My visit was because of a wedding package. Its a lovely, intimate venue that is accommadating and friendly. The food was perfect and the choices extensive. We were allowed our dogs and ultimately that's what we were looking for.

We ordered Steak: it was not much taste in it. The pan was not hot enough so the steak was like steam cooked and it’s over cooked. We ordered medium and it turned out like the picture. It’s hard Duck breast was soso the texture was fine but it’s not been marinated or not process enough Lamb was fine Nachos was soso the cheese was nice

My husband and I had our wedding at The Barn in September 2021 and the venue was truly magical. We had the most memorable day; one we will never forget. We instantly loved the venue when viewing photos online, and when we viewed the venue for the first time in February 2019 alongside Philippe, who was so welcoming, we booked the venue straight away without wanting to see any other venues. Our wedding was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020, but due to COVID it was pushed back several times. Luckily, after waiting 18 months, we finally tied the knot in September 2021. Janet was absolutely amazing throughout and was always there to answer our questions. It took us five attempts, but we got there in the end, and Janet could not have been more accommodating. The Barn is such a beautiful venue and perfect for the 64 daytime guests we had. It was intimate, especially the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted. Phillipe and the rest of the team decorated the venue so beautifully; it was honestly better that we could have ever imagined. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and this made the day run smoothly. The food was amazing; from the canapes, to the sit-down meal and then the evening buffet. They also have so many wonderful additions that you can include in your package and we opted for the sweet cart, which everyone loved, and even made use of The Barn's "Mr & Mrs" canvas and easel for our welcome sign. The venue is in a fantastic location, with great transport links and a beautiful park across the road, which is where we had our gorgeous wedding photos taken. The Barn provide a list of outstanding wedding suppliers, which was a great help when planning our wedding as we didn't really know where to begin. We were fortunate enough to work with some of their recommended suppliers; Helen England as our photographer, Cut Above Productions as our videographer, Colonnade Florist and Luke Swift as our DJ. All are AMAZING and we would highly recommend each of their services. We cannot recommend The Barn highly enough. It is the perfect wedding venue and all our guests adored the venue. Janet and Phillipe, from the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you enough! We will certainly be returning each year for food and drinks, and to reminiscence our special day. Nice pleasant pub very clean and a lovely pint of Harvey's looking forward to trying the food another time. Tried the food the next day and wow amazing. My wife had the lamb rump and even though she like her meat well cooked it was super tender. I went for the duck and wow amazing the sauce is awesome I was wanting to ask for some bread to soak it all up. Desert was just as good as the starter and the main. The staff are very polite and friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. Highly recommended place to eat.

Five years ago i got married here, today my wife and I came here with my parents. We had a three course meal which was very nice indeed. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful my mother has a gluten intolerance, but this wasn't a problem because most of the food on offer was gluten free. Honestly you won't find a more friendly place to eat and have a drink. I personally recommend it to anyone. Just brilliant 👏 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wow what a great find, 5 mins from train station, great food , reasonably priced. Good size portions & very good value for money We sat in the conservatory overlooking well maintained pub garden full of flowers. Would highly recommend this place.

Attended a wedding here. It's a lovely venue although parking is dreadful as its on a private road so you need to park in the town carparks. There is a lovely atmosphere and they served superb food eith an excellent selection of drinks at the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful and really made the wedding special. We really enjoyed the day.

We went there for Christmas lunch with our friends and I can tell you this restaurant is one of the best in this category. Food was amazing , service is excellent as they are very friendly, professional and quick and their prices are acceptable. I would recommend it for everyone and I will go back definitely .

We recently had our wedding at The Barn and from the moment we contacted Philippe we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. With only 4 months between booking and event it was great that communication and planning with Janet was easy, flexible, timely and supportive – from our plans with various music playlists needed on different sound systems to arranging our rehearsal the day before, all the little details were accommodated. The location of The Barn is really accessible being in the centre of town, with plenty of places for guests to stay nearby, yet it feels very private as it is set away from the main road down a private street with no passing traffic. It is a gorgeous venue, really intimate but with plenty of space for our 70 guests, and the team had done an excellent job of setting up and laying out our table decorations beautifully; it was a wonderful space for us to connect with our guests. All the staff were professional, friendly and helpful throughout the event; many of our guests commented on how lovely they were, along with how fantastic the venue was. The food was delicious, guests choose from 4 meals on each course, and every one of them looked amazing, we’ve heard many compliments of every option. Service throughout the meal was excellent, a good level of attentive, efficient and unobtrusive, they served a large room at a good pace. The whole running of the day was done smoothly, changing areas worked really well, we hardly noticed the hard work going on downstairs while we had our meal. We can’t thank the team at The Barn enough for helping us have such a wonderful day and we highly recommend this wonderful venue!

I had a party last weekend for my belated 60 th birthday and the food and staff were excellent! The three course meal was excellent value at £25 and everyone told me it was great ! Thank you so much for making a special occasion go extremely well and we will be back again in the very near future

Had my wedding here in this beautiful venue. Honestly couldn't have had a better day, everything was set out perfectly, the staff were highly professional and lovely. Any questions we had they answered. The decorations and table layout was spot on. I can't recommend this venue enough if you are looking for somewhere to have your wedding. The garden area provides a beautiful landscape to take pictures with loved ones through the rustic background. Was the best day and night of my life. The food was delicious and everything was fairly priced. The owner was very professional and precise when helping us organise everything through menu selection, table layout and seating to how we wanted the decorations set up. 100% recommend this venue

Wonderful staff and evening, the food was delicious. Although I hated the fact the fajita came with tons of mushrooms baked right in, :) would have been great to have a fresh, zingy salsa or tomato avocado accompaniment to the oily blend of mushroom and pepper, as I had to pick out the mushroom it was just endless peppers in a wrap Besides that it really was a nice meal altogether but I wouldn’t order fajitas again. Bruschetta was delicious but really needed to be a little bigger ✨ Environment is wonderful and very pretty entrance

This is a gem of a restaurant right above a lovely pub (with a nice outside garden near the train station). There is a fixed price set menu and it was really good value for money. The lamb was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful with the source. The kids menu contained a nice variety and good size that was adequate even my older kid. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and comfortable with attentive service. Glad we discovered this and would return.

We attended a wedding here on the 13th August. From the ceremony to the end was excellent. The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding. The Barn could not have delivered a more positive experience. It was a wonderful day for my Nephew and his partner.

Our daughter had her wedding at The Barn yesterday. It was absolutely fabulous! The location is a real little Gem, hidden away, but within walking distance from the train station and walking distance from lovely hotels for guests to stay overnight. The conservatory where the wedding ceremony took place is quite small but lovely. The courtyard is very pretty and has heaters so made it wonderful place to sit outside, even on a chilly night! Then upstairs, where we had the wedding breakfast, is a warm & welcoming area. It was seamless moving between the different areas for the wedding and works very well. All the staff are extremely efficient, friendly, and attentive. Thank you, everything went so smoothly. There was an excellent choice of food, including vegetarian options, which was all very good quality & cooked perfectly. The waiting staff on the tables were very efficient and took great care to ensure wine & water were plentiful during the whole time. The bar staff were really good, very quick, observant & very efficient. The DJ was brilliant, he had everyone, of all ages, up & dancing, all night long. It was a great atmosphere, from the beginning of the evening to the very end, really good fun! Right from the very start of the day to the very end of the day, we couldn't fault any aspect of their big day, it was lovely, absolutely perfect. We had an amazing anniversary meal at The Barn last night. The food was fabulous , the staff were amazing, the atmosphere was perfect. We spent the evening drinking very tasty cocktails and reminiscing on our wedding day (which we had at The Barn) Phillipe made us feel at home since our very first visit to view the venue, which means we love returning.

Lovely meal. Excellent service Food hot. Portions perfect. Not too much but left us all satisfied. Nice selection of food too. Great value. Highly recommend . Price per person spent included drinks. Suggest loyalty card if planning return visits.

Popped here today on a whim. It was a GREAT decision! Food was all so damn good! (Even the runner beans got demolished!) Our little girl decided to be a bit picky but me and my partner enjoyed eating every last bite! And then dessert.. fantastic! Today was perfect for the outdoor seating, which there is loads of. Really enjoyed our visit and the staff were beyond nice. Will definitely be back there next time we visit Tunbridge Wells. Big thanks to all.

I recently made a reservation for my wife and I at The Barn Pub and Restaurant. We were excited to try out this establishment, as we had seen good things about the food and ambiance. However, our experience was far from satisfactory. When I made the reservation, I informed the call taker that we would be a party of two, including one person in a power wheelchair. The call taker informed me that we would have to be seated downstairs and that a menu would be brought down to us. This was not ideal, as we were hoping to dine in a restaurant , where we could enjoy the full ambiance of a pre theater dinner. When we arrived, we encountered further accessibility challenges. We had to navigate a curb in the street, due to cars parked on the pavement, and then would have to go up some steps to reach the entrance. I looked around the corner and saw more steps. This made it impossible for my wife to access the restaurant in her power wheelchair The restaurant is located upstairs, with no lift available. We looked around for an accessible table, but unfortunately, there were none available. As a result, we were unable to dine at The Barn and had to leave. It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, given that we had made a reservation and were looking forward to our meal. Furthermore, the lack of accessibility information, such as a signage or a doorbell for assistance, only made matters worse. It seemed like the restaurant had not taken any steps to accommodate customers with accessibility needs, which was a letdown. We hope that the restaurant takes steps to improve accessibility for all its customers in the future, as it is essential for all establishments to be inclusive and welcoming to everyone.

Pleasant restaurant with a varied menu to cater for all palettes consisting of steak, burger, and other traditional pub dishes as well as nice fish dishes along with vegetarian options... The staff were lovely and attentive, and is always a nice pub to have a drink whilst being in a nice relaxed atmosphere... They have a nice outdoor space which gets very busy during the course of the evening...

My girlfriend and I went out for a romantic meal and we were served by a very polite, welcoming young lady who went above and beyond to make our experience special. My partner and I have both been in hospitality for 15+ years and were extremely impressed by both the service and fantastic meals offered at a very fair price in a lovely warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Invited to the 1992 menu evening and it was outstanding. Arrived early for cocktails, Vodka jellies and cheese board which were great. The 2 barman were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The dinner was fantastic and we would love to come back. The waiter was friendly and made a real difference.

My wife and I had our wedding here this bank holiday weekend and it was absolutely perfect! The staff were so friendly and helpful. All our guests were so complimentary about the venue and the way they had used our things to decorate the place. The ceremony, wedding breakfast and reception were truly magical. We couldn't have asked for a better day. It is clear to see why they have won so many awards. Excellent service for an outstandingly reasonable price.

Was here as part of a funeral wake. Having moved away from area a long time ago this was first visit in some 40 years+ It's changed a bit! 😁 Staff were efficient, the served buffet was very good. Under better circumstances (for me) a nice place to sit.

Office group went there for Christmas meal some years back. We were given a long table along the end inside where there were two swing doors behind our table leading to Gents Toilet. Every time a man went through these doors a very, very unpleasant stink of men's urine wafted past us on our table as we were eating. First, clearly the men's toilets were not maintained and cleaned in a hygienic manner and secondly, there should have been a secondary door after the swing doors for obvious reasons. 4 My next experience at The Barn (not my choice) was a year or so ago. Four of us were seated outside. One ordered mixed grill. It was a poor imitation of a mixed grill: two rashers of bacon which looked fried, sausage, egg, small piece of steak. There was a thick black hair on her plate. This doesn't say much for hygiene. Don't the cooks wear head covers? Her chips were not hot and neither were mine. We had to ask for fresh hot chips. At the end of the day, the chips were about the only decent part of the meal. Very poor indeed. Don't eat there.

We had dinner at the Barn 5.30pm. You have choice of 2 menus and you can choose either 2 or 3 course. We had 3 courses for £24.95 each. Food was presented very well and came out beautifully cooked and hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

Positively surprised with how cosy and nice this place is, even though it's right next to the train station. The upstairs restaurant has a great atmosphere, food is great. Downstairs bar and bear gardens with outside seating. Thumbs up for this one.

We held our wedding at The Barn in May this year, it was the best decision we ever made. The team at The Barn were absolutely wonderful and were on hand for anything that we needed and made us so relaxed in what could be a stressful day, they kept reminding is its your day if you want to do something different then it's OK. We 1st viewed The Barn in 2019 and fell in love with it then Covid hit, but we already knew we wanted to go back as you cannot beat the value, packages, location and the team behind the scenes running it all. We had our wedding at The Barn on the 28/12/23. Janet and Philippe and their team could not have been more helpful and attentive. We had less less than 8 weeks from start to finish and Janet told us everything we need to get done from booking the ceremony to advise on flowers suppliers, Toast Masters, DJ's, they were amazing. Philippe is head of the restaurant. They had plenty of menu choices and catered for various dietary requirements.We had the whole thing under one roof, so no transportation issues. The barn looked stunning, especially with the Christmas theme, our guests loved it. It was an incredible, magical day that we will never forget. Thank you Janet and Philippe

Recently had the pleasure of the Barn hosting my wedding reception and party! Could not fault one thing! Janet, Philippe and the team were amazing throughout the whole process! All of my guests have said what an amazing venue it was and the food was exceptional! I would 100% recommend The Barn as a wedding venue! Philippe was amazing and even found my husbands wedding ring that he had lost during the celebration!
