We
never
expected
such
peaceful
home
from
home
experience.
This
Gem
of
hotel
is
owned
by
a
Jamaican
who
is
adding
tennis
courts
as
part
of
a
planned
tennis
academy.
Through
talking
to
the
staff
we
felt
his
passion
in
the
architectural
authenticity
of
the
development
and
this
made
us
feel
a
part
of
Jamaican
life
as
opposed
to
just
another
tourist.
The
bedroom
was
clean
full
of
vibrant
colours
with
a
small
furnished
terrace
surrounded
by
views
of
lush
natural
Jamaican
beauty
and
mountain
views.
The
morning
mist
on
the
mountain
top
was
just
mystical.
It
was
easy
to
meet
and
chat
with
guests
as
if
they
were
old
friends,
as
the
friendliness
and
intamacy
of
this
hotel
experience
was
just
contagious.
So
glad
we
never
booked
into
one
of
the
inclusives.
When
we
once
wanted
to
eat
out
the
Manager
promptly
appointed
us
a
taxi
guide
who
recommended
spots
to
buy
crafts.
He
even
drove
to
the
beach
and
informed
us
of
a
restaurant
were
to
eat.
He
picked
us
up
to
drive
us
back
up
to
Takuma
Hotel.
The
quad
biking
was
amazing,
the
trail
leading
to
breathtaking
mountain
top
views
of
all
of
Montego
Bay.
The
surprise
of
a
bird
sanctuary
on
top
of
the
mountain
made
this
a
special
experience.
The
bird
sanctuary
runs
on
donations.
We
had
a
giant
parrot
on
our
arms
before.
If
they
could
get
more
help
from
national
nature
trust
or
the
public,
the
volunteer
staff
could
do
so
much
more
for
the
birds.
As
for
the
staff
generally,
they
were
incredible.
Nothing
was
two
much.
The
roof
top
bar
and
restaurant
views
made
the
traditional
Jamaican
food
at
breakfast
and
diner
even
more
pleasurable.
The
chef
even
made
pancakes
for
the
child
of
one
of
the
guests.
It
was
more
like
staying
with
family
that
actually
like
you.
The
pool
area
was
never
too
full
as
many
guests
we
met
had
come
to
Jamaica
for
conferences
and
business
were
out
during
the
day
so
at
times
it
was
as
if
we
had
the
place
to
ourselves
sometimes,
even
though
the
hotel
was
full
which
we
loved.
Watch
films
in
the
pool
and
jacuzzi
was
a
first.
We
also
walked
into
the
adjacent
community
that
live
in
Mout
Zion
who
are
very
friendly
and
knowledgeable
of
the
history.
We
have
made
a
great
connection
with
staff
and
will
be
back
next
year
for
sure
to
get
back
to
a
taste
of
real
Jamaican
hospitality.
