Sometimes you come across a 5 star rating. You think by yourselves “ this can not be true”. It can be. We have had a splendid stay. Valerie and Marthe are making you at home immediately. What a nice hosts they are. Room is by far the best we have ever had.

Wow! What a beautiful, peaceful, wonderful place. We had the great fortune to stay in Le Jardin suite for one night, and wish it could have been a much longer stay. The suite is perfectly decorated and looks out onto a gorgeous garden, and the kitchenette had everything needed. Maison Ailleurs is just a block or two from the cathedral, so we were easily able to see the light show after dark, which is quite amazing. To top it all off, Valerie and Marthe are the kindest hosts. We made a very embarrassing error with our rental car, and Valerie went WAY above and beyond to try to help out. If you are visiting Chartre, do yourself a favor and stay at Maison Ailleurs!

The building, the garden and the appartement itself make for a lovely stay in the centre of Chartres. Everything is very high quality, including breakfast. Great eye for details. The high ceilings, the carpets, the stylish furniture and decoration, the comfortable bed (and sleeping couch), the well equipped kitchenette, the location and overall serenity: we loved all of it. I would definitely recommend staying here!

It was a beautifully decorated chateaux. The rooms are clean and tidy also have a small kitchen area. The beds are lovely and comfortable. The family who run it a really welcoming and a great couple. The breakfast was yummy. It is very peaceful. The location of the château is in the centre of town handy for the restaurant and shops . Great place to stay

Wow, what an entrance as you enter from the courtyard. You immediately immerse into Valerie’s property up an authentic winding stairway and along traditional clay flooring to the room. We stayed in the Bleu de Chartres which was immaculate whilst creating a thoughtful creative space which immersed you in the environment making ultimately tranquil and relaxing stay. Valerie was very helpful and friendly. Will certainly be recommending and using again when we travel down through France.

The perfect and quiet place to explore Chartres, 5min from the cathedral. Private parking, nice garden and stylish rooms.
