Visited Big Tide Brewing for lunch today. This place was great! The fish and chips were delicious, the spicy fries were filling, and the dill pickle soup was intriguing. I also liked my beer (Wild Weed Summer Ale). Our server was super nice as well.

Visited on a quiet night, so not really sure how the place is on busy days. Food was okay (me) and good (partner). Staff was friendly. I wasn't sold on the beers, but that's a matter of taste (and of when the visit took place): there weren't any IPAs or APAs, ended up having a red, which was okay but that's outside my usuals. My partner had a sour which was quite good. I was very surprised to see some Bud Lights in a fridge, sort of weird in a micro.

Went to get lunch with some family members from out of town. Was informed that not one thing on their menu is vegan. I wasn't even looking for a full meal, I would have been happy with just french fries. But even that wasn't even acceptable.

Amazing beer!! Tried every beer on tap (6 batches) and had to buy 14 cans (4 batches) on the way out. The anniversary Amber was the best I’ve tried out east across quite a few breweries. All the other beers were also great. The owner Chris shared some history with us and we had a fantastic time there. Service was excellent. Prices were very fair and I wish I could have bought more cans but I was parked a mile away. Thanks for everything! I hope to stop by again on the next road trip :)

Found this place on google maps and trusted the reviews. Hopefully you will trust mine. This was a great stop for lunch and the beers were incredible. We had poutine and pirogies.

We visited Bigtide twice during our 3 days in Saint John. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Their blueberry ale was delicious! We had an early supper today, I had the naanwich, and my husband had the clams. Both were delicious, and we will certainly be back any time we are in Saint John!

This one of our favorite brewpubs. We had the fried clams and deepfried pepperoni (both off-menu) which are amazing.

The beer was great, and fresh. I had an Irish Red Ale and my dining companion had a stout. The beer was very delicious and had a good head and flavour. The nachos were about a 6/10. Perhaps a few more minutes under the salamander to get the cheese crisped up. Chips were corn and thicker which is good because it helps them stand up rather than get really mushy. Big points there. I got this pub recommended to me as one of the best burgers in SJ. I had the bigger tide burger with bacon and cheese. It also comes with sauteed mushrooms which I opted against. Pros: hand formed, fair size portion, fresh veggies, and the pickle was good. The tomatoes were fresh though lacking a tiny bit of salt to release their flavour. The lettuce was julienne which really makes the presentation on the bun which was served open faced. The cheese was good and the bacon was flavourful. Cons: it seems they handle the beef for a long time while forming the burgers. Therefore the beef was far too firm and compacted in texture. Loose beef allows for juices to remain, this was very tightly packed like extremely processed foods which is a shame for in house food. It also felt like they didn't pat the meat dry before cooking meaning there was steam introduced reducing the maillard reaction for beautiful crispy browning. The bun seemed to also have been pressed to a thin crepe rather than the fluffy luxurious one it likely started out as. Finally although seasoned well they seem to have put oregano in the mix which detracts from the beefiness of the hand formed patty when a nice sea salt and pepper open would really allow the beef to speak for itself. I'm also confounded that restaurants seem to continue to choose the Costco style egg wash french fries when we have access to beautiful New Brunswick dark russet potatoes grown right here in our province. Please I'll pay an extra $1 for the labour if you cut and prep potatoes to make fresh fries. I post this with the extreme hope that they take on the challenge to be the best burger in Saint John as they have a fantastic location, delicious beer and a friendly staff. My search for the best burger in SJ continues. P.S. my concerns were heard by my server who took my feedback seriously and was professional in his demeanor.

This could easily be named Cheers. What a great neighborhood pub and brewery. During the Moon to Mars festival it was a hopping crazy place. But we’ll. Worth the visit! Thanks Chris.

Great place to stop in for a great meal and an even better local beer. An original brewpub in the heart of uptown Saint John this stop is a must for any beer lover.

Who doesn’t love a brew pub and Big Tide Brewing is the one and only in Saint John. Along with all the fine Beers they make on site, they also have a very tasty menu. My dinner there was certainly impressive. I started off with a French Onion soup and finished with the Italian Meatball Burger. A few of the folks I know from Saint John call this their favourite everyday restaurant and I can see why. That was a very delicious burger, it certainly left me feeling happy and full.

I love this place. Great food quality and deliciously inventive combinations that aren't too fussy mean I will come back again and again. I had the scallop risotto with their Save The Bees cocktail, and my friend got the Poutine Week option they were offering (Southwest Popcorn Chicken Poutine 🤤). Everything was amazing! Thank you for consistent awesomeness 👌
