Great bedrooms, very comfortable with exceptional customer service. However, the breakfast can be hit or miss. I’ve visited up to 5 times now but the breakfast has been a disaster on 2 of the occasions whereby the eggs Benedict was burnt and overcooked (see attached). As this was not edible, quite disappointing - I was reassured by the general manager that this was to not happen again on my latest visit, but unfortunately occurred. It looks like the chef doesn’t check if the food is ready to be served to customers, although manager claimed they can’t check if hollandaise is on top of it, which I disagreed as you can validate after the bun has been toasted especially if burnt and not edible. Recommend to sleep here, but do not recommend the breakfast.

Room was nice, but could do with a lick of paint. Lovely setting, beautiful building, but my stay was marred by the fact that five days afterwards, I was charged for something from the minibar that I didn’t have. I rang through to finance dept who said they would look into it, but never heard anything again Staff were pleasant, but appeared to be rushed off their feet. The room price and service doesn’t equate to the prices charged

We came to try their new brunch menu and we were absolutely over the moon! They had so much to chose from and i will definitely be going back again so that i can try more from the menu as everything looked so good! We were so surprised to find 2 cocktails included in the price and a huge amount of pastries- we were absolutely stuffed by the end. Thank you so much for the wonderful service as well, nothing was too much trouble. :)

Stayed in a Cosy room for a night after a friend’s wedding nearby. Excellent service from all staff, particularly at breakfast where the hostess was exceptional. Only downsides were a small TV and as the bathroom was down a steep staircase in our room, there was a green safety light on all night that I feel did disturb my sleep a little as the room wasn’t dark.

A lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of the main shopping / city area. You cannot get a better location for a city visit. Rooms are very well noise insulated so you have no idea that you're in a bustling noisy city center. Classic style, clean and enjoyable. Fantastic staff, really nice breakfast, comfy beds, modern functional bathrooms, everything you require of a great hotel.

(Review for the restaurant only) I brought my parents here for a birthday lunch on a Sunday, and it was excellent - the food was very good (both roasts and other dishes were available), and the menu was very reasonably priced, probably less expensive than your local gastropub! Service was very friendly too!

Nice Hotel, good location and excellent breakfast. We had a Cosy room, which was fine with size but lacked plugs, just 1 double socket, with a fan plugged in during summer, meaning you have 1 socket left! Also no mirrors anywhere near the plug, so good luck trying to do your hair. Also staff were not overly helpful, apart from Leah on reception, who was super friendly and helpful, the other could take lessons from her. Car park is very tight; if you have a big car might be worth using the multi storey.

Stayed for two nights and the staff were so helpful and lovely. The grounds were cool and the garden was really relaxing. The regular room was a little tight for two people with larger luggages but the storage cabinet was very big which helped. Also, the rooms are carpeted which can cause some dust flare ups if you’re sensitive. The bathroom was amazing, the shower was divine. Absolutely incredible water pressure. Great place for a stay!

We had Sunday lunch at Hotel Du Vin and received the most amazing service by Patricia. She was new to the team & how lucky is Hotel Du vin to have her! The food was delicious, I had the salmon fish cake & very much enjoyed it with lots of side dishes as well. Thank you so much Patricia for really making our day so special. The photos you took both in & outside for us are now wonderful life long memories!

£154 for a broom closet with black mould in the bathroom, falsely advertised with king bed which was just a double, very noisy due to you laying your head 2 feet away from the main hallway separated by only an old Victorian door that a cat could squeeze under, cold because why would you get heating or air conditioning at this price point ( there was a dyson fan but no remote ) what a joke this is a very pretentious place. Save your self the disappointment by this “ upscale “ hotel and go to a simple Hilton for this money I got an executive room with super king size bed and breakfast included!

Enjoyed my stay. It is a good hotel to stay if you are planning to be in Tunbridge Wells. The rooms are big with high ceilings. You will definitely not feel claustrophobic.

An excellent stay. The Hotel was charming and in a great location in the centre of the town. All the staff were very smart and polite. The room (Brown Brothers) was very large with a very comfortable Super King bed and had views across the gardens. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was superb.

Fantastic stay, really well looked after here, such a nice atmosphere. We felt like we were part of the family after just one day Room was amazing, food delicious (they were really good with allergies) and nothing seemed too much trouble. We cannot wait to return! Thanks especially to Patrycja + Vitali, who made sure our food was perfect!

Went for a champagne afternoon tea on the 12th October with my mother which was a birthday treat for her. It was the worst afternoon tea we have ever had. The bread on the sandwiches were very dry and tasted stale. The cakes weren't the best and also seemed like they weren't freshly made. Certainly won't be back or recommend it to anybody.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time away at Hotel Du Vin in Tunbridge Wells, we were visiting family in the area and the location was ideal. Staff were all very friendly and happy to help us. Looking forward to coming back!

Fabulous birthday treat with my family. Cosy drink in the bar. Wonderful meal in the restaurant with excellent service. My son said the best steak ever from his children's menu choice and a special birthday treat added at the end We will be back

Best thing about this hotel is the staff, wonderful. Room was tired and dark, needed painting. Bathroom very nice. Food very good. Breakfast very nice. Vastly overpriced, £357 plus breakfast. Just for a Saturday night. Will not repeat the experiance.

Have to say this place is a great place to stay for accommodation, food and location. The bar staff were exemplary and the access to town - perfect. Will return again.

Excellent service at a recent event. Very friendly staff, nice food, and a special mention to a great waitress called Freya. Will definitely be back for more events in the future.

🏨 First impressions. Lovely hotel. Beautiful decor inside. Very friendly and courteous staff. Dog friendly rooms and bar! 🏆 Room: 💰 We paid £198 for a junior suite to have a king size bedroom with small bed for a child and 2 dogs. One night only. We fitted inside the room comfortably. The child’s bed was fine, but it was a shame that the hotel emphasised an additional cost for linen and then left us with a single duvet inside a double duvet cover. Dog beds and bowls were great. Shower and bathroom was super-clean and spacious, although long and thin. The shower’s power was weak. We opened the window to let air in and the room was still quiet (next to main road). Bar/food 🍷: No beer on tap, but bottled beer and plenty spirits and wine. The chap behind the bar was very friendly and considerate. He acknowledged that we was the only one ‘on duty’ and that service was slow. The bar and a few tables were covered in empty glasses. It’s a lovely bar atmosphere/space. We were sat in the dining area of the bar having had drinks in the smaller space (with 2 dogs). It was almost empty at 2030hrs so it was spacious enough to sit with dogs and not annoy anyone else 😂 - food service was really slow. We only ordered olives, saucisson and a (medium rare) rump steak with parsnips and carrots. All delicious, and perfectly cooked. Other: Parking is £10 per night. The car park is tiny (x20) and there is an overflow (x10) - book in advance. The hotel is next to the theatre, town hall and train station. There are plenty places to eat within walking distance.

Really excellent hotel though not cheap. Old building, very pleasant interior. Bedroom spacious and very comfortable bed. Food excellent, staff helpful. My only complaint is that there is a very poor choice of beers in the bar. Otherwise great!

We had an amazing time at the boutique Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells. The hotel is situated in central Tunbridge Wells in an Grade 2 listed Georgian. It has been beautifully decorated in keeping with the building's historic significance. The service from all of the staff was oustanding and the food in the bistro was phenomenal. Would very much recommend staying at this hotel.

Be warned that the "eco clean" means no room make up at all, unless you specifically ask for, e.g., a coffee & tea top-up or to empty the litter bin. Otherwise a most enjoyable experience, and the staff are warm, friendly and helpful.

Had a cocktail in the bar. The barman was on his own and serving way more people than was practical. They'd ran out of lots of things (mint for mojitos and Pimms, blueberries and grapefruit for brockmans, just a couple of examples). I ended up having a espresso martini which was bland, and not made with fresh espresso. For the price, a disappointment.

Great place to stay whilst in Tunbridge Wells or if travelling and need a break. Lovely rooms with helpful staff. Highly recommend getting a room with a bath as they are lovely and deep

Staff absolutely lovely and really accommodating (they arranged a pre-7am breakfast for my partner - delivered to the room and excellent) but the breakfast downstairs let them down completely. Poached eggs and bacon on toast came hard as a rock on unbuttered toast. Tasteless and hugely disappointing for the money paid. Lovely building, lovely staff, but they really need to do something about the breakfast chefs. Really did not come close to the experience I have had at other Hotel Du Vin locations!

Hotel du Vin hosted a two-day event for a team of business leaders. We stayed at the hotel and used a meeting room, bar and restaurant. On-site staff could not have been more helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly for us. Pre-event support for planning was excellent, covering lots of details including reserving named parking spaces for our guests, a private dining room, precisely timed service of refreshments during the day.

To be honest, this stay would have been a five star if the price reflected the room, service and amenities. For nearly £400 (apparently with an event discount), a room where you can barely swing a cat and not even a bathtub seems a little expensive. You could not book online so the prices advertised are not the ones available at the hotel. The room was tired with lots of touch up paintwork and a hideous red graphic carpet with a feature slate grey wallpapered wall. At this price point, you expect modern and tasteful. The hotel also bolted its external doors so whilst we were sitting at the end of the evening, we had to let people in coming back from a wedding. This would be a recommendation if the cost had been halved.
