Awful. Covid test process seemed designed to maximise physical contact- loads of queuing (so why give appt?), had to pay in a different building (why?), lots of back and forth and no clarity on process or timing. And they don't email the results!!! Why? Why do you want people who might be positive coming back and queuing again?? ICL was much better experience. Avoid if you can. Am traveling for family emergency so the stress was really painful.

The worst hospital to go to in Addis Ababa. Here is why, my wife and I took our one month old baby girl to them. The doctor did physical examination asked us for blood checkup. They told us the blood results would be available within an hour and a half but by the time we checked they told us the result would be ready the next morning. We followed up on them the next morning but they told us it is not ready and it will be ready the next day because they ran out of some sort of reagent to taste the blood. They were very unprofessional, totally wasted our time and couldn't even respond properly to our questions... the doctor was saying we needed the results ASAP and since they failed to deliver on time we went to another place. The center claims to be a high-end medical center which I found out to be the worst place to take your loved ones.

This medical center is horrible. I highly suggest you seek assistance else where. Went to get their service for a medical that needed to be submitted to the US embassy. They tried to reschedule us twice and tried to school us on how the embassy works. It is not their business to tell us how things work at the embassy but to have the medical result ready and submitted according to the time frame they said they would complete it. They keep delaying until your interview date and receptionist Tigist was very helpful after a lot of back and forth. But, Dr. Maeida Oumer Hussen was exceptionally rude. She had an attitude and very unprofessional all she wanted to do was get rid of us did not want to hear what we wanted to say. She told me there was no higher person that we can speak to which is why I'm doing this review so save your money and go else where. Once they get your money they will reschedule you until your appointment day to get the results and get it submitted. Their excuse is that it doesn't make any difference whether the medical is ready for the interview or not the embassy will accept when its ready and my thin g is do your job if you say you will have things ready in a week have it ready.

I don’t know where to begin but I’m beyond amazed and extremely proud of American Medical Center. I felt I’m in a western hospital from the treatment I received from the doctors all the way to the lower level. Who stands out also is the firefighter (her name is Ethiopia), who goes around and around, nonstop, checking on outpatients and assuring us we will be seen next and defusing any tense situation(s) that may arise . Consistency is another major issue most fail in this country, and AMC has set the standard high and never lets up. A little bit of friendly approach by the guards concerning parking can go a long way.

Unfortunately I have been here many times. And the doctors love to argue and don’t follow standard procedure. I am a doctor as well. They always bruise you while sampling blood and once they even collected my mom’s blood drop by drop exposed to air 💀💀💀 I have never seen such practice in any country or my life. Wish I recorded for WHO to see. Also they don’t have a surgeon so if you burn yourself please go to Smartain hospital next door. And the pharmacy never restocks medication so if you have cigna card or some insurance good luck because they never have anything.

I called yo American medical center for covid test . they told me it would take 3 hr with Etb 2500. I went to the center and was told it would take 4 hours finally I received after 6 hours. I personallly never recommed anyone to go there. Poor service with poor management. DON'T GO THERE

Very greedy people. The beds are broken, restrooms are dirty and not safe for patients but you pay more than 40k/night. Doctor are disrespectful don't worry about patient's health but money. Shameful that such hospital exist. Don't recommend this hospital. Ministry of health should follow this hospital.

Liars! Liars they are! I heard they started testing for covid and the results would be ready in 8 hours. It's been 24 hours and they didnt call me plus they turned the phones off so i couldn't contact them. I purposely went there cause they promised 8 hours but no they didn't. 100% I don't recommend.

The most unreliable center for sensitive appointments like the US embassy. They just don't care about anyone once they receive their payment.

These people told me i get my covid 19 results in 8 hours and it's Been 27 hours and nothing yet. I didn't come out all the way to the countryside in summit and pay double the the price they charge in ICL just to have a worse experience☹️☹️☹️ You're disappointing.

Bad place for covid 19 taste, they don't have any sense of time value, I waited more than 4 hours for the taste result and poor payment system, technically we paid more than the necessary price which they told us before the tests.

This medical center is not as you see it from outside. It is a disaster. its employees do not know their role and how they should behave when receiving and serving customers. I personally encountered unethical and unprofessional behavior from one of the employees. This is a strong indicator that the center is not managing its staff well and, hence , is delivering poor services. From my own experience, I don't recommend people to go there. I believe there are much better places than this center, which have quality services and proper reception in the beautiful Addis Ababa City.

Horrible experience, worst hospital to visit and unreasonably expensive.

The line outside the ultrasound room is more like a government office than a private clinic. On top of that waiting in line is hell as you constantly deal with people who barge in front of you. The ultrasound techs allow people who are not in line to get service before you. No respect for the patients waiting in line. In short, chaotic. Will never come here again.

I went to American Medical Center looking for vaccinations that weren’t available required by the university that I’m going to. The service I got at the hospital was amazing, and I would like to thank Dr. Anteneh for his help and his guidance throughout the whole process.

The whole staff is overwhelmingly cooperative and supportive for any of your request. The best example to this end is Dr. Anteneh Tirusew. If you are student looking for medical examination for your study abroad, ask for this young, disciplined and cooperative Dr. My five star rating goes to American Medical Center in the name of Dr Anteneh Tirusew, who is indeed TIRUSEW.

If possible, I'd like to offer a rating of 0. All of them are not professionals who are only here to extort money from people. I had an ultrasound, and when I went to get it, they informed me that the ultrasound doctor also worked at another nearby clinic, so I would have to wait until he returned. I will never suggest this clinic to anybody 👎👎👎

Not a bad place, good environment, good staff The only thing I'm not very happy about is that they are money oriented and you can actually see it, like for 1 night stay i was asked 60000 birr deposit? And the bed and nurse is about 3500 birr and yet they asked me that at 1000pm, if my atm didn't work i would have been kicked out, lolll Anyways don't forget what hospitals stand for which is serving the community

Very poor service and appointment plan The lab person couldn’t find any where they supposed to be I have to wait for them to come down, the service ,disappointment and everything is the same year by year no improvement at all they are just charging money for nothing the reason that I’m going bcoz it’s near by for me and we got disappointment every day

Edited: After follow up by the management, I am glad to say my issue has been resolved and the owner's concern for their clientele is highly commendable. I had paid when I was told medical results would be available in 10 days and has been one month now. Coordination and responsibility is lacking.

Super expensive for nothing!

I had a great experience at AMC. Dr. Anteneh was a wonderful physician who thougtfully followed through with my vaccination requirement and health assessment. Moreover, the staff was always helpful, kind and professional. The open air lobby is also a lovely refreshing site not to be missed. I am so glad I chose AMC and would highly recommend to anyone.

The service I got at American medical center was spectacular, especially from Dr. Anteneh. I went looking for vaccinations that weren’t available required by my university and he gave me the time and helped call different medical institutes looking for them. He was very helpful and guided me through the whole medical process for college.

I am thrilled by the services at AMC. My experience at AMC was to get immunization shots of COVID-19, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, TDap, etc. Even though all these shots were not available in the center, Dr. Anteneh Tirusew helped me to connect with ICL for IGRA test, directed me to the Washington Medical Center, Nordic Medical Center, etc. to capture missing shots. Still there were missing shots in the entire country. For these missing ones, Anteneh has issued a medical certificate requesting health facilities abroad to give me shots. Lastly, service fees are expensive in the center. Customer service line is not always working.

Good hospitality, qualified professionals special thanks to Dr. Anteneh Tirusew and Dr. Amanuel which are very emphatic, cooperative and caring for patients even after medication at AMC. The hospital is well equipped and present with kind, polite and caring employees( doctors, nurses, cleaners and security guards). An overall great health care center but as a drawback it is somehow expensive!

My AMC visit was great for myself and my wife. Dr. Anteneh was very kind, pleasant, and professionally perfect. He listened to our concerns and explained his thoughts patiently. We are grateful to have him as our doctor at that critical time. We are very satisfied with the process and treatment. The laboratory technician Mr. Henok also showed great interest and effort to help us and all patient in the waiting room. I observed him making the new patient comfortable and solve their problems, by talking with the other staff All the staff were great and kind. They made us feel comfortable. My wife and I were grateful for the service we received. My only concern is that we weren’t able to find our first assigned doctor. We waited but she never came to the room. I think there was a communication error between the departments at that time. Fortunately, they solved it by assigning us to Dr. Anteneh. Overall, we had a great visit.

America Hospital is my favorite hospital in Ethiopia, and I think it's because of the good Drs specially Dr Anteneh who really take a good care of his patients.I wish all the hospitals in Ethiopia have a great Dr like him!.thank you so much Dr Anteneh🙏
