I
did
the
4
days,
3
nights
combo
tour
(jungle
+
pampas)
and
it
was
one
of
the
best
experiences
I
have
had
while
travelling
overseas.
In
the
jungle
you
spend
time
in
the
Amazon
learning
about
native
plants
and
their
uses,
how
to
build
a
raft
(and
then
using
it
to
get
back
to
your
accommodation),
and
visiting
an
indigenous
community,
and
of
course
looking
for
animals
such
as
various
species
of
monkeys,
birds,
spiders,
snakes,
and
other
animals.
Then
in
the
pampas
you
will
spend
time
on
a
boat
viewing
capybaras,
caimans,
turtles,
birds,
and
dolphins,
as
well
as
time
off
the
boat
looking
for
anacondas,
monkeys,
and
other
animals.
There
is
also
piranha
fishing,
which
you
can
eat
for
dinner,
and
in
the
wet
season
swimming
with
the
freshwater
dolphins.
While
you
see
more
animals
in
the
pampas,
the
jungle
is
where
you
experience
more
of
the
Amazon,
and
spend
more
time
trekking.
I
would
recommend
a
combo
tour
to
get
the
best
of
both
worlds.
The
food
is
great,
really
delicious,
and
the
accommodation
is
comfortable
enough
for
what
it
is.
However,
be
aware
that
the
jungle
tour
requires
hours
(3-4
hrs)
of
consecutive
hiking,
so
if
you
are
not
fit,
then
it
can
be
very
tiring.
Also
note
that
the
temperature
is
extremely
hot
most
days,
and
you
need
to
wear
long
pants
so
that
you
don't
get
scratched
by
trees,
or
get
bitten
by
ants
or
snakes.
Note
that
luck
plays
a
part,
as
the
animals
may
not
be
easy
to
find
in
the
jungle
(in
the
pampas
they
are
always
there),
but
having
a
good
guide
is
the
biggest
factor.
I
had
Wilmar,
an
English-speaking
guide
who
grew
up
in
the
jungle.
He
has
so
much
experience,
he
can
call
to
monkeys
by
mimicking
their
calls,
and
can
hear
animals
from
over
a
hundred
metres
away.
I
was
so
impressed
when
he
would
pause,
then
run
into
the
jungle
(off
the
track)
with
the
group
following
for
over
a
minute,
and
then
above
us
would
be
a
group
of
squirrel
monkeys.
He
could
also
create
fans
and
water
bottle
holders
out
of
plants
in
the
jungle.
Extremely
resourceful,
and
very
funny
and
friendly
person.
If
you
could
request
Wilmar,
I
recommend
you
do
so.
Thanks
again
Mashaquipe
and
especially
Wilmar
for
a
fantastic
tour!
Also,
had
to
postpone
the
tour
by
one
day
at
the
last
minute
because
of
flight
issues,
but
Mashaquipe
accommodated
with
no
issues
at
all.
Fantastic
service
:)
