I visited Sindh Archives for the first time today, and it was an amazing experience. The Secretary of Tourism and Culture Sindh invited me there to talk about tourism in Sindh. I was surprised to see old photos, handwritten books, and unique treasures from the past. I even saw a book that's about 1000 years old! Sindh Archives is a government department that keeps old records from the subcontinent. It's a great place for researchers, students, and the public to learn from these old treasures. If you're curious about Sindh, this is a must-visit spot. Plus, it's easy to ♿ Access for everyone.

Sindh Archives is the main repository of government of Sindh for preservation of old government records and other archival material. This organisation is the custodian of our national memory. It is a user-centered organization which provides unique and useful information on history and culture of Sindh. It devotes its attention to collecting and preserving primary and secondary source material and securing their access to the visiting researchers. The functionaries of Sindh Archives focussed their attention towards developing services to match changing information needs; to enable the user to understand and utilize effectively the full range of available information services and to maintain relationships with other archives, library services and institutions within and outside the county. We are involved in research and creative work that improves accessibility of centuries old records and collection of valuable books. We look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Sindh Archives have lots of historic records available in different shapes and specifications. An important aspect of records is that it comes from the very formal organisation which is the public administration. It is an organised activity that generates records and which are kept under certain programming Only when we value our own history, we can share it with the world. Sindh Archives contain huge historical collection of records.

The museum where the.documents of Sindh registry have been stored and display for public. They are pre partition and historic documents that are national treasures and one should go visit this place and see them for real. This is what history of Sindh is about. Its open except Saturday and Sunday.

WELCOME! Sindh Archives have the richest, extensive and enviously protected centuries old government records, books and literary rare material. The bare bone is to bring history to life for satisfying the growing appetite of present and future researchers by making this valuable national information.

Sindh Archives is a place, where the treasures of maps and manuscripts about Sindh region (once a state, and currently a province of Pakistan) are preserved in enormously professional manner. It consists old official correspondence, records (i.e. office orders, FIRs, minutes of diverse official meetings, local ‘Jirgas’ and property records) of olden Sindh (the boundaries of which were spread till ‘Lasbela’ and some other districts of Balochistan) in Sindhi, Persian and English. The maps, preserved here, not only show us the historical facts about the terra firma, but also the geographical and demographic chronology of Sindh. Sindh Archives is not only a document preservation center, but also a research resource center for the researchers of assorted fields (i.e Historians, Archaeological and anthropological experts and linguists), who are not only facilitated here, but are also provided with space, equipment and technical facilities to work unreservedly and contribute in compiling the comprehensive history of Sindh. Sindh Archives is in process of digitizing the bits and pieces of the old record, for the long-life of the material, as well as for the facilitation of the researchers. Sindh Archives also engages various scholars for the translation and transliteration of multiple materials from time to time. I, myself, as a researcher, have always found Sindh Archives and the staff, deputed here, very cooperative and supporting. Sindh Archives is, no doubt a professional resource center on the history of Sindh.
