I don't rate places as a 5 unless I go back a few times and find an establishment to be consistent. With that said .... I have zero regrets from my first visit and would not hesitate to recommend Tops to anyone in the area looking for a great diner. Coffee was good, Service was excellent, Food quality and quantity was well above average for a mom and pop diner. Prices very competitive and especially their daily specials which are true specials ! Would not hesitate to go again. Parking is in behind the restaurant BTW

This is a a great place to eat or order takeout. The meatloaf is amassing and the prices are very affordable. I love Tops pizza! They also have a the best bacon and eggs on the menu. This has to be one of the most affordable places to eat for the service and quality of the food. Highly recommended!

First of all the straws looks like their being re used their was dirt or something in my straw portions are good waiters could of given us a bit more time and ask at least twice if everyone certain and possibly ask more questions about the food items if needed place was clean food taken care of staff polite

Friendly and quick, waitress was lovely. A clean basic no frills diner, full of people chatting and reading the paper, relaxing atmosphere! Food was great, lots of coffee refills :)

My favourite place to eat uptown. The food is great and the service is fantastic. Feels like good old times every time I sit down and order. Their supper deals are always delicious and are a great value!

It was my first time visiting Tops, I have to say I can't wait to go back. I felt right at home interacting with the staff and other patrons. The Pizza and Garlic cheese fingers were delicious. The prices were great, the service was awesome. We had no issues finding on street parking. However and this is not a negative thing, bring cash, and if you don't, there is a little convenience store that has a bank machine!

My boyfriends family and I are visiting from Edmonton, AB and I must say we got the best service I could of ever imagined. You walk in and it’s a nice family friendly diner, you get very like old school diner type of a feel from this place. Good food at a great price (Especially the breakfast) and you get greeted and served by one of the nicest, most considerate servers I’ve ever met, she was a doll! cook was so nice and I couldn’t thank him more for the kindness he showed me and my boyfriend. Will absolutely be coming back! And for everyone of thinking of trying this place, you definitely should!

For the price you can’t beat Tops’ breakfast. The atmosphere is classic diner. The bacon, eggs and pan fried potatoes are delicious. And they always make my breakfast just the way I like it. The service is excellent and the staff are always friendly. Just so you are prepared it’s cash only.

We went in took 10 mins to be acknowledged this was about 2 p.m there was one other table she said oh I didn't see you slaps menus down then some regulars walked in and she went over right away with menus drinks put their order in while we hadn't even been acknowledged we still had no drinks nothing and out comes their food she comes over did u guys wanna order

The kindest people are in Saint John. I was here visiting for 2 days and when I went to settle my bill, my waitress told me an anonymous couple in the restaurant picked up the tab. I've never had that happen ANYWHERE on this planet. I went back the next day hoping to do something similar, but unfortunately, they were closed. It was still the highlight of my visit. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty.

This place has really great breakfast. The only thing better than the food is the staff.

I loved this. It was recommended by someone at the street and they were so right. Super friendly staff from Jackie to the owner and his daughter. Food was homemade and at an average quality considering the low prices. It place is clean and cozy and i can't recommended it enough. Remember cash only!

I had the Chicken Parmigiano for lunch it came with a ham and pea soup 3.5/5, very decent! The friendly atmosphere and attentive staff make it a 4/5. Check them out!

We ordered the Works Pizza and Top's (Italian) Poutine. Both were delicious and very reasonably priced. It's great that all prices include tax!

I just keep coming back again and again. I love the diner ambiance. And staffs are very polite. Food portion is good. Side dish are always in good quality too.
