A gem in the neighborhood! Me and my family love it a lot we almost go there every day. The staff is professional and always courteous. The place is so relaxing with a beautiful garden as you enjoy workout in the pool or have a coffee by the restaurant. I have used almost all of the facilities, including the spa, gym, pool, and restaurant, and always a pleasant experience. And we look forward to the additional spaces being worked on. Finally, I must add that the cheese cake is to die for😋

My wife and I were in Active8 recreation center. We had separate massage though there's a couple choice. We both did "4 limb sacred secret ", which is 4 hands massage ( two masseuse) The spa area was previously rented out to an outsource company and everything was different. Now the owner of the Active8 is operating the spa as well, now called PLANKTON. The extensive renovation paid off, the spa is amazing technology, architecture, design and decor, as well as professional and curtiouse staff( reception and masseuse) The place have separate male and female areas, both having the same amenities: dry sauna, wet sauna, morroco bath and massage rooms. VIP massage rooms are also available, including personal shower and toilet. We enjoyed very much and we highly recommend the spa.

Day pass for swimming is 600. Nice cold and clean pool. Day pass for Sauna is 700. Good service. Towels and water included. Very relaxing sauna. Showers could be hotter.

I enjoyed swimming and the place is a mazing with fare price I will recomment the pool to any one specially if u r going with kids with different range of swimming skills it is the best.

Very good place with professional staff. The only recurring problem is lack of hot water for shower especially on weekends. It keeps getting repeated and the staff give you different excuses every time you ask. It's frustrating to look for someone to fix the hot water issue after a workout and you have to wait until someone turn on the boiler or something. I really hope they fix this problem as I really like the place.

Wonderful place, bakery has best croissants in Addis for me, Flames restaurant very clean, excellent food, friendly relaxing atmosphere and fair price. I certainly recommend. Definitely will try the bruch on Sunday. One of the best family places in Addis for me. Went again today for brunch… no brunch. Ok still restaurant food was good so we ordered. Portions are half the way it was before, whole family left hungry. I ordered a second plate, it took too long and we left. Before the manager was there and everything went smoothly. These days no management, staff more busy with chit chat among each other, no attention at all to customers. Even for the bill it took long, we said we are leaving bill or no bill. Horrible these days, I hope mngt read this and do something about it. Sad see the place go to pieces. We liked it there, but these days it will take a while before we go again. Reviewed my rating from 5 star to 1 star. A real pity it goes that way.

I have been to active8 several times now and i have to say it is amazing. the staff is exremely friendly and attentive and the masseuse are well trained and know how to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. after the massages i always use the sauna and steam which make it a perfect spa day. i can strongly recommend active8.

Thank you Plankton Staff! I start doing reflexology about six months ago. The environment is so natural & refreshing,the therapists are professional & friendly. The results from the reflexology treatments are amazing! I've had Asthma & Migraine headaches for several years so reflexology helped my health condition, especially during rainy season without my medicine. That is the first time in 3 years. I read some articles about reflexology and how it is helpful for multiple health issues, I just  loved it!

I had to do a survey for a swimming class in Addis. Thanks to the positive feedback given here i decided to start in Active 8. I am glad I did. The place is quite relaxing and the staffs are very friendly compared to other places, I have seen few. My preference was a female trainer, she is really good at it. Anyone who thinks he/she has fear of water she/Genet will definitely help you. I thought I will never know how to swim, now I swim like a fish :-). I recommend both the trainer and the place.

No body is willing to book. Your employees are not willing to book a customer. When I first called she said the system is not working and I can't give you appointment. She told me to call after two hours. When I called after 2 hours she said I will check and call you back. Then I waited for 15 minutes then I called again the girl said I don't have space. I asked her to book me for tomorrow again she is reluctant to book me. I spent half day to get no answer.

Professional staff, excellent restaurant and kids friendly swimming pool. My kids are happy and I’m finally satisfied with their swimming lessons thanks to the female trainer ( Genet) . Genet really knows how to work with kids and my kids 6 and 7 years old now swim like a pro . I highly recommend both the place and the trainer.

Expect to receive one of the worst customer service from the gym and the spa. If you get the package deal for the spa and the gym just know the likely hood of you being able to use the spa is zero. It’s always full.
