THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Delicious quality food, massive portions, very affordable, and quick. They looked slammed, parking lot was full and cars lined up along the road. they took about 5-7 minutes to make two fish and chip meals and a fish burger meal. Huge portions and delicious. GO TRY THEM NOW.

Saw this on my way into St Andrews and went back for dinner to go. It's basically a seafood chip truck. Food was INCREDIBLE!! I had the Seafood Platter and the Clam Platter. Portions were plentiful and it was delicious. Only reason I have it a 4 star was the wait. To be fair there were a lot of people ahead of me. I had 13 orders in front of me and waited 25 min. Overall recommend it!

Excellent food. Welcoming staff. Ate there today with my family. Portion sizes were perfect. If you want quantity and quality this is the place to eat on Deer Island.

Stumbled on this awesome takeout with ocean view outdoor seating. A real hidden gem! Some of the best fish and chips Ive had since Bar Harbour Maine. Nice large portions also, well worth the trip to Deer Island.

Great little spot! Fried clams were great but the scallops were amazingly good! Portions were generous and the small shaded picnic table area was perfect to eat on a hot sunny day. The only negative is that the parking area was very congested and difficult to get out of.

It's a take out window with an Ocean View Deck. Excellent food, Large portions, excellent kids menu. Best Burgers I've had. I have eaten there 5 times and every time I go there. Veer Left, like you are going to the docks, it's just past the docks around the bend.

First time at clam digger, wait time was 15 min which I here is good. Seafood dinner was well presented, clams were very good, as were the scallops, fish was over cooked but tasty. Fries were great. Lobster rolls was delicious. Recommend stopping if your looking for a quick seafood fix...

Great local spot. Can get busy. Many food options to choose from. Pescatarian, vegan and vegetarian friendly. Has a playground spot for kids. Fries are hand cut ( definitley ask for the gravy) . They have many exotic flavors of milkshakes. Washrooms on premise. Picnic table dining for eat in . Offers take out as well. Staff were friendly . The wait for our food was a bit but it was worth it in the end . Absolutely would return .

Good portions and quick service. Cute seating area right beside the restaurant under the trees. Had the seafood platter which was good but would prefer some of the food to be grilled rather than deep fried. Also thought there could be a bit more shrimp in the $16 dollar plate.

The food was very fresh and delicious! We’d highly recommend this restaurant.

After reading so many great things about the Ocean View Take-Out online we knew we had to check it out when we were on Deer Island last week. We shared a Clam Platter and a large Fish & Chips. Both were delicious but the clams, omg ...sooo good!!! We were definitely not disappointed!!! 😋 We ate our meal at one of the tables available on the deck from where we also enjoyed the beautiful view. Although we didn't try the Steak Sandwich we heard good things about it as well. The person enjoying this one was kind enough to let me snap a picture of what he had left. It looks amazing ... definitely something to try next time!!! ☺️

Best of deep fried seafood for great prices. Usually super busy on weekends, you can see cars parked both sides of the road for a quite a distance. You can take out or sit at the picnics tables in front of the shop. There's also a few swings and slide where kids can have some fun. Check them out!

Ordered the Seafood Platter, and loved it. Enormous portions of fried clams, scallops, and haddock, all perfectly cooked. The scallops and clams were tender, not at all rubbery as is common with fried seafood, and the haddock was just right. I liked the homemade tartar sauce as well. Thumbs up. Note: this was more food than I could eat in one meal, so took half home for tomorrow. It’s a good size to share for two hungry adults.

We stopped here on our way to The Algonquin Resort. Food tasted great, however, it was our first day in the Maritimes and have no comparison to yet (hence the 4-stars). The prices were reasonable and staff were friendly and warm. After a 16-hr drive, we really liked the outdoor picnic style of dining. Highly recommended if you are in the St Andrews area.

A local recommended us to come eat here. Came for dinner after exploring Saint Andrews. We got the seafood platter to share. It was more than enough as the portions were fairly big. Upgraded the Fries to a poutine to share as well. It was delicious, big pieces of haddock, and good ratios of fried clams and scallops. It was pretty busy around 6 pm on a Saturday evening and the order did take a bit of time to come, about 35 minutes. We didn't mind so much as we were sitting by the red benches and resting, however if someone is really hungry, it can be quite the wait. There were a few benches around to sit in which was nice. The washroom they had was also fairly kept decent. Would recommend if visiting the area, would've never tried, but the local person did, so thank you to that.

Take out only, but they do have seating outside if you can't wait to get to eat that are shaded. This place was recommended by a local while we were in the area, and she was so right. We each got the fried haddock and fried pickles. The serving sizes were very generous. We could've shared a 3 piece dinner, I believe, and been full.sercice is fruendly and fast. Definitely recommend.

While visiting the area Saturday I used reviews to pick the best spot for clams. Peeps, you did not disappoint!! The parking lot was full and cars lined both sides of the road. With it being this busy, it was a bit of a wait to get our food but well worth it!! A hearty portion of whole fried clams and fresh fries cooked to order!! My friend had the shrimp - those were as crisp as they sounded while being eaten! Very light batter and cooked to perfection!! Should have taken a photo but one bite in I was not thinking about anything else but munching on those clams!!

We decided to try this take out based on the rating. Home cut fries over browned, hard and crunchy with bitter burned flavor. Scallops good but outside dark which made flavor off putting. Clams were clumpy and greasy. Fish batter heavy and very oily. Would not recommend.
