If u want an amazing experience with fusion Asian cuisine this is the place to go!!! Including the ambiance the place is a bliss to sit n chat and eat… Authentic experience can be experienced by the chopsticks provided on request The food was really good in taste and quantity and does total justice to the price!!! The mock tails wer really good and not overly sweet The seafood soup had a distinct seafood flavour and the crispy fish was crunchy and light to eat!!! The sushi was the highlight of the day!!! Perfect quantity of rice with fish with the perfect soy sauce to dip it in!!!! The main course the spicy Bangkok bowl was a let down though… did not find anything special about it and the taste was jus average Overall a great experience if u order the right dishes

A nicely curated choice of drinks, dimsum, sushi, noodles and rice in authentic Japanese flavours. Ambience of this place is so lively that the walls speaks through itself. The graffiti really compliments their food. Staff is cordial and we didn't experienced any kind of displeasure. I am rating it 5/5 for the overall experience it provides to eyes and glands.

Had one of the best dim sum in Chennai. Highly recommended the Assorted Non-Veg Dim Sum. The flavours are so authentic and it really captures the real East Asian essences and flavour. Price wise is a bit high compared to others but still worth the price.

Cute little place. Ambience feels refreshing. Service staff were on point. Food menu options were diverse. Proportions were filling. Taste was good. No complaints at all. Will be hanging out here more often. Try the Hawker's Summer if you're looking for something to quench your thirst. It really hits the spot.

Amazing Asian food! Tasted very authentic and yummy 😍😍 Had their pad Thai, crispy lotus stem and dim sums!! Loved all their dishes. Experimented with a wasabi drink which wasn’t great. Definitely a must try if you love Asian food 🀀🀀 Their complementary chips and sauces tasted yummy as well. Prices are a little on the higher end, but a great experience overall.

Visited here on 11th September 2021, hadn't any reservation. The staff were polite and accomodated my wife and I. I'd requested a seating area with a sofa, as my wife is pregnant. The staff managed to accomodate this request as well. We'd ordered Honey Chicken, Hong Kong Style Chicken and Spicy fried rice. Everything was served on time and presented well. The food was excellent. We had a great dining experience here and would recommend this place to anyone. Will definitely come back here soon.

The character and atmosphere of the place express the theme of Pan Asian Cuisine. Great Aesthetic space and warm ambience. The staff was polite and friendly. It costs around INR 5k for six members as we made reservations through an easy diner app, we even got an instant discount. Complimentary Rice crackers were provided. We had their scrumptious Chicken Aniseed , Crispy chilly potato, Hawkers Noodles Pad Thai, Mamagoto Goreng etc. We had a wonderful lunch there. So we couldn't take most of the dishes as we were interested in eating :p

We had a great time! the staff were very friendly and nice to us and the food was also very good. The only complain that I have is that when my order β€œSpicy Ramen Bowl” was served it wasn’t hot anymore :( but apart from that food was exceptional and love the ambience too. 4/5 experience

One of the best places to dine in in Chennai. I love their food. The friendly and cooperative stuffs makes the done in even more memorable. The food is spicy but the voice is so high quality that it does bother your system. I love coming back to this place whenever I am in Chennai. Thank you guys for serving us the way you do it. Keep up the good work.

Had a great time. First we were served with some complimentary crackers/papads which were good. Next we ordered some sushi and the Dimsum platter. Sushi was good..but not the best I had. The Dimsum platter was absolutely delicious. One of the best I've ever had..so highly recommended with the side sauces/oil which are served. For the mains we had pad thai and Goreng. Pad Thai tasted good...but I felt like the soy sauce was used more and it lacked a bit of that original Thai flavour. Goreng was good and was served with some crackers, skewers. Ambience and service was good, no complaints. Overall a good place to try some pan asian/thai food. It's on the pricey side but worth it if you want to try Thai food or if there is some ongoing offer.

An authentic Asian restaurant. As a fan of anime and to justify my fellow fans, I had some Japanese food there, and they did not disappoint! I had loved the atmosphere and place around that almost gave it a paper house vibe. Isn't that amazing! I would rate in the top 10 Asian restaurants I've been too!

The food was great, valet parking available. Staff were kind and available. But the thing is it was not upto the standards of was last year. The taste was a bit under than lead year, but the quality was good. This doesn't mean it was bad. Still it could've been a bit better.

Went at about 6.30 pm on a Sunday. Wasn't crowded at all. Their Honey Chilli Chicken is amazing. The superstar of the night was their chocolate slice cake and caramel cake. 10/10 would order again. Their Caramel Dim Sums are also really good and worth their cost.

Mamagoto has been on my bucket list for a really long time. And finally we made it there. Food was undoubtedly splendid. Super delicious and even lovely to look at. Portion size of the food is also sufficient enough for two adults and a child. The cost might pinch your pocket. It’s not budget friendly. But once in a while it’s worth it to spend once in a while. My most favourite dish was the spicy chicken, the drinks were also on point. The watermelon beach and cucumber mint cooler are a must try.

When people give 5 star rating it means all is well. Same way it was for me at this restaurant from ambience to service and food was all 5 star rated. Snapdragon was the best refreshing drink I had, dumplings were good and specially the way it was presented. Sweetcorn chicken soup qty was too filling. I appreciate the way they asked me to wait and helped to the table which I was later asked to sit and dine in. Cheers to the team and keep up the good work.

This place is everything you need for a good dinner. Great Asian ambiance with all the funny posters. Service is great and most important, the food was amazing. We had a couple of dishes: Chicken Karaage Oldschool gyoza Stir fried chicken noodles with black bean sauce California sushi Ebi fry sushi Chicken katsu sushi Caramel cake All the dishes had amazing flavours and we finished it all! Only feedback is maybe to make the sushi rice a bit less sticky and soggy, but the flavours were very good! Small advice: get the virgin mojoto!!

Food: Rice crackers - Oh WOW!! Perfect snack to start the meal with, very crispy, and with the 2 dips (One thick and spicy, the other watery and sweet) this was on-demand 🀩 Tom yum soup - Spicy and strong chicken soup with so good lemongrass flavors (topped with kaffir leaves); the signature Thai flavor was amazing but the meat was mediocre 😌 Gomai - Supposed to be sweet spinach salad but this was celery; crunchy and seasoned well with sesame dressing, GOOD πŸ€” Chicken satay - Not the best and had high expectations of a Satay; the umami flavor was saturated well inside the meat, juicy but the meat was not cooked to perfection, MEH πŸ™„ Bite-size corn fritter balls - SOΒ DAMN GOOD!! Crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside, the oriental sauce with it was spot-on as it elevated the sour flavor along every bite 😍 Tofu lantern chili and peanuts - The best tofu which was freaking soft and just melts in your mouth (braised in Chinese wine so the natural umami kick); tossed and sautΓ©ed very well in chilies and peanuts; EXTRAORDINARY flavor πŸ€— Chicken fried in dried red chili and garlic - Similar to the tofu but this one had a strong fragrance to it from the burnt garlic & spice; the meat was well cooked which went great with the spicy peri-peri dip, similar to a popcorn snack πŸ˜„ Miso broth Ramen bowl - Japanese style soft ramen in soybeans & rice broth, topped with veggies and smooth silken tofu; very strong umami taste with the soy aroma dominating all around, not sure why it was a cold noodle but the broth added good spice to the bowl πŸ‘Œ Fried rice with Thai yellow chicken curry - Very disappointing fried rice with a stench smell to it. But, the Thai yellow curry was the best I had in recent times; sweet from the coconut and strong from the lemongrass; fragrant from the basil, this had well-marinated and perfectly cooked chicken, WOWOW Curry 😘😘 Hakka noodles with stir-fried vegetables (with crunchy almonds) - Stir-fried noodles tossed in Hakka sauce and loads of veggies (or meat). Yet again, the meat was a disappointment since it was hard in spots and wasn't cooked to perfection πŸ˜‘ The gravy was soupy and very well done with exotic veggies and strong garlic, soy sauce, and crunchy almonds, It's an INTERESTING combo!!! πŸ™Œ Coconut and palm sugar ice cream - YAYYYYY taste with evident coconut texture and sugar kick; soft, no crystallizations, melts slow but hits hard on flavors, GOOD!! ☺️ Ambiance/ Price: Their ambiance is always positive for them since they are decorated with native paintings and embellishments all across the place. Their service was spot on with quick attention to detail and were courteous enough to take feedback for their dishes which didn't strike home-run. Table booking is recommended but we went on a weekday, was empty and the walk-in did well. Valet parking is available with decent parking space underneath. When it comes to the price part, they are quite expensive and one might re-think the prices for individual dishes. So, I'd recommend trying out their buffet where you get to try all their assortment under one standard menu (Card offers from various banks would be useful).

It was one of the most happening places in town a few years ago. Getting a table on weekends was next to impossible. Even weekdays were tough. But when we walked into Mamagoto on KNK Road on a Saturday night, the crowds were sparse. One wonders if there is a wave of customers who make sure they're seen at the glitzy places in town for a few short months and then they disappear to make their presence felt in another zone. The staff still make valiant attempts to capture the vibe of the past, asking if we had reservations and being quite helpful throughout. The menu thankfully has the same vibrance. And so do the walls packed with frames of kitschy art. There are practically no empty spaces. Even the ceiling has rich bursts of colour. We started with the Crystal Dimsum Veg. The stuffed vegetables were visible under the glistening skin of the dimsums. And with the variety of sauces, you could make it sweet, salty or spicy. A good beginning We progressed to the Crispy Lotus Stem. Different from the version available at other places. This was dry and crisp, not sticky. The sauces again allow you to alternate the experience And then the main course - Stir Fried Udon Noodles Vegetables. Thick noodles with loads of broccoli, mushrooms and exotic vegetables. Both filling and flavorful. Finally , the chunky Caramel Sponge Cake With Toffee Sauce. Not distinctive but above average. The food still sings but the audience seems to have melted away. Which is a pity because Mamagoto is still a lovely place to sit back and stare at the walls or the ceiling, with the vibrant colours that vividly break through

Had an average experience here. As expectations were more, they weren't exactly met, in terms of quantity of food and taste, especially because the pricing was very high. Normally for that price, you'd automatically expect something great. This was somewhat okay. We ordered, had food, but never felt full even after 3 servings. If you have a lot of time and a lot to spend, you can give this a try.

With variety of pan asian food and seperate sushi menu, one can try their classic signature dishes. The tastes are different, but definitely a good feast for your taste buds. Experience food! We enjoyed the warm hospitality by the personnel and had a lovely experience.

One of best experience in my Chennai visit, it was really awesome and were happy to go here. One of my colleague suggested this place. Ambiance, taste & choice of the food is amazing. Taking your family or friends here is always worth each penny you spend here. Mocktail I tasted was unique. If you guys want to try asian cuisines I’ll definitely recommend this place.

TLDR; Worth a revisit. I keep coming back only for the cumin lamb and the dim sum. Looking forward to trying their other meat dishes. Please make reservations to avoid wait time. Also, check to see if the non-veg dim sum platter and the cumin lamb are available. The soups are average at best. The rice and noodle dishes are a hard pass. Have tried several noodle and rice dishes and almost all of them are heavy on the soy sauce and sweet like they are doused in ketchup. 5/5 - Cumin Lamb. We came when the cumin lamb had been newly added and they'd asked for feedback. I'd indicated how it could be improved. The first time the meat was a bit too tough and the cumin flavor needed to be more prominent. In Chennai, they use the mutton steak in several places, which is a tougher meat to cook. This cut is actually more expensive than the traditional cut of mutton used for cumin lamb in China. I highly prefer the softer and thinner traditional lamb cut. It cooks much faster as well. I was pleasantly surprised when I came back a few months later, that the waitstaff had passed the above feedback on to the chef. It came out with these improvements. It was delicious. 5/5 - Non veg dim sum - Hands down the best dimsum in Chennai. Well worth the higher price to try a variety of options. It allowed me to find a favorite that I otherwise would not have gone for. My favorite is the duck potsticker. Duck is a tough meat to handle. Most people undercook it and it tastes gamey. They cook it perfectly each time. I also like the bokchoy wrapped chicken. It is very soft. Overall the other items like the potstickers and prawn dim sum are good. 3.5/5 Laksa Tribute - They do say this is Laksa with a twist. It is decent but a bit too thin for my taste. 3/5 Khao Suey - Has too much coconut flavor and not enough curry. 2/5 Bali Bamie Noodles - Tastes sweet and like maggi ketchup. Hard pass. 2.5/5 Pan Fried noodles veg- Too much soy sauce. Also hard pass. 3/5 Soggy Basil fried rice - This was accidentally given instead, as I had ordered the Spicy Bangkok bowl. It is soggy as the name indicates. I'm not sure why one would want their fried rice to be soggy. Would not recommend and would not order again. I'd only get the 6 piece duck potstickers if they actually had it as their menu states. For the past several times, they have had no lamb and no duck. What is up with restaurants not serving lamb and mutton? Many restaurants these days keep saying they don't have stock. I highly prefer mutton and lamb to chicken. If the duck potstickers and the cumin lamb are not there, this place would not be worth a revisit for me. I always leave and go to a nearby restaurant if they don't have these two dishes.

All the starters were excellent! Especially the Indonesian sticky rice rolls. And the service at the Express Avenue Mall outlet was amazing! After extensive shopping and endless walking at the mall, if you want a meal to end the day on a high, this is one very delicious option.

NUNGAMBAKKAM goes without saying, one of the best place for foodies to try out multiple cuisines !! We happen to dine in for lunch here. We tried the below: 1. Ebi Tempura Uramaki Shushi- 7/10 Tempura was crispy and shushi was good. 2. Cranberry and Orange toddy drink (served hot)- 9/10 Tasted like cranberry hot syrup and it was unique! 3. Strawberry drink - 8/10 Tasted like regular mocktail 4. Chicken Ramen noodles bowl - 6/10 Tasted Ramen bowls in various restaurants and I find them better. The smell of the broth was little odd and other than that it was a good meal. But still could be better ! Note: 1. Valet parking available 2. Booked through Dineout App, in which we got whopping 25% offer !! We received this discount and also service charge of 230rs !? They said that this charge is applicable since we availed discount through Dineout. But after confrontation they removed the charge! So be aware !! Cheers !

The place had a good ambience and decently priced. It was my first Asian cuisine experience and this place definitely makes me wanna try more of this cuisine. Though the waiters had too much confusion of what was available at the moment out of the menu their service was good but can be improved. In the pic - fried vegetable Sushi
