I really wouldn't advice this place. I rented a private room for a price (94 euros) I would actually have something much better. The room (more like a prison cell) smelled so strong from bleach that I had to air it the whole night (in winter time); the wall outlet didn't work; the wifi didn't work in the room, the staircase and corridor are so noisy from slamming doors you wake up all the time, the breakfast was a joke (Ever heard of a slice of cheese, an egg, a coffee that doesn't make you sick... ?). This sort of services are against everything why youth hostels were initially founded. Travellers deserve to be treat with much more respect.

Avarage youth hostel. It has everything you need. BUT! Weak WiFi in the rooms, underwhealming breakfast buffet (they dont even have plates for the breakfast), doors are very loud when you close them. Staff was friendly and it is situated in the center near Notre Dame and a Metro station.

Extremely disappointed - booking on Hostelworld. Mije is three different hostels and Maubuisson one is basically a prison in comparison to others. The common area is 6 benches - nothing like what's pictured. Have seen prison mess halls that are nicer. My biggest frustration is paying the same price for a far inferior hostel than the other two buildings. There are no photos of Maubuisson on Hostelworld - for a reason. It absolutely sucks as a hostel. No storage lockers is nuts. This place is absolutely AWFUL for solo travellers or backpackers.

The only good thing about this hostel was the staff and the location. So far the worst experience ever. 1. No outlets in the bedroom close to your bed (just 2 in the entire bedroom shared by 4 people). 2. The bathroom inside your bedroom has no door. 3. There are no soaps or any products for cleaning your hands in the bathrooms in the bedrooms and in the floors. 4. There are no lockers anywhere, and the safest place you can let your belongings is at the luggage storage room. 5. The Wi-fi does not work properly as you go up in the floors. Maybe if the price was lower it would be acceptable, however, So for a bad value for money spent, since I paid about 50 euros for the stay, which is not valuable because if you want a place just for stay, maybe just renting a tent close to one of the parisiense public bathrooms would be as good as.

Worst place I have been to in my life. It’s central located, but never quite. People are coming and going through the night, slumming doors, talking and laughing, witch is nice, but you don’t get to sleep. If you share room with other you get a small room with three small hard beds, a small pillow and it gets warm inside. Terrible place. Not for me. Ever again. Sorry

No WiFi at 1st floor, shower at room but toilets separately outside.. Include breakfast but don't expect many condiments

Excellent location and pretty cool building to stay in. 24 hour reception so you can buzz in anytime. They clean everyday in the middle of the day so you can't access the facilities then. Issues were the lack of plugs in the room, everyone needs to charge their phone over night but wasn't a big deal. The shower was in the room with just a flimsy curtain so would be tricky to use discreetly if you're shy that way... Would be better if it was a solid door that didn't blow around or had more hooks next to it so you could grab your clothes/towel etc. Would still recommend.

It was a bed to sleep in, that’s it. There is no sink in the toilet room so you have to walk to your room spreading germs, and then there is no soap in the room sink room so I hope you packed some. Staff is very loud in the morning cleaning at 6am. Get in, get out. I went to bed excited to leave in the morning. Also 3 locations so double check.

The hostel is in a great location, close to the centre but there aren't loads of tourists. It is a beautiful area and I felt safe. The rooms are very sweet and cosy. The only problem is there are too few plugs. The shower is in the room with just a curtain and slatted screen. It's OK if you aren't fussy, but beware if you want privacy. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was included. It was nice, and there was a big dining room. I hope to stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed a night here in separate rooms as they dont offer mixed rooms. Unfortunately our stay was quite disappointing. There is no kitchen or cutlery so you have to eat outside. Also, the reception guy didnt let us take our bottle of wine inside (we clearly said that we not gonna drink it) and made such a Drama out of it. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean but this is the only positive part. The breakfast was also not good, there is cheap cornflakes and milk and juices (you are only allowed one) and bread but no ham or cheese, only jam or honey.. I dont like to eat sweet in the morning so it definitely wasnt for me this breakfast.

Poor WiFi and almost no outlets. The rooms were pretty small the bathrooms were not cleaned. The shower in our room was quite literally a hole in the wall. But th view was nice I can understand the mediocre quality for being that affordable in such a nice arrondissement. Very well placed, near public transport. I would recommend if you're looking for a cheap place to stay in a beautiful city

If location is all you care about, then this a great hostel because the location is the best you’ll find at this price for a hostel in Paris. Apart from that, other parts were lacking. You get no wi-fi signal in your bedrooms, you can only access it on the ground floor. The showers are in the rooms and the alarms go off if you use them. The toilet is in the hallway, but there’s no sink to wash your hands, so you have to walk back to your room to clean them. There’s no soap either, so you should bring your own soap. (MIJE say because they’re a hostel they lack facilities, but every other hostel I’ve been to provides soap for sinks). It’s loud, sound travels really easily into the bedrooms even with the doors closed. On a more positive note, the staff are nice. But overall this is a 5 star location with 3 star facilities, it’s very bare bones.

The hotel is a complete disorganized disaster, they put an address for the reception and the rooms are, according to them, one block away, something that I never found, the receptionist did not accompany me to the room, they send you only without an avitation number or correct address, I did not find the address I went back to the reception to ask for help and the receptionist treated me badly just because I do not speak his language have the experience in this establishment was fatal and they did not return my money a total scam

Great Location! Dining room appears quiet modern and the breakfast is good (a specially for the fact that it’s for free). Some mould in the shower. This house is used mostly for school trips and there wasn’t the possibility to meet other travelers.

The hotel is placed in the heart of Paris. It does look very beautiful as well. The rooms are okay, nothing too special. You got no toilets in the rooms and the shower was broken. The food in the pension seems not fresh and is not yummy. I suggest everybody to only book breakfast, NOT dinner. The salat was not fresh and the dinner itself was not worth it.

The best location ever. Free breakfast was very french, small, but free breakfast is rare to find in any paris hostels! Very cute building and an easy walk to everything. The louvre was only a 20 minute walk along the Seine!!!

I stayed here for 8 days, and it was a wonderful experience! The breakfast was prompt and warm, with multiple options to choose from. The entire hostel was immaculate from the bedrooms, the dining hall, the stairs and hallways, and the restrooms. The staff was always very friendly, and very forgiving of me practicing my french! The only complaint I could come up with was that the bedroom was stuffy and not air conditioned, so we had to sleep with the window open every night. We only had an issue with noise one night, but a quick comment to the security downstairs fixed the issue! I would absolutely stay there again!

Friendly staff. A toilet on every floor, and a shower and sink in the rooms. When I there a youth group of some sort was there, so the common area could get a bit overwhelmed at times, but otherwise they were fine. Breakfast was included, with bread, yogurt, a croissant, tea/coffee, orange juice, and cereal. Luggage room required the front desk to open the door. Two outlets in my triple room, plus outlets in the common area where the wifi was.

I arrived late and was greeted well and shown to a clean room & bed. Was offered an extension cable to ensure that I could charge my phone overnight from the one available plug socket in the bathroom. Only issue with this is that the plug is nowhere near beds and thus pointless if you need to set an alarm and have the phone near you. Breakfast was basic but nice enough, (one large bread-roll, mini pain o chocolate and option for cereal or yogurt). Tea and coffee provided with juice for drink. Location was perfect for getting around Paris, as really close to metro number 1. The inability to connect to WiFi in bedrooms should be considered if you are staying here. I suspect most travellers would find this very annoying. Overall would recommend staying here for location with clean simple beds although for a more sociable hostel with traveller specific benefits I would choose another hostel.

Forget about a review, the location of this hostel takes the cake! I averaged 21 miles/day walking for the 3 days, bc its so well located! Rooms are small! Very friendly and helpful staff! Two thumbs up for the night shift security/receptionist! Very very secure and quiet at night!

For sure the best location ever! The neighbourhood is super parisian and without tourists. The rooms are super comfortable, the breakfast pretty good and the service wonderful. The price is good and the place is super calm and comfortable. The only negative point is the lack of lockers and kitchen, however I felt super safe there and I could eat my food in the cafeteria.

The location is down a small alley, so a bit difficult to find. You must ring to get in, and the reception will check you in. I was a bit concerned about them taking my passport but it is okay. Beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms could have been better. Breakfast was nothing special but for the price you pay its to be expected. Would stay again in a pinch.
