It’s really got to be said that the toilet does not have its own room. The toilet is in the hotel room and if someone goes the bathroom and it smells, the whole room smells. There’s no fan at all. It’s pretty awful. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where this was the set up. Be aware before you book 👍

A disaster! We booked one of the suites expecting to have a nice stay in Lyon. When we arrived to the room we found an extra bed with all the previous guest’s sheets on top of it. We kindly ask the front desk to remove it and the told us that they would remove it immediately. For the following hour nobody came to remove it so we left. Only to come back after dinner and find that the door to our room was open. Apparently they took the extra bed sometime in the afternoon and the didn’t check if the door was properly closed, exposing all our staff.

The folks that work here are extremely helpful and very nice…..in Lyon These folks went out of there way to make our stay one of the most memorable we ever had. The food was very fresh and they are definitely for the people. It was a retro hotel that performed outstanding service. The Rogans

Very modern and comfortable hotel. We booked it here because it was conveniently close to a concert venue where we attended a show. Great breakfast spread, although the breakfast buffet is a bit high (18 eur/per person) but the quality is very high it is not a continental lame breakfast. I feel like the guests are mostly young professionals but it is not a hostel vibe. They had a party on the bar on a Friday night and it seemed a lot of fun. The staff spoke good english and were very friendly.

I had a great experience during my recent stay at this modern hotel. From the moment I walked in, the sleek and stylish design caught my eye. The room was rather small but tastefully decorated and the doors and windows were pretty sound proof. The staff were welcoming and attentive, you can sense the place is rightly placed in the rather new developed confluence area with it‘s industrial charme. Location is great, getting around is easy. Would recommend this for (younger) guests who also enjoy spending time on the shared areas and don’t want to be on their room alone.

This modern decorated hotel is located in the old industrial zone of Lyon. You would expect some kind of parking space when booking a hotel not in the city center. Unfortunately they don't have that, and the public parking spaces next to the hotel are considered not safe, especially with foreign linceceplates. The hotel suggests to park in the shopping mall Confluence at 10 minute walk. They said it would be around €25 for the night. When we picked up the car after 1 night (parked from 13h-10h) we came to the unpleasant surprise of having to pay €50! That was not the purpose of choosing a budget friendly hotel 😳 For the second night we choose to park with the app OnePark in a nearby neighborhood for just €10. The rooms are a little small, but fine. The room could have been cleaner; we noticed stains in the drinking glass in the bathroom, unknown smudges on the tissue box and some mold in the shower. With the wooden shutters closed, we had no issues with the railways next to the room. The toilet is located in the room, devided with a glass door which does not cover the entire door, making it very conscious when someone is using the toilet... The restaurant can cook really well, especially the cakes and pies! We were missing something like slices of cheese or ham to put on the bread for breakfast. Also we thought that it was a bit pricey; €35 excluding drinks for the special Sunday lunch buffet (the burgers were delicious!) Or €8 for 0.5L of draftbeer. Conclusion; a nice and modern hotel, with very friendly staff. But if you are traveling budget friendly, the expensive parking challenges and the costs of going to the city center might have us considering choosing a hotel more in the city center next time.

Interesting hotel concept and good restaurant. In case you want to explore the city, the tram and bus station are close by. Although it is so close to the railway tracks you do not hear anything as the doors are isolated very well. The room is small and door to the toilet is not closed at bottom and top, which you would want to take into consideration if sharing a room. If you are alone, it is totally fine. A critical observation for me was the presence of rodents in a room down the hallway on 2nd floor and in the restaurant. Imagining that they are recording a new ratatouille film is funny only as long as you don't see them running in front of you. Definitely recommend the hotel to contract pest control..

With a strike taking place for Iberia, my travel plans were delayed and I lost most of y reservations. So instead of staying Vieux Lyon (old town) the only available decent hotel was MOB in the more modern Confluence area. This hotel is good for crashing and I noticed some work groups utilizing the spaces downstairs. It's modern and has what you need but it's small and confined and far from the best parts of Lyon. The Confluence Museum is great, but besides from the local mall, it's far from the best bits of Lyon.

MOB HOTEL Lyon Confluence proposes down-to-basics-no-nonsense rooms that are a little too basic to my taste. If all you're looking for is a place to shower and sleep, this is the right hotel for you. If you prefer a more comfortable room with a place to sit other than the bed and the uncomfortable desk chair that is on hand, you're in the wrong place. Rooms have balconies that remain largely unused because they either face the train tracks or the Euronews office building. I don't see rooms being able to accommodate more than one person at a time, but my small room was billed as a double room. If there's something exceptional about the room, it's the superfast Internet connection. Even if somewhat remote from the old heart of the city - 25 minutes by tram - the location of the hotel, not far where the two rivers meet (Saone and Rhone), makes the trip out of town worth it.

The design is very attractive, the people were welcoming but I did not like the room we stayed as it seems one side of the wall was not painted and we thought it was part of the design until we saw other few rooms next to us which was well painted or well maintained. So I am not sure if the hotel was totally booked that's why we were given that room or any other reason. But we booked it quite advance so not sure what was the issue. Except that it was good :)

Good value/ price… very cool staff but here some things to improve: - Even if the hotel has an industrial/ arty look, there we were a lot of finger prints on the wooden part above the bed/ glass door of the toilets and lot’s of scratches on the painting. - When entering in the hotel and corridors, it’s quite « dark », the carpet does not look maintained and the communal spaces would deserve a bit of ventilation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mob Hotel. It is next to the Confluence Museum which is out of the centre of Lyon, but well served by buses and trams so this is not an issue. The rooms are compact but well designed. More space for clothes and a kettle for hot drinks would be nice. We were quite happy with not having a TV. The restaurant area is informal and relaxing and we found the food and drinks good. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

It's a cool design hotel, staff friendly. Unfortunate, design came first and did not bring functionality with it... I missed basic like a coffee/teamaker, rooms where so small, not even a a door to close the bathroom was build in. So, it should have never been called a double room, it was a single room by any means... Out of the city center, therefore quiet, but a cool club/restaurant in walking distance. Puplic transport super-close. Nice design, functionality missed

The hotel is very nice. A novel concept! It is located in the new area of Lyon! The restaurant, where you can try Italian and french specialities, is very good! Warmly suggested!

The hotel is really hip and nicely decorated. The restaurant Karlito was heaven sent! A great Italian. When we entered the hotel thought the restaurant, we decided to cancel our reservation in the center and eat there. And was the right choice. Finally we got some good charcuterie board and good wine ( believe it or not we had a hard time to find them in Lyon during the Christmas exceptional time). Both in the hotel and restaurant, great service. The rooms are also cool and hip, a bit small but normal in French standarts. Although the location is a bit off the center and not much to do around, for us since we have a car, it was a very good price performance. We can go anywhere in the center in 13 min. Though the Confluence mall in 5 min walk is a good for the ones looking for something to do around. In general it is a great option for families with a car to get around and have a nice hotel with a good price. But if you want to live the Lyon experience and be in the heart of everything without driving, you might want to look for another place and open your wallet a bit more😉

One of the worst experience in a hotel, I passed. No parking dedicated for the hotel, when I called to know where can I park they told me to park on the street or in private parking 15mn walk away. I ask if there's issue to park on the street and they said no problem. I came and parked my car at 02h30 during the night. At 08h00 I found my car vandalised (windows broken, torn back seat..). When I asked the Hotel, if it's normal at my first night sleep to already have my car scratched. They answer me it's not the first time. So why not preventing the customer ? Even in reviews of the parking, I found a client of the Hotel who had a note from the Hotel to not park there : ``` Read the 5 star reviews and thought it would be OK to park here, but strongly advised by our hotel to park somewhere safer. They even had handouts to explain that this perticular car park was the most at risk. Next time we'll go somewhere else ``` WHY DID THEY NEVER SENT ME THIS INFORMATION ? In addition, 400€ for two nights it's not great value. Room is small, not equipped and looks old. THE WORST HOTEL I EVER BEEN.

Not the best of experiences... We were staying there with a group a few nights and we had all sorts of adventures.... From a mouse in the room, to staff entering a room that was occupied to hair found in towels and under pillows.... Though staff was super friendly.

Cool design and great staff. Location is also a nice spot. However I cannot emphasize enough that this is a short stay hotel the rooms are the bare minimum.

Fabulous..we have stayed at a few places in Lyon, but this will now be our go to hotel. Easy to park, very trendy and cool - my daughters thought it was amazing (aged 20 and 18). Caught the tram into town which was only a few minutes walk from the hotel. We will be back.

Stylish hotel, there's a bit of parking available outside. Location was ok. Rooms small but didn't feel cramped, the only negative about the room was the sound of ventilation in the bathroom working all the time.

Small, but cozy rooms. Nice atmosphere, friendly people. The toilet in the room is not sound-or odorproof, so it‘s good every room has a small balcony.

Following check out the day after I realized that I left my Valentino cologne. In the event that I wasn’t still in Lyon for four additional days I would’ve just forgot about it. But being that I was still in the City and the service from hotel seemed to be nice I attempted to get it back. I sent an email to the hotel along with a photo and my room number 311. I called three times as well. No response or answer. So I went to the location. Only for both receptionist to confirm that it wasn’t found. I asked if they could just double check with the cleaning staff? I checked out of room 311 at 11:30am Sunday May 29th. But that wasn’t an option. I’m all about customer service. Not only did I not receive any responses but they did absolutely nothing to assist me with this. Fortunately I was still in the City check for myself. But had I flew back to the States I would’ve never received any form of response. Especially considering this was within a 24 hour window. I highly recommend never leaving anything at this hotel. And if you do don’t expect to get it back. Regardless of how significant or sentimental it might be.

On the way to our house in Argeles sur mer, we love to stop in Lyon. We visited the MOB Hotel for the first time. We were very enthusiastic about the website and the concept. Unfortunately, there are also two points that we criticize: The toilet was not well cleaned. Dirt had accumulated on the floor in the corners. Our visit to the restaurant was also not satisfactory. We ordered via the QR code. We had to wait longer than 15 minutes for our first drink (a glass of beer, a glass of wine) - I then got both drinks myself from the counter. The food (a pizza, pasta) came only after an hour. We would have gladly accepted the long wait if the restaurant had been full. However, it was not even 20 percent occupied. The service employee was unhelpful and very bad-tempered. It is a great pity that we got this bad impression. The hotel has the perfect location, beautiful rooms and a very modern gastronomic concept.

Great place, the location was the only down side, very loud at night. But the hotel was lovely.

Super nice people. As someone passing through, it was a very convenient location next to main roads. Clean and modern place. We got an upgrade because something in our room wasn't working. Cute bar/restaurant where we had dinner. Affordable prices. Good stay.

It was nearly impossible to sleep as there was a railway just under our windows. Also it took us a lot of time to find a parking spot. The nearest one recommended by the hotel appeared to be full, so we parked in a 15-minute walk, eventually paid 30 euros for the night, and also dragged our suitcases along the road to the hotel. As a result, we were late for dinner, tired, hungry, spent money on parking, and in the end couldn't even sleep. Three starts because staff was nice and hotel is well designed. But I would not recommend it to anyone.

For its value it is excellent, the food was generally good, room was very basic but had what you need, staff was kind and the hotel had a very modern feel.

The hotel is very well located. Especially near a very good shopping mall. The staff is full of energy and ready to help and support you. The location of reception is very interestingly placed. The room is differently designed. The breakfast was fantastic. The meals in lunch and dinner were excellent. I strongly recommend if you would like to experience in a different style hotel in Lyon.
