Been to Jamaica twice. I’m a Caribbean person myself. The food here and at Snappaz (check them out too) in my opinion best tasting food in tourist attraction Montego Bay. Everything is well seasoned. If you don’t want seasoning then stick to the hotel’s food. Please don’t ask the locals to under season their cultural foods. It’s disrespectful to them and to their culture. Either we learn to appreciate and adjust or find somewhere else your taste buds wouldn’t mind having

Real authentic Jamaican food! I ate here 3 different times during my stay. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner and it was all good. The service is top tier too. They make sure you are satisfied. It's a great value for your money. Highly recommended. Can't wait to come back!! I love it here.

Visiting from the USA and wanted to try some local food! The fish, goat and jerk chicken was amazing! The wait was not long like there said. The drinks did take a minute to come out but overall great experience. I would go back for the fish!!

The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The food matched this beauty in flavor. The chef accommodated my soy allergy and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and setting.

What a beautiful experience. This restaurant has been around since 1964 they maintain high standards which is great to see. The menu was very nice we had salmon with plantains and peas and rice It was very tasty. The red bean soup was delicious. For drinks I recommend the Irie coffee and a Red Stripe sorrel beer. Our server David made our dining experience a pleasure. We will definitely go back when in Jamaica again!

The main plus is it opens late and the service staff was friendly. The food was massively overpriced, and tasted cold/old. The stew peas wasn't good at all and cost about 3k Jamaican dollars. Should have gone to KFC or something like that.

Must go to. The Ox tail was amazing. The cost is fair. The wait time for breakfast was a little long, but the staff was extremely nice. The food was excellent!

This food was delicious! The wings are a must for appetizer and the curry chicken was great. My boyfriend got the ox tails and even though they had lots of bones he cleaned the plate! Prices are super reasonable and the staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend it!

Good food & great location. Servers are very attentive. We stopped for breakfast and had the American Breakfast with eggs, bacon, & French toast. We also had the saltfish which was tasty and the plantains were very good. The coffee is beyond expectations and absolutely delicious.

came here to try ackee as it was featuring prominently on their menu; it is an acquired taste but I liked it when mixed with the saltfish, unfortunately the bammy that came with it was absolutely drenched in oil. Nice chicken and pumpkin soup, underwhelming fruitshake, impeccable service, and a great clean space for dining. Mixed bag but perhaps their main dishes are better. Next time.

I went here alone on a Friday afternoon. My waiter was a very kind gentleman, and he welcomed me with the brightest smile that a waiter could ever give. I ordered the rum and raisin milkshake and the oxtail with rice. He brought me bread and butter to start off with, which was just amazing. I ate quietly (just because I had nobody else to talk to) but my mind was filled with compliments about the warm bread and melting butter. He then brought me the oxtail, which seemed like a pretty big portion to me. It was a shame I didn’t have anybody to share this tasty plate! The milkshake trotted along soon after, and it was way more than I’d expected (maybe 2-2.5 servings). I was literally stuffing myself with the wonderful food and drink here and realized I was not able to finish my milkshake. I asked for a plastic cup so I could take it back to the hotel to finish, and the waiter brought me one right away with a new straw. (Funny how the lid didn’t fit the cup, but who cares lol) Being a waitress back in my own country, I was just impressed by the great service here. It may not be the cheapest place to grab food, but it is definitely worth visiting!

It was okay. Good sized portions. Didn't find the ackee and saltfish or chicken to be anything super special. Rice and peas seemed a bit dry. Staff was good and the location is great.

Delicious food, scenic views, calming ambiance. Service was great. I had the jerk shrimp, should have ordered the sampler or jerk Alfredo. My food was good but I should have ordered wisely!!! Coconut cream pie was delicious. Big fresh coconut chunks inside. I will come back next time for the jerk shrimp Alfredo!

Breakfast was great! Ate here a couple of times. Had the Ackee and Saltfish, american breakfast and breakfast sandwich, all were delicious. Would’ve given 5 stars if it wasn’t for dinner, I had the jerk shrimp and wasn’t impressed. Definitely recommend for breakfast.

This restaurant is situated on the Montego Bay hip strip just across the street from the Caribbean Sea coastline. It offers a calm, rustic charm with a tropical feel all at the same time. I visited here for Sunday morning brunch and I was quite satisfied. The hostess was quick to locate seating and a waiter was at your service shortly after. The waiter was warm, courteous and attentive. The menu offers an excellent mix of traditional Jamaican breakfast options with classical North American options too. The food was warm, well prepared and palatable. The primary drawback to the experience is the limited number of drink options on the menu. Nevertheless this place is an excellent option for early morning dining once in Montego Bay. Strongly recommended.

Seriously amazing breakfast and the service was out of this world! I wish I remembered my servers name. The winning charm of this restaurant is the audience. There is a waterfall in it! Clean, delicious food and fair priced. My favorite place in Montego Bay by far.

Visited The Pelican Grill twice within two days, the first visit was on a Sunday evening, the food was excellent, service was also first class, portion sizes were very generous. It was that good we visited on the Tuesday for lunch. Same top notch standard. I would highly recommend for authentic Jamaican food. Photos of the steam fish and jerk pork chops which we had on Sunday. Forgot to take photos of the Oxtail on Tuesday, too busy eating.

We came for breakfast on a Friday morning. The service was great, our waiter was so sweet. The food is delicious! We ordered the stew pork and banana, ackee and salt fish, fried dumpling, a fish (which my guy devoured before I could get a good pic ☺️). I also really loves the ambience. There is a waterfall right outside the window and all the windows are open to let in the breeze and hear the soothing sounds.

Each time I eat there the food was good, staffs were all kind and courteous, and knowledgeable of the variety of dish they offer for breakfast lunch and dinner, noting exotic, local Jamaican dishes, and some american dishes, so if you like tasty common dishes, food that you can't go wrong with , here you will find them. Drawbacks the entrance and the parking is at a rather acute angle coming off the corner of the main road commonly call Bottom Rd, sometimes people on the roadside or a member of your own car group have to direct traffic for you to get in and out of the entrance.and the parking at the front is insufficient. And sometimes on Sunday evenings the menu is quite lacking . But it's a good experience being there, the ambiance is wonderful, the waterfall, and the paintings are lovely , and nice good food.

Amazing food, amazing people. Prices are decent for tourists but apparently super expensive for locals. Wish the portions were bigger. The restaurants oversees a beautiful park on the water. Tourist area and safe to walk around there.

The food was great authentic food I got Ackee and salt fish. Got pine juice wasn't too impressed with that. But overall it was great food. The service was also ok, food came out in a timely manner. Just took a little while for the servers to bring the check. The waterfall is also relaxing touch and the music is not too loud.

This is a very nice place. Very quiet and seemed very family friendly. The Ackee Wrap was very delicious, i was pleasantly surprised. It is not very salty for those who don't like high sodium like myself. I would definitely go back for more!

The ambiance was lovely. The flowers highlighted the wood finishing and provided well needed texture and color blocking to the restaurant. It has a romantic feel but yet it also caters to medium and small groups. The fish tank at the entrance provides a welcoming to the overall ambiance. The bathroom is tidy and smells fresh with proper and adequate toiletries available. The service is excellent. Our server was courteous and accommodating. He didn't seemed annoyed when we asked for change or orders or to adjust our order outside of the usual offerings. He checked on us to ensure we were content, we appreciated that he was available if we needed assistance. The food was good all plates were completely eaten and no complaint was had BBQ chicken, escovitch fish, rice and peas and mash potatoes. However my hiccup was with the small serving provided for the Jerk shrimp wrap for the price that was asked. It would be nice if the price was less or the servings were more even though it's an appetizer adjust accordingly. Also the wrap was mostly veggies as I didn't taste any shrimp. Overall that did not detract from the attentive staff, great customer service and the other scrumptious meals we had. I would recommend this place anytime because of the service and food.

Came here twice during our stay in Montego Bay and both times we were treated well and the food was fantastic! First visit was on a Wednesday at 7PM with a party of 6 and we were immediately seated. Second visit we arrived with a party of 16 on a Saturday at 8PM and were immediately seated again! We family-styled the apps and ordered individual mains. Get the oxtail - so nice I did it twice! The mango wings were also a hit for our big party.

The stuffed lobster was cooked perfectly 😍 The mudslide cocktail is so yummy as well ! The restaurant is very tourist forward and gives diner vibes. Convenient parking lot. Our server Shavon (hope I’m spelling it correctly) was great. I’d go again for sure.

Service was great and the food was also delicious. We tried the ackee & codfish and oxtail entrees with a side of callalloo (not on the menu). The rice and peas side was subtly tasty. The oxtail was nice and flavorful. We also got the sorrel red stripe beer and that was really yummy.

Its a nice place. Friendly staff. Not too busy but obviously popular with the locals. The fish dish was a bit average and the curried was nice but had alot of bone in it which was off putting. Not bad priced but could have been better.

Curbside dining available. This is great during this covid pandemic. The outdoor ambiance dining is relaxing with the view of the ocean. It was a pleasant experience dining at The Pelican Grill recently; friendly, courteous and helpful service...a little wait for the food. I appreciate that they opened early, I visited a little after 7am and they had ackee and saltfish, liver and callaloo ready. I ordered the ackee and saltfish and it was really good. However the mint tea I ordered was ridiculously overpriced (JM$400.00 plus tx ) for a cup of mint tea 👎👎. Overall the food was really good and the service was top notch 👌
