When we arrived in the hostel we lay our clothes drying on the balcony. We went out for dinner. When we came back at midnight all of our clothes had flown on the roof. We had to leave early in the morning so we decided to take our clothes back on the roof. When the owners noticed they started screaming and shouting for the whole neighbourhood, threatening us and forcing us to leave the hostel immediately. They claimed we were hooligans who were destroying the hostel on purpose. We immediately started packing but they kept making a scene, screaming at us, trowing our clothes on the street, physically us. It was a traumatising experience for the 3 of us. We were alone on the street in the middle of the night in a town we didn’t know. Luckily a friendly hotel owner took us in.

We stayed at this hostel in between our amazonia tours and it was nice! They are pretty far outside the town which was not ideal, so although nice, I personally would have probably stayed somewhere closer to the center of the town. Especially when walking at night back to the hostel as a traveler, it is a bit confusing and there were fighting dogs in the street to be aware of. This hostel did not have wifi available in the rooms, but has some connection down in the dining room area. The bedroom looked and felt clean, and the service of the workers was great! They provided extra blankets and the shared bathrooms were pretty nice. They also offered a free welcome drink that was plentiful strong and good! The woman who checked us in and served us drinks was very personable and nice. The reason for 3 stars is because of the wifi not working in our rooms, the location and the rooster next store that was very committed to his job...even before the sun rose. The breakfast was some bread and a banana. They had a cute cat that would come cuddle in your lap though!

Decent hostel outside town. But not too far, still walkable. Kitchen is sometimes untidy, no kitchen towels or kitchen essentials, food was stolen twice. One out of three showers didnt work. Bathrooms kind of clean. Yes, it is noisy coz there are no glass windows, just mosquito nets, like most places in the amazon. But that's completely fine if you use earplugs. You can hang out in their pther hostels with pool and bar. Staff is very nice. Warm showers. Luggage storage. Towels included. No breakfast. Great price!

I loved it there as the owners are very nice, give you all the information you need and are fluent in english. The shower pressure is a bit low, but with a bit of patience you‘ll be all right. Also great cocktails and the best burger I‘ve had in Bolivia so far.

I don't know how this place has such high ratings. I chose a private room to stay with my partner. The lock didn't work on my door from the inside, only from the outside. Instead, you use a latch lock and a weak chain to lock from the inside. Also there is access to your private room from public bathroom, as someone can jump over the wall. See photos. The condition of the room is very basic and unfinished. The heat is stifling, with no aircon or air flow except a fan which doesn't help. Mosquito nets are ripped, and the place is very noisy, with dogs barking and roosters crowing even at night (not even in the morning). Best value hostel in Rurre, super comfy beds, 3 showers, big kitchen with perfect wifi, lockers, free breakfast, bar and restaurant, laundry, hammocks, fairy lights, awesome pets (including parrot!).
