This hotel is rated 4-star probably largely for its internal restaurant and bar. I was not told there was a spa area during my stay. The reception area seems quite recently refreshed but that's where it acceptable standard ends. Inexperienced staff on reception, absolutely terrible damaged and filthy carpets on the stairs and on room floors. Rooms were dark, poor lighting, kitchenette lacked glass wear or plates, bathroom had peeling paint, and damaged shower head meant difficult to shower. My room looked down on the restaurant area. Price was over A$200 per night for conditions you would expect in an out of the way backpackers hostel. Seriously Avoid.

It was not the best experience. The room was booked for two persons and there was only one towel, that's why I decided to use my own one. The next day the staff have taken my towel thinking that it was the one provided by the hotel. When I informed about this to reception, they did not even apologise like it is a normal thing. Every morning we woke up to the chair noise coming from the hotel lobby/hall. My colleague had an even worse experience with a cold room and not correct registration of the room type.

Friendly staff, but I should have read the reviews before I ordered two nights at this hotel. Noise from the trains outside made it impossible to sleep. (Luckily I was drunk the first night, so the sleeping went well). No cleaness at the room and had to get a long with two towels during my stay. Nevertheless, there aren’t many places to eat and drink in the neighbourhood, so you have to go with taxi or the metro to explore the city. Besides, the hotel and the rooms definitely need a renovation.

I got this room because my other reservation canceled. Most horrible check in ever. Instead of checking everybody in, the receptionist foxused on one problem and was obviosly overwhelmed and had no idea what he was doing. I waited mor then 1 hr to get in my room

The location is close to the the train station, BUT the rooms weren’t clean, in fact the doors don’t even shut. There are holes in the walls, the air is stagnant and we slept in our clothes. The desk staff didn’t care to help. In fact, they added 100 euro to the bill for “extras” like towels, soap and wi-fi. Absolutely criminal! We had the last train to town so we were stuck. Ugh. I’d rather sleep in a taxi. Buyer beware!

Mixed feelings Pros: - Nice staff - Breakfast was good - Spacious studios - Location is OK (but there are better located hotels in the center of Lyon) Cons: - Most of the rooms are in a REALLY bad SHAPE (see pictures) and some are very poorly located (writing this review from a room in which the bed is litterally aside the elevator). - It is nice to give some fancy shower gel and shampoo but an improvement would be to have some soap for the hands. In an appart hotel it feels like the bare minimum. - The rooms could be cleaner. Conclusion : very expensive for the quality of the rooms, it is okay to spend a few nights here but try to find some other place to stay if you can.
