with picnickers and happy people. Place des Vosges is a great place for a picnic in Paris, and tucked away from the busy tourist crowds.

Ein sehr schöner Park. Meine Töchter wollten "sehen wo Ladybug lebt"?

This is a beautiful place in the 3rd arrondissement, could miss it if you didn’t know where to look for it. Some great green space and quietness to get away from the city beat. Often can be crowded however on this Friday morning, not crowded at all. Definitely worth a visit as the history of the occupants is incredible!

A very nice square. Around the square, there are several museums, including the history of Paris, the residence of Hugo. There is a very nice tea shop, FEI TEA nearby. I went for a bubble tea and enjoyed it at this square.

A Regal Square with Room for Improvement The Place des Vosges is a beautiful and historic square in Paris, but my experience was not quite perfect, hence my three-star rating. The square itself is quite stunning, with its regal arcades, manicured gardens, and impressive fountains. However, the maintenance could be improved. Some of the benches were in disrepair, and there was litter scattered around the gardens. When it comes to amenities, the Place des Vosges has a lot to offer. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from, and the shops in the area are of high quality. However, the service could be more attentive, especially in the cafes. What really makes the Place des Vosges special is its history. It's a place that has been visited by many famous figures throughout the years, and there is a sense of grandeur that permeates the square. It's a great place to take a stroll and soak up the atmosphere of Paris. In terms of improvements, I would recommend more frequent maintenance and cleaning, as well as better training for the staff in the cafes and restaurants. Additionally, some more unique and engaging events could be held in the square to draw more visitors and create a more vibrant atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend the Place des Vosges to visitors to Paris, but with the caveat that there is room for improvement. It's a beautiful square with plenty of history and amenities, but it could use some extra attention to take it to the next level. I left with a good impression of the place, but there are certainly areas where it could be better.

This is a beautiful square surrounded by these beautifully kept houses. Such a lovely place to walk around and lots to see. There are lots of art galleries and restaurants and also here while you're here you can visit la Maison du Victor Hugo which is free. A great place to come sit in the park and relax. Some history: The Place des Vosges, originally Place Royale, is the oldest planned square in Paris, France. It is located in the Marais district, and it straddles the dividing line between the 3rd and 4th arrondissements of Paris Amazing square, great location, a great place to take pictures or relax in the park. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spot. Went there at 7pm in June and there were lots of people on the grass reading, and some lovely picnics set up. My 2 year old daughter loved the little playground in the corner of the park.

If you go to the Carnavalet or Picasso Museum, there is no reason to not stop by. But I won’t go out of my way to come here. A nice place to sit. The most notable thing is this area used to be a palace before the kings moved to the Louvre. But previous structure has been disassembled
