We took a cooking class at Le Petit Farcis with Viktorija which included a market tour and three very local Niçoise dishes paired with a lovely rosé. We learned a lot at a comfortable pace, and it was great for us that she grew up in the US as language and education can sometimes create communication issues. As a result of this class, we enjoyed dining locally even more, ordering specific dishes of the region. Highly recommend, and would definitely do another class when we return to Nice — or one of their other more adventurous multiday classes.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this class, which included a visit to the market to shop for most of the ingredients. It was a bonus to experience the event with a great family of four with charming daughters that made it extra fun. We all learned many things and all had a hand in the preparation of a wonderful multi -course meal. The class started at the market at 9:00 am and we sat down to eat around 1:45 finished around 2:30. Last course was Chocolate Mousse, made from scratch like the rest of the meal was delicious. We did not need to have Dinner that day. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Rosa's cooking class! We are not very experienced cooks and she taught us so much about classical Niçoise cuisine and cooking in general. Rosa herself is very knowledgable, kind, and patient. After her tour of the market we felt much more confident going back and exploring. We would absolutely recommend this trip to any couple or friend group with a day in Nice. Very good value for money and an exceptionally memorable and full experience!

Such a fun and engaging day! We met Rosa and a small group of fellow tourists at the traditional market. She showed us through the stalls where we sampled olives, fruit, etc while she told us about local food items and customs. It was better than most tours we’ve taken. But the day got even better. Because then after buying the ingredients for a four course lunch we headed back to Rosa’s immaculate kitchen and studio to experience an excellent cooking class. Socca, a Nice chickpea crepe baked in the oven, was the starter. Really a special experience.

Unforgettable Culinary Experience at Rose's We spent a wonderful day at Rose's cooking class. We started the morning with a thorough shopping trip at the market, where we picked up the juiciest vegetables and freshest fish. We were especially fortunate to have Annie, a fish expert, join us. Rose was captivating in her storytelling about the ingredients and even provided some historical context. In the charming cooking studio located in the old town, we were greeted with fresh baguettes and delicious cheeses, after which we prepared the dishes ourselves. The entire day was a fantastic experience, filled with new knowledge and flavors. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique gastronomic adventure!

Absolutely wonderful cooking class! Rosa took us to the morning market and pointed out good food to try and spices to get. Once we had all our ingredients we walked back to the studio and made a wonderful meal. Rosa was an excellent teacher and showed us how to make several dishes, including rough puff pastry for an apple tart. We had a great time and especially enjoyed eating our creations. Highly recommend!!

We had a great time learning to cook a traditional French meal with Rosa! I enjoyed our walk through the market and learning some history of Nice. The meal we made was delicious and I’ll definitely be trying some of the recipes when I return home. Looking forward to her cookbook coming out as well!

We had a wonderful day with Rosa, first shopping at the local outdoor market on the Cours Saleya, with Rosa providing a history of the local Nice cuisine and its origins. We then walked to her lovely kitchen and made a pissaladière, the local onion tart, and a delicious lunch with homemade aioli, and chocolate mousse with olive oil! All are recipes we will take home with us. She navigated food allergies and a vegetarian in the group with great skill and the whole experience couldn’t have been more interesting, informative and fun. Highly recommend for cooks of all levels.

We absolutely loved our cooking class with Rosa! We loved learning about the regional fruits and vegetables when visiting the market and the meal we prepared was delicious and so fun to eat together. Rosa is delightful and gave us a very authentic local experience of Nice cuisine. This was my favorite experience on this trip!

My wife and I spent a delightful day with Rosa and two other students in late September. Rosa is not only a gifted cook, but also a gifted teacher. Who knew that creating tasty French dishes could be so easy and so much fun? We highly recommend a class at Les Petits Farcis. Jim and Kent Loy

This experience was great! The market tour at the beginning of the course was a fun way to learn some history of Nice and the surrounding areas. It was also great to be introduced of the local products in the region and be given direct recommendations for other vendors of quality in the old town of Nice and the surrounding neighborhoods (this was very useful to us after the course for our own shopping). Our cooking knowledge was self taught prior to this and we learned several useful tips and tricks in this class for cooking at home after our trip. The food itself (and wine) was very delicious and was very fun to prepare and cook. Rosa and her assistant were very knowledgeable, nice, and fun to talk to during the class. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone coming to Nice who enjoys food and cooking!

Four of us joined another 3 in this small cooking class. It started at 9 with an introduction of the local cuisine and how it was affected through the years. Let me just list few highlights. 1. Using local, seasonal ingredients 2. Went through the farmers market with introduction of various locally grown vegetables, spices, etc 3. Cooking menu was based on "mom's kitchen", not fancy stuff 4. Everyone is asked to help out. It's a group efforts to prepare lunch dishes for ourselves 5. Lunch is served with a full course, appetizer, entree, and dessert It is definitely a very informative, fun, and in the end, stomach fulfilling experience. Highly recommended.

This class was great! We learned all about the traditional food of Nice, and how it is made. All of my family got to participate, and we ended up making a delicious meal. Victoria was a wonderful teacher. She had answers to all of our questions, and was so fun to be around.

This is twice that I have taken the Cours Saleya market tour and live cooking class in scenic Old Nice. Each time Rosa's local knowledge and charm matched equally with her instruction and culinary skills. A delight that I will experience again when we return in October. Thank you Rosa the amazing experience.

What do you give a dear friend for his big birthday when he has everything and he is into cooking? Rosa's cooking experience in lovely old Nice! Rosa's class from shopping with her at the market in the old town to story-telling about the area to charming French country cozy setup in her studio kitchen to prepping and chopping and cooking and smelling all the aromas and sharing laughs and enjoying the prepared meal over wine with your friends, chef Rosa and her loyal helper/son Sam - that is the gift that keeps on giving! We loved it, the birthday boy loved it, and anyone taking this class will love it, too!

This was a wonderful experience with Rosa! Walking through the market and learning about the produce was so much fun. The cooking class itself was a great time and the food is very delicious! This is a great experience to share with friends/family/partner if you’re traveling to Nice, St. Tropez or Cannes. Thank you, Rosa for a stellar day!

I absolutely loved taking the Monday macaron class with Rosa. The atmosphere was a perfect place to learn, ask questions, and make tasty treats! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to learn some great cooking/baking tips. Rosa was great at answering questions and guiding everyone in the class along (as well being incredibly nice!) The class I took was a smaller group, which was great to build a small kitchen community for the duration of the class!!

We LOVED Rosa's class! It was a highlight of our time in Nice. It was a perfect mix of hands on learning, fun interaction with Rosa and our classmates, and a fantastic meal to cap it off! If you can't make the class, be sure to check out her cookbook, Nicoise, available in April 2024.
