We attended Evenwood last night for dinner on a spur of the moment. On arrival the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed and we were shown directly to a table. When ordering unfortunately Carvery was not available but we ordered from the menu instead. Staff were all polite and helpful. James delivered our meals to the table and was a lovely, helpful and polite server. Went the extra mile for us. The food was hot, well presented and proportioned. We even grabbed a piece of cake to take home. A great experience and we will be returning again soon.

Have been here before, and Evenwood never disappoints. The carvery is excellent as are the other dishes. We were served by Allan, and like all other staff members are helpful and friendly. The place is spotless, and obviously a lot of attention goes into keeping the place clean and tidy inside and out.

Went to Evenwood Farm whilst waiting for a car repair and couldn’t have been made more welcome by Allan. He found me a quiet table close to a socket so I could work while I waited and was happy to help with anything I needed. I stayed for food which was very good and reasonably priced. Excellent service in a very good pub.

I really do enjoy visiting the evenwood farm for a meal from time to time. We visited recently for my birthday meal. The pub was packed filled with customers, We had made a reservation for a party if 4 as we knew it might be packed. When we arrived we were seated on a very small tablet that would have been fantastic for 2 people not 4. We asked about moving but there were no tables available. Eventually we were able to move to a bigger table before eatten as another family had finished. Staff behind the bar are friends and food arrived quickly. The food was warm and delicious. The cake away section is as amazing as always and definitely worth a try on your visit. Update visit on the 02/06/2023 Very quiet with plenty of tables to choose from. The staff are super friendly and helpful with every part of the experience. Food was absolutely delicious and arrive quickly. I found out it is actually quicker to order on the app than through the tills. I actually think this is alittle sad to encourage people to use phones over face to face with the staff, but that is the time we live in.

AWFUL customer service - arrived at 11:40 the pub is empty and just wanting a quick stop and food however currently sat outside with a screaming toddler and another 2 kids who are hungry as we had to leave because the blonde woman at the welcome sign said " you have arrived at a weird time to be honest you will have to wait until 12:15 to order any food because of the carvery and breakfasts finished" even my 5 year old commented on how rude she was blaming us for arriving at a weird time- what sort of establishment with a kitchen of that size can't keep a breakfast menu on until noon and the transition into carvery or even have a kids menu on? Shocking customer service. We came due to previous positive visits however we will not be returning

Want to give a big shout out to Allan who was the manager at the time of our visit. The lady who served us at the bar fell far short of customer service expectations-and I don’t like to complain because I understand how the hospitality business has struggled since covid.However for front of house it just wasn’t a great experience. Allan intervened and completely owned the situation.Well done-it would have been very easy to ignore the problem but he was passionate about trying to improve my perceptions and listened to my feedback with empathy. Well done Allan -you are an ambassador for your company-you can work for me anytime.

We visited after a long day out. We were served by Allan and he was so helpful when we first arrived and found us a table to accommodate 7 of us as it was quite busy in the children's area. I also needed some help due to my children having allergies and he was super helpful in finding the information. He was friendly, cheerful and very welcoming!

A return visit because we like so much. Competitive prices and good quality food with an excellent selection of vegetables. Pleasant and efficient service especially by Helen who looked after us. It's lovely when a person smiles. Good beer, well served and chilled in a proper glass.

Just had a lovely all you can eat buffet breakfast. The food was good and the service excellent, especially from Allan. Would recommend and will doing this again. Thanks Allan.

I recently visited Evenwood with a large group of family - 14 including 5 children - and I couldn't recommend it enough. The food was delicious, good value for money and there was plenty of choice for all of the family. The staff were so friendly and attentive, especially with the little ones which made a usually chaotic outing run very smoothly! Charlotte was especially brilliant and couldn't have done more for us. Thank you for a lovely meal - we will definitely be back.

Former employee so a slight biased opinion ! But as a customer I really enjoyed my evening ! With my Missus and Mate ! Great service at the bar from Joe and Harry ! And Kat made our dessert look brilliant ! I do miss some of the team but much prefer being a customer of Evenwood then an employee of Greene King. But the team made our evening really nice !

We had our festive works for this afternoon there was 9 of us in the party. The food was delicious and the staff so helpful and friendly. People should give more thanks to the staff here especially over the Christmas period. They all work so hard it’s so nice to see such a genuinely welcoming face from the managers when you enter, we had one member of the party with an allergy, and Charlotte (I believe is her name) couldn't do any more to help and ensure food was safe for my friend. I ordered a carvery today and delivered by just eat. I have to be honest and say the food was awful. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been reheated from the previous day. You would think on a Sunday the food would be freshly made. This absolutely was not the case with today's food. I ordered the 2 meat meal and received a small slice of gammon and a small slice of beef. I don't know what had happened with the quality of food but I am so dissapointed with what I received today. Going on just today I would not recommend the food. I can't give it more than 1* . I have had carvery from here before and it's been lovely but not today. Very unhappy with it today.

The carvery never disappoints. It's something I don't eat very often and it works out cheaper to eat out, when you live alone. Our roast dinner was followed by a crunchy munchy each. I don't normally go for a cold dessert but I make an exception in this case. The Evenwood is always clean and the staff are always pleasant. A lovely meal spent with a friend visiting from Wales.

Well done Evenwood! Looked good and tasted good. To be fair it's a while since we've been here because the last time we were here it was poor. The quality has definitely improved. My only complaint (for which I'm not reducing my rating) was we asked for a takeout box, for our little girl, and it never came.

Friendly staff and good food . Fairly okay ale selection but could do with some more choice on larger and ipas on draft . Friendly staff that were quick to serve us .

Had a lovely experience here on Saturday! Allan and Sophie and the team were very accommodating. All the team were very happy and bubbly! Liam the carvery chef was amazing and gave us a warm welcome! He always makes the best carvery! Couldn’t thank Allan enough, he took great care of us! We will definitely be back! See you next time!

A usually pleasant experience ruined by the Greene King App, ordered carvery and drinks, 30 minutes after waiting went for carvery but no drinks, 40 minutes reminded staff of the drink situation, 45 minutes later drinks and food eaten. Call me traditional but I’d like a drink before and with my meal but not at the Evenwood! On to the quality of the food, low. Fresh beef was full of fat, fresh Yorkshire Puddings needed a pickaxe to cut, potatoes like shot puts. Not a good experience which is a shame

Just been there for a carvery, I've been to too many carverys, but let me tell you,you will not get a better one than in the Evenwood always piping hot,and I've never tasted roasties like ,hats off to the cheif,

Love going Evenwood, normally never a issue, ordered the combo classic or of 6 chicken strips an 2 chicken breast, for 11.99 an add a steak to it for £5 extra. Chicken strips, steak an breast where really small an one chicken breast was hard on the outside. Will stick to carvery next time, there always spot on.

We go in hear a lot and every time with out doubt the food is perfect .I would like to say that Allan is an amazing bartender and is always great at for filling are needs .he will make sure we have everything we need and all the food is made to perfection. If there is ever anything wrong with are food(which is very rare)he will make up for it .I would definitely recommend this .Allan is amazing and I would like to say a big thank you to him.5star review for Allan

Added extra onion rings as a side when it was not requested as a side to pay for. Pumpkin soup was very spicy and there was no service for 30 minutes. Food was very tasty though and staff was kind and friendly.

Visited on a fairly quiet week day. We had to wait over 1 hour for 3 of our group's meals meaning we eat at different times. We were offered free drinks and deserts but with only 1 member of staff behind the bar we had to wait again to order. Really poor service won't be back EVER. Also the meals were lukewarm at best

Although food, drink, staff and venue was good, I have an issue with the blue light card 20% off as advertised or rather the not 20% off . There's a new way of presenting the blue light discount, now it has to be through the app through the farmhouse section, you cant just present your blue light card in the usual way to get a true 20% off. The app takes off the 20% discount then adds the VAT back on from the discount so end result NOT 20% off ( £72 to £63 is not 20% off.) To me it seems like a bit of trickery is going on , a bit of a loop hole so they can still charge the customer more and not give the true 20% off. I feel you should either make it perfectly clear that it is not the full 20% off blue light card holders are getting or give the full 20% as advertised.

Good pub/restaurant. They have an all you can eat breakfast of a morning and also carvery later on in the day both of which is very nice and the prices are also good. They have a great selection of cakes/deserts which will be a big hit for anyone with a sweet tooth. The place is a descent size and there is plenty of parking but does get busy especially for the carvery so might be worth booking in advance.

Great, quick service, fantastic breakfast menu, quality food and all at a super affordable price! Always so happy with my visits here and the team members are excellent! Special mention to Carol who was a delight and couldn’t do enough for us. Can’t wait to visit again soon.

Had our regular dinner out today(Fri). I love my fish and chips but rest of family love the carvery. Always fast service and a special mention to Allan who was really friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We come most Fridays. Never disappoints. 100%satisfied again. BRILLIANT will defo be going bk. Brilliant experience here at Evenwood, Carvery was tasty and Charlotte couldn’t have been more helpful! And let’s not forget the cakes which were to die for. Thank you Charlotte and team for today we will defiantly be coming again.
