Arrived at the hotel. Not even a welcome or happy to have you stay with us. They don’t explain anything to you at the reception. It is kind of up to yourself to figure out where everything is. Didn’t know where the spa was, where breakfast is served etc. Got to the room. It was amazing. But there is no phone or binder that tells you anything. So you have to go downstairs to ask something. The bathroom door doesn’t close, so you’re basically doing your business infront of the other person. There are no facial tissues in the rooms! I went down to the reception and the lady said we need to buy them. Like what a joke. For the fact that I am paying a lot for the stay it is kind of ridiculous. You don’t even get slippers for the spa. The hottub was closed due to covid (which is ok). The front desk staff made me feel stupid every time I would ask something. Definitely wouldn’t come back here.

Pros about the hotel It's perfectly located, clean, bed is comfortable, staff is friendly, there is also a convenience store in the lobby, the restaurant is nice and there is a large selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Cons The wet sauna and the whirlpool were closed even though they were big enough to fit a number of 3 people and still keep social distancing. There were no little ashtrays on the terrace tables. The bathroom offers little to no privacy. Not recommended for timid couples.

I came with my partner for a break with a sea view. Unfortunately, and contrarily to what is advertised on the website the rooms have really no sea view, except from one angle, but sofa and bed are oriented in the other direction (very poor interior design and ugly decoration too) ! Cleanliness is low, opening the door of the room you are welcome with a stench - nothing to do with the maintenance staff, it just stinks like a big second-hand clothes shop!. The spa (which is not part of the hotel) and breakfast area are ok, the staff not particularly helpful and display a very poor sense of corporate hospitality . Avoid.

Have been to Warnemünde before and had a better time at another place. Booked a ja even though they had a higher price because of the well promoted wellness area. I was very disappointed to notice that this ist just a hotel, but not what I understand as a resort. The wellness and spa area is not strictly a part of a ja, but the neighboring nivea house. As a result, the management of a ja does not feel responsible for the service and hygiene there. Given the promotion of the hotel, I find this to be misleading. Apart from this, there are many details of various gravity that I did not expect from a hotel in this price range. We booked the rooms on another website where the rooms are said to have Seaview. Little did we know that you can call it Seaview even though you have to put your head out the window to see any water. The rest of the view was dominated by rooftops and a very good view into the wellness areas resting rooms. I did not feel very comfortable on any side of this. Although you can get a free bath robe at the reception, the robes are very used up and you can only buy the slippers that you need in order to reach the spa. If you have bigger feet, prepare for a price of at least 25€ for a pair. The hygiene is not of high priority. For the spa area, I can understand a few hairs on the ground in times of high usage. But I never saw anyone care about this issues at all, and from the hotel nobody felt responsible. Also: bring your own hand soap! Opinion request, hotel rooms handsomely or sanitizer of any kind are not part of the hotels concept! Something I expect to be the minimum hygiene in every train stations rest rooms is not part of this places wellness experience. On another note, I had one of my least favorite Asian dinners at the hotels restaurant. It was a buffet, but everything seemed to be just warmed up. I do not thing that a real cook needs to be present in the preparation of any of this fryed noodle mess. The breakfast was quite good on the other hand. Everything you would expect was there in a satisfying quality. The coffee was very good and I really liked the cereals. Be early though, the area is a little small and at some point people start to fight about seats. In conclusion: do not come here for the wellness or spa. Do not eat the overpriced Asian dinner. There are a lot of places just around the corner where you can eat better. Bring your own hand soap! And try not to think of all the people, not washing their hands in the elevator or the dining area!

The hotel is located next to the beach and most of the rooms have sea views. The main sales point of the hotel is the heated pool, considering that the Baltic sea is very cold for swimming.

Pretty decent place. you can't get closer to the beach and have a swimming pool. The pool is great for bad weather. We came here for Christmas... Our suite had a big bath tub that takes hours to be filled... Good food. Price is ok.

Good hotel with pragmatic very clean rooms. Food is from the buffet I has a good quality. The staff is child friendly. The hotel has a great SPA area with an extra area for smaller children. I recommend it for a short Baltic Sea trip, if you just are looking for a good stay and do want the whole package Room, Breakfast/Dinner, SPA.

The rooms are ok and the location is great. The rooms are modern but also very simplistic in their design - I like it, but it is not everyone's taste. The absolute let down is the restaurant. The buffet style dinner is cheap, but not worth anything more. 2 hours in the serving many of the dishes are not available. The food which sits in the warming bins for hours is dry and tasteless. Service is ridiculous: we ordered the local sparkling wine and were told that neither champagne nor wine glasses were available. Ended up with water tumblers. Price - delivery is completely out of balance. Not worth it.

Great hotel to stay at the Baltic coast. We stay at aja for 4 nights along with our 6 month old baby. Our experience at the hotel was extremely pleasant and we found the hotel to be very kid friendly. On days when the weather was bad, we enjoyed the indoor pools and sauna. The hotel rooms have a great view of the sea. The breakfast and dinner had a wide variety of options. Would recommend and would like to visit again!

I'm a seasoned traveller but I've never seen a hotel with an uglier interior design. I've seen hotels with outdated, even broken or dirty furniture, but never one where someone seemed to have put in some thought and failed miserably. I came here for a weekend get-away, and decided to treat myself to a weekend here. It was almost 500 Euros for two nights, one guest. I think it's fair that I had at least some expectations. The ones that were met: the hotel is super close to the beach and the breakfast buffet was good. Now to the rest. When I walked in, I wasn't even sure whether I was in the right check-in area because the reception looked like an underground car-park. The cold, impersonal and simply weird design extended into the "spa" area (huge, loud, crowded, noisy like a public bath, NOT where you'd ever go in order to relax) and the hallways. I wasn't worried yet, after all, I was not going to spend any time there. Surely the room would be nice, or... even just... normal? Turns out I should've been worried. The room looked like a drunk person decorated it using The Sims 1. The "couch" was a weird contraption of two massive brown foam boxes at a right angle with an oversized blue foam pool noodle on it. The walls were bright orange and on the desk, which consisted of random white plastic shapes stacked on top of each other, sat a huge bright blue lamp. To finish off the blue-orange hyper-modern fever dream, there were two curtains: a blue one at the window and an orange one that ran between the bed and the bathroom, offering a nice little hospital feeling. The orange one was necessary because the bathroom was completely see-through and on top of that, there was only one door for the toilet area and the shower, so you can close the shower OR the toilet, but never both at the same time. I have never ever experienced anything like this before and I hope it never happens again. The staff at the reception was very reserved and impersonal. I'm a friendly person and usually get friendly reactions back, but not here. To finish off, for 500 Euros I excpected more than a haunting interior design, a stressful spa experience and stand-offish staff. Walking back to the train station I admitted to myself that this was probably the biggest waste of money of my life.

Positives first; proximity to the beach and the wonderful choice at the breakfast buffet. Negatives; the room. It was the most uncomfortable room I've stayed in for the longest time. There isn't really anywhere to sit. There is a weird couch thing made out of two large pieces of foam on top of each other that's way too deep and soft to sit on. No chair at all. There are no slippers, tissues, shampoo, body lotion, shower cap or any of toiletries you would expect from a hotel in this price range. Plug and nightstand only on one side of the bed. I understand not cleaning everyday and yet there is no heated towel rack to hang the wet towels. No shoe rack near the door so the sand gets dragged into the room and stays there for two days. Really this is just cheapskate masquerading as environmentally friendly.

It was an amazing stay, the location of the hotel is great and it has many facilities that you can use. There are 2 pools, indoor and outdoor each, Jaccuzi and Sauna. The outdoor pool has sea view as well. The restaurant has a great view of sea and sunset. The breakfast was great as well with live egg counter. You can walk around the area whole day as it is sea facing with great view. Only negative part was the noise during the night, as it was warm with no ac in the room, we had to keep the window open during night and there were too much noise coming inside. Rest everything was amazing.

Not recommended for people with a Vegan diet. Really annoying, especially because the Aja is promoting a Vegan option for every meal on their website. When arriving when wanted to eat at the restaurant, nether the service nor the cook even understood what Vegan is and recommended vegetarian food to us saying it's Vegan, well a simple look on the menu showed its not, it contained milk. The breakfast was extremely frustrating with only one Vegan creme. What a waste of money, for a otherwise okayish hotel. Also be aware there is no safe in the room and the dog beach is half an hour by foot away.

I absolutely love this hotel on one hand (and came for a second time) and on the other there are things that can be improved. It is great for kids, though there are not really kids activities planned (and the ones announced at 10:00 am on Strandaufgang 11 are not directed activities but materials and toys available for parents to play with their kids. The kids pool though at the hotel is perfect. They have balls and other inflatables sometimes available for kids to use. The food is amazing, from the quality to the varied offer and presentation. I would not put marshmallows and “streusel” in every meal (breakfast and dinner) since it turns into a difficult situation every time you have to say no and they can simply take them as they are displayed at kids eye level. The rooms are smartly designed and make the most of function considering the space available. I would add a couple of hacken inside the shower to hang the bathing suits so that they dry and not drip outside the whole area. You can also request towels exchange at reception once a day. With a five year old kid we were assigned a room one floor above the restaurants outside terrace (3rd floor), which clearly is not convenient due to noise. When requesting reassignment they said the only option was another one in the 4th floor, this time overlooking the entrance and parking lot, next to the beach entrance, which due to the height also made us hear noises all the time. The last time we stayed at the 6th floor if I remember correctly and there was no problems with noise. The two indoor swimming pools and one outside make you independent from weather, so it’s perfect for me who loves to swim. The personnel is very nice and helpful. Also with the kids. The only exception was at the front desk when we arrived. We stated we could not hear the person who was talking to us. This person answered that he could not shout. We were not requesting that, it was loud at the reception with other people present and also he was not speaking clear and slowly enough, my German husband could not understand. It was not very welcoming. The boat small but very useful indoor playroom in the restaurant was closed due to water pipes problems and they were repairing it. It is a lifesaver for you to finish eating in peace and your kid to be safe at play, so we were very sad it was closed. I would definitely come again! Though my husband would probably not unfortunately.
